The document discusses key trends in information and communication technology (ICT), including convergence, the six main types of social media, popular mobile operating systems, components of assistive media, and the four primary types of cloud computing including public, private, hybrid, and community clouds. Mobile technologies have advanced to 5G networking and smartphones run platforms like iOS, Android, Blackberry OS, Windows Phone OS, Symbian OS, and Web OS. Assistive media contains clients, distributed servers, and datacenters to help those with visual or reading impairments.

55. SIRI
• Siri is the name of the automated virtual assistant in
Apple's iOS series of devices.
• Siri is a service built into many apple products. It
allows users with or without disabilities to simply
press a button and issue a command or dictate an
email or text message.
58. • The public cloud is
defined as computing
services offered by third-
party providers over the
public Internet, making
them available to anyone
who wants to use or
purchase them
Public Cloud
59.
60. • provides a shared platform that is accessible to the general public
through an Internet connection.
• operated on the pay-as-per-use model and administrated by a third
party, i.e., a Cloud service provider.
• the same storage is being used by multiple users at the same time.
• owned, managed, and operated by businesses, universities,
government organizations, or a combination of them.
Public Cloud
61. • allows systems and
services to be
accessible within an
organization. It offers
increased security
because of its private
nature.
Private Cloud
62.
63.
64. • allows systems and

Convergence is the coming together of two different entities, and in the contexts of computing and technology, is the integration of two or more different technologies in a single device or system.
A good example of technological convergence is the mobile phone, originally created to make and receive calls, now, our mobile phones combine multiple technologies; calling, texting, emailing, internet browsing, taking photos and videos (plus much more) from the one device.
A good band is a great example of synergy. It's not just the drums or the guitar, or the sax, or the vocalist, it's all of them together that make up the “sound.” Each band member brings his or her strengths to the table to create something better than each could alone.
Once the user creates his/her account, he/she can set up a profile, add people, share content, etc
Example: Facebook and Google+
Most of the sites allow you to create a tag to others.
Stumble Upon, Pinterest
The users can also comment on the post and comments may also be rank.

Snapchat is still a popular microblogging site for teens, as is TikTok, both for short videos recorded with your smart phone (or at least looking like that's how they were done) Social channels like Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest offer popular platforms for microblogging.
Microblogging is a short blog post designed for quick and typically direct audience interactions.

Forums are typically part of a certain website or web service
Tumblr is known for offering users an excellent experience on the one of the best microblogging sites in the world. Aside from the 140 character-capped 'tumblelogs,' users can easily share other media, including images, videos, and links.
The popularity of smartphones and tablets has taken a major rise over the years. This is large because of the capability of the device to do the tasks that were originally found in PCs. Several of these devices are capable of using high-speed internet. the 5th generation mobile network. It is a new global wireless standard after 1G, 2G, 3G, and 4G networks.H+ Your device is using High-Speed Packet Access. This is still a very common network and most smartphones connect to it regularly when newer networks aren't available. It is an enhanced form of 3G technology. HSPA provides higher data transfer rates than the basic 3G
Is H better than 4G?
It indicates that you have a very high-speed mobile internet connection. The first difference between a 4G and an H+ network is that H+ has a much fast data transfer rate, which indicates that it has a maximum download speed of 42 Mbps. Because of the high-speed capabilities, H+ also demands a stronger signal than 4G.

Symbian OS is an operating system designed for mobile devices. Symbian was the leading smartphone platform up from 2003 up until 2010 (even 2011 for Europe). After that Google's Android OS took the lead. The core Symbian OS originally provided no user interface
a component under Assistive technology (AT), which is a generic. term used to refer to a group of software or hardware devices by which people with. disabilities can access computers. Cloud Storage is a mode of computer data storage in which digital data is stored on servers in off-site locations. The servers are maintained by a third-party provider who is responsible for hosting, managing, and securing data stored on its infrastructure.
What is OneDrive and how is it used?
OneDrive for home is online personal storage that you get when you set up a Microsoft account to use services such as Outlook.com or Xbox. Instead of running an e-mail program on your computer, you log in to a Web e-mail account remotely. The software and storage for your account don’t exist on your computer – it’s on the service’s computer cloud.
A distributed database system appears to a user as a single server but is, in fact, a set of two or more servers. The data on each server can be simultaneously accessed and modified via a network.
A data center is a facility that provides shared access to applications and data using a complex network, compute, and storage infrastructure. Industry standards exist to assist in designing, constructing, and maintaining data center facilities and infrastructures to ensure the data is both secure and highly available.
The primary difference on a technical level in a comparison between Data Center and vs Server is that
Assistive Technology (AT) is any device, software or equipment that helps people with disabilities work around challenges so they can learn, communicate and simply function better. For instance, software that reads aloud text from a computer is AT.
The name Siri is primarily a female name of Scandinavian origin that means Beautiful Victory. Siri is a diminutive form of Sigrid. It also means "mystery" or "secret" in Swahili.
A public cloud is an IT model where public cloud service providers make computing services—including compute and storage, develop-and-deploy environments, and applications—available on-demand to organizations and individuals over the public internet.
In a private cloud, computing resources are dedicated and proprietary, and a single organization hosts and manages the system. What makes it private is the fact that the underlying hardware layer is segregated from any other client's infrastructure
A community cloud in computing is a collaborative effort in which infrastructure is shared between several organizations from a specific community with common concerns, whether managed internally or by a third-party and hosted internally or externally
Organizations having similar computing concerns and have shared interests can share it
Hybrid cloud refers to a combination of at least 2 computing environments that share information with one another and run a uniform series of applications for a business or enterprise.
