Teacher Professional Development (TPD) is a home grown national teacher development programme conducted in Nepal. It is highly based on the teachers' individual and organizational needs. The teacher is considered as a reflective practitioner in his/her professional career. The teacher has to develop Teaching Improvement Plan (TIP) and carry out any two pedagogical project works during the training period. The TPD has been segmented into three parts: Training-workshops(TW), Self-study Exercise (SSE) and Instructional Counseling (IC). The TW is conducted in the training hubs and the rest parts in the trainee teachers' schools.
