Traditional Ukrainian cuisine features several iconic dishes. Borsch is a popular vegetable soup, often made with beets, that has over 30 regional recipes and sometimes includes meat. Korovai is a round braided bread decorated with birds and flowers that is traditionally served at weddings. Varenyky are boiled dumplings usually filled with potatoes, cabbage, cheese or fruit and topped with butter, sour cream or fried meat.

Here is introduction and description of our usual life through the eyes of a Kyiv's citizen. Here I'm saying about history of Ukraine, about usual life, about our problems and successes, about our politicians, about revolutions, about war agains russian terrorists. Presentation took little less than 2 hours and students were satisfied enough to applause looong time:)

2. Traditional Ukrainian Food
There are many tasty dishes in Ukraine which are different from all
Europe cuisine. The cuisine of Ukraine is based on traditional
Ukrainian recipes, but also has influences of its neighbours'
cuisines like Russian & Polish Meat (especially pork), potatoes,
vegetables, fruit, mushrooms, berries & herbs play a major part.

3. Borsch
Borsch— vegetable soup (most common form

Varenyky— boiled dumplings, usually filled with
potatoes, cabbage, cheese, or seasonal fruits,
topped with butter and sugar or shkvarky (fried
bits of salo and onions), accompanied with sour
cream.
6. Syrnyky
Syrnyky— cottage cheese fritters,
sometimes with raisins.
7. Pampushky
Pampushky — fried, rich sweet dough similar to
doughnut holes. Frequently tossed with
cinnamon sugar. Pampushky (pl., singular is
pampusho'k) can also be filled with poppy seed
or other sweet fillings.
