TRAINING INSTITUTE USC Lahore
Utility Stores Corporation of Pakistan is welfare organization in
government sector providing the basic essential food items to the
general public at very economical rates. There are 6000 stores all
over Pakistan and more than 15,000 employees working in the
organization.
A Training Institute was established in 2007 at Lahore for the
Training and Development of USC employees all over Pakistan.
The aim of Training Institute USC Lahore is to impart training to all
new inductees in USC. To motivate, train and develop staff to ensure
that they are sufficiently trained in order to maintain efficiency and
required standard of performance.
OBJECTIVES OFTHETRAINING INSTITUTE
To educate the newly inducted personnel to perform their
duties effectively and efficiently.
To create Training teams to impart Training at all levels in
respective Zones of USC.
To constantly evaluate the performance of the newly
inducted personnel's in USC.
To evaluate all personnel and recommend for retention in
USC.
All personnel’s of USC who are not up to the standard must
be weeded out .
To carry out refresher courses of all personnel employed in
USC on quarterly basis.
To arrange workshop for senior management.

Training of USC Executives at PIM
• Pakistan Institute of Management (PIM) is the pioneer
Institute working under the Ministry of Industries and
conducting professional training courses to the Public and
Private sector Organizations.
• Training Institute USC under the supervision of Sr. General
Manager (HR & A) have made efforts and got 50 % discount in
all the professional courses for the USC Executives at PIM.
• General Managers, Zonal Managers, Regional Managers and
Other Officers of USC participated in the Training Courses
held at Pakistan Institute of Management (PIM) Lahore,
Karachi and Islamabad.

Future Plans ofTraining Institute USC
a. Training of Newly Inducted Employees: Training Institute will
commence training of all newly inducted employees of remaining
Zones.
b. Training of Remaining Accounts Staff: Training of Remaining Accounts
Staff including Accounts Assistants, Audit Assistants, Accounts Clerks
and Assistant Account Officers of all Zones will be conducted by Training
Institute USC Lahore.
c. Training of USC Employees on Regular Basis: As Training is a
continuous process therefore Training Institute will train employees
from all zones at regular basis to improve the efficiency and bring about
change in working of USC.
d. Collaboration with Pakistan Institute of Management (PIM): Training
Institute will conduct special training programs for the USC executives,
Area Managers and Regional Managers with the collaboration of PIM.
Future Plans ofTraining Institute USC
f. Computer Operators Training at Pakistan Computer Bureau: Training
Institute USC will conduct Data entry operators training with the
collaborations of Pakistan Computer Bureau.
g. Training of Warehouse Staff: Training Institute will conduct the
Training of all remainingWarehouse Staff at all Zones.
h. Training of Sales Staff: Training Institute will conduct the Training of
energetic and motivated sales staff to create a second line of Store
Incharges.
i. Preparation of Video Lectures: Training Institute planned to prepare
video lectures for sales staff.
Conclusion
Efficient working of Trained USC sale
staff would lead USC to the way of
progress by increasing sale, decreasing
expenses and also decreasing shortages.

towards the image building of USC and to
motivate and train the staff of USC for
smooth functioning according to the latest

TRAINING INSTITUTE USC Lahore Utility Stores Corporation of Pakistan is welfare organization in government sector providing the basic essential food items to the general public at very economical rates. There are 6000 stores all over Pakistan and more than 15,000 employees working in the organization. A Training Institute was established in 2007 at Lahore for the Training and Development of USC employees all over Pakistan. The aim of Training Institute USC Lahore is to impart training to all new inductees in USC. To motivate, train and develop staff to ensure that they are sufficiently trained in order to maintain efficiency and required standard of performance.

OBJECTIVES OFTHETRAINING INSTITUTE To educate the newly inducted personnel to perform their duties effectively and efficiently. To create Training teams to impart Training at all levels in respective Zones of USC. To constantly evaluate the performance of the newly inducted personnel's in USC. To evaluate all personnel and recommend for retention in USC. All personnel’s of USC who are not up to the standard must be weeded out . To carry out refresher courses of all personnel employed in USC on quarterly basis. To arrange workshop for senior management.

Training of Remaining Accounts Staff: Training of Remaining Accounts Staff including Accounts Assistants, Audit Assistants, Accounts Clerks and Assistant Account Officers of all Zones will be conducted by Training Institute USC Lahore. c. Training of USC Employees on Regular Basis: As Training is a continuous process therefore Training Institute will train employees from all zones at regular basis to improve the efficiency and bring about change in working of USC. d. Collaboration with Pakistan Institute of Management (PIM): Training Institute will conduct special training programs for the USC executives, Area Managers and Regional Managers with the collaboration of PIM.
  • 14. Future Plans ofTraining Institute USC f. Computer Operators Training at Pakistan Computer Bureau: Training Institute USC will conduct Data entry operators training with the collaborations of Pakistan Computer Bureau. g. Training of Warehouse Staff: Training Institute will conduct the Training of all remainingWarehouse Staff at all Zones. h. Training of Sales Staff: Training Institute will conduct the Training of energetic and motivated sales staff to create a second line of Store Incharges. i. Preparation of Video Lectures: Training Institute planned to prepare video lectures for sales staff.
  • 15. Conclusion Efficient working of Trained USC sale staff would lead USC to the way of progress by increasing sale, decreasing expenses and also decreasing shortages.
  • 16. Role ofTraining Institute Training Institute USC plays a vital role towards the image building of USC and to motivate and train the staff of USC for smooth functioning according to the latest modern selling techniques of 21st century.
