They are becoming economically feasible because the cost of lasers, ICs, MEMS, and other electronic components are falling at 25 to 40% per year. If the cost of autonomous vehicles fall 25% a year, the cost of the electronics associated with autonomous vehicles will fall 90% in 10 years. Dedicating roads to autonomous vehicles is necessary to achieve the most benefits from autonomous vehicles. While using autonomous vehicles in combination with conventional vehicles can free drivers for other activities, dedicating roads to autonomous vehicles can dramatically reduce congestion, increase speeds, and thus increase the number of cars per area of the road. They can also reduce accidents, insurance, and the number of traffic police. These slide discuss the use of wireless technologies for the control and coordination of autonomous vehicles. Improvements in bandwidth, speed, and latency (delays) along with improvements in computer processing are occurring and these improvements are making dedicated roads for autonomous vehicles economically feasible.

VCN is Vehicular Cloud Network which is the combination of VANET and cloud. Vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) technology has been used in many of the applications such as avoiding traffic jam on roadways and airways, preventing the vehicles from accidents and so on. It serve as one of the best platform to meet with group-oriented services which comes under one of the primary application classes. Multicast routing is used to support such services. In such cases one must have to ensure better packet delivery ratio, lower delays and reduced control overheads. Thus, there is a need to design stable and reliable multicast routing protocols for VANETs. In this paper, we proposed a Receiver Based Multicast Routing Protocol that finds a best way to perform the multicast traffic. RBMulticast stores destination list inside the packet header, this destination list provides information on all multicast members to which this packet is targeted .And it stores the traced information or data in the cloud for given period of time. Thus, the multicast tree is not required for this process and therefore no tree state stored at the intermediate nodes.

A CAR POOLING MODEL WITH CMGV AND CMGNV STOCHASTIC VEHICLE TRAVEL TIMES
Carpooling (also car-sharing, ride-sharing, lift-sharing), is the sharing of car journeys so
that more than one person travels in a car. It helps to resolve a variety of problems that continue to
plague urban areas, ranging from energy demands and traffic congestion to environmental pollution.
Most of the existing method used stochastic disturbances arising from variations in vehicle travel
times for carpooling. However it doesn’t deal with the unmet demand with uncertain demand of the
vehicle for car pooling. To deal with this the proposed system uses Chance constrained
formulation/Programming (CCP) approach of the problem with stochastic demand and travel time
parameters, under mild assumptions on the distribution of stochastic parameters; and relates it with a
robust optimization approach. Since real problem sizes can be large, it could be difficult to find
optimal solutions within a reasonable period of time. Therefore solution algorithm using tabu
heuristic solution approach is developed to solve the model. Therefore, we constructed a stochastic
carpooling model that considers the in- fluence of stochastic travel times. The model is formulated as
an integer multiple commodity network flow problem. Since real problem sizes can be large, it could
be difficult to find optimal solutions within a reasonable period of time.

Creating Smart City Public Transit System on Blockchain
City transit systems have high no-load costs associated with fare systems, routing software, and annual vendor leases. This document proposes reducing these costs by implementing an on-demand, just-in-time transit system on blockchain. This would allow any transit provider to join the network and bid for rides using micro-bidding. Rides would be fulfilled based on smart contracts selecting the best route. This new paradigm could provide true first-mile, last-mile connectivity by integrating bikes, scooters, and other services to link users to the larger transit system. The proposed system aims to lower costs and increase innovation by removing vendor lock-ins.
Cloud Computing for Vehicle Networks
This presentation proposes a three-tier cloud architecture for vehicle networks called V-Cloud. The first tier contains devices in vehicles like sensors, GPS and smartphones. The second tier enables in-vehicle, vehicle-to-vehicle, and vehicle-to-infrastructure communication. The third tier provides context-based, communication-based, and customized services through the cloud. V-Cloud would make real-time services possible, allow resource sharing between vehicles cost-effectively, and provide accurate personalized services through cloud computing. In conclusion, as vehicles and communication technologies advance, V-Cloud could improve safety, connectivity and comfort through its tiered cloud architecture.

Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software Fuzzing
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.
