Toyota of North Charlotte Tips: How to pack for a family road trip!
1. Toyota of North Charlotte Tips: How to pack
for a family road trip!
It’s that time of year when many NC families are hitting the road to visit loved ones for the holidays. At
North Charlotte Toyota we have a few tips and tricks up our sleeves to help you get the most out of
packing. With a family, packing can be a frantic process. Have you ever had a car that you can’t fit
everything in? That’s extremely stressful! But if you pack the right way and have a new Toyota near
Charlotte with plenty of room, packing for road trips during the holidays will be a breeze!
Always select the smallest bags possible! When packing clothing, it’s a lot easier to separate outfits into
different plastic bags. In your kids’ bags you can separate each outfit for each day. Matching is easier and
so is finding it in the suitcase. This way you won’t need to unpack an entire suitcase to find a matching top
and pants.
Stow blankets under the seats of your new Toyota in N Charlotte!
When packing, there is one thing you should leave out –the essentials. If you’re going to be traveling for
more than a day, keep everyone’s toothbrushes labeled and in a separate bag. Keep medicines, baby
wipes and snacks all in a separate bag that you can keep in the front seat of your new Toyota near
Charlotte.
Another great tip is to keep large blankets or towels stowed underneath the seat of your Toyota in N
Charlotte. These can be multipurpose. Used as blankets or to cover Christmas presents in the back seat,
towels and blankets are kept out of sight but can be pulled out easily to use.
2. For safety’s sake, write the names of people and their phone numbers on a card and tape it underneath
the glove box in your N Charlotte Toyota. That way, if an emergency happens you’ll have the people who
need to be contacted right on a little card in a very easy to reach location.
Assign a bag to each passenger!
If you’re traveling with kids, be sure that each child has a job. You can give responsibility to each child to
carry one thing. Make sure that they can lift a bag. It will keep the road trip running smoothly and packing
and unpacking much easier. It’s also harder to lose track of a bag when each person is responsible for
one.
Do you think your car is up for a trip? If you’re unsure, take it for a check-up at our Charlotte Service
Center. We have a great staff of Toyota certified technicians, who are qualified to look at any make or
model. Checking your tire pressure and being sure your engine is running smoothly is extremely
important. If your car isn’t performing, then you should check out our selection of new Toyota in N
Charlotte.
