CENTER FOR AUTOMATION TECHNOLOGY
Automation Technology Programs, Projects and Services
Center for Automation Technology – an Overview
Center for Automation Technology was started in 2008 by Senthil V,
an
Electronics and Telecommunication Engineer from the Prestigious PSG
College
of Technology, Coimbatore, that ranks 14 in the all India engineering
colleges
and 04 in the private engineering colleges in India
He switched on to automation early in his career even when the trend
among
his peers was to latch onto IT job. He has been singularly instrumental
in
establishing the center for automation technology from 2008 to 2013
in the
state of Kerala and pan India there on. Center for Automation
Technology and
Senthil were awarded the chitra thirunal award in Kerala in 2009 for
efficiently
promoting automation education among polytechnic college students.
From 2014, he has also guided several Indian and African companies to
develop solutions for smart city automation. Some of the solutions
developed in
center for automation technology under his guidance are
1. Street lighting automation for smart cities – initially developed on
request
from Wipro technologies but later prototyped in association with
another automation company in Bangalore
2. Water distribution management for potable water in cities using
prepaid
scheme with mobile applications – developed for Rwanda to be
implemented
in their capital city Kigali. The project is to be implemented in 2017
-2018
3. Agriculture automation including irrigation and fertilizer delivery – A
separate company called Innagro Automation Private Limited was formed in
Pune to implement the solution Pan India starting from Nashik Zone.
4. And many more in Waste Management, Building Automation, Lawn
Center for Automation Technology – an Overview
He is a writer in the various facets of automation in printed and in
online journals
like Industrial Automation Magazine published from Mumbai . He is a
sector
editor in an on line journal published from Delhi that is dedicated to
automation
and control systems
He has initiated to bring out a monthly automation magazine from
CfAT in the
next two years that shall be circulated free of charge with
sponsorships from
Multinational players in Automation Technology.
From 2015, He has been working to get students certified in
automation
technology in campus by multinational companies through his links. The
student steps out of college with a graduation in engineering and a
valid
certification in automation technology.
Center for Automation Technology – an Overview
Senthil is actively involved in promoting automation and allied
technologies through his non profit involvement in social
networks and Technical Press in India
