This document outlines an agenda for a teacher training session focused on examining curriculum documents and planning instruction. The goals are to: 1) examine features of curriculum documents, 2) develop formative assessment strategies, and 3) plan aligned instruction meeting student needs. Teachers will learn about critical document elements like essential understandings, guiding questions, and assessments. They will practice connecting objectives to language standards and identifying formative assessments. Teachers will receive support customizing curriculum maps and planning lessons using presented frameworks. The session aims to help teachers effectively utilize curriculum resources and assessment strategies.

FIRE’s offer in the next years will transform towards a service-oriented framework where the concept of Experimentation as a Service (EaaS) will be central.
This publication gives an insight into what is real and usable today in FIRE including FIRE success stories and information how to get access to FIRE facilities together with the FIRE project descriptions.

Emissions Trading Media Briefing February 2009David Hone
An overview of emissions trading (cap-and-trade), how it works and a focus on allocation of allowances. This presentation was given by Shell to a group of London media representatives on February 18th 2009.
This course examines the fundamental process, theories, and methods that enhance a student's overall writing ability. It introduces various strategies for writing within multiple disciplines and professions. This course examines basic principles of effective college-level writing through drafting and revising sentences, paragraphs, and essays. Topics to improve sentence structure and clarity include grammar, punctuation, and word choice. In addition to learning proper research techniques, students explore various writing genres including narration, cause and effect, compare and contrast, definition, and argumentation.
Developmental Writing is a not-for-credit course which prepares students to successfully complete English Composition I.
