Despite the alternate time period and character roles, this graphic novel tells the same story as Shakespeare’s play.

Although Shakespeare’s story features two teenage characters, students may feel a bit removed from the protagonists due to the unfamiliar language they use and the setting of the play. This graphic novel still incorporates some of the most famous bits of dialogue from Shakespeare’s work, but the reimagining of the story will seem more relatable to students.
