Introduction:
Maintaining Track Record of a project is a very important which plays a vital role from the
start of a project to completion of a project. Updating the information on a day basis and
consolidated by monthly basis will be useful to review the status of activity/project at any
point of time.
Contents of a Track Record:
Track record should have the Job order No, Date of Start of Activity, Description of Activity
and Status of Activity or Remarks. Companies may include additional information according
to their requirements of a project like Completion Date, Target Date, Responsible
person,etc.,
Why It’s Important:
First of all it’s a confidential document and can be used for legal issues. Sometimes there
may be a confusion arise in an activity. Client and Contractor may not agree on some point.
We can show a proof if we maintain a track record. Another issue which is common now a
days that some key personnel may leave the company and the information handled by the
person may not be available when required even though proper handing over and other
formalities are in place.
Conclusion:
If we maintain the track record of any project and will be updated by the document controller
on a daily basis, which will be useful at any point of time during review of the project.
