4. Global warming is a phenomenon of climate change
characterized by a general change in average
temperature of the earth which modifies the weather
balance & ecosystem for a long time.
What is Global Warming?
7. Greenhouse Effects:
`
Greenhouse effect is the phenomenon in which the heat and light
of sun enters to the earth’s atmospheres but cannot go out as they
are trapped by the greenhouse gases, as a result temperature rises.
Some of the causes of Global Warming are
8. Greenhouse gases mainly comprise of carbon dioxide, methane
oxide. These gases are lighter than air, so they rise up to the
outer limits of the earth’s atmosphere and settle up, and keeping
it within our environment, and increase the temperature.
Greenhouse Gases
9. Agriculture produces large amount of methane and nitrous oxide
worldwide, as accounted by IPCC. There are numerous agriculture
sources of greenhouse gases. Livestock grazing, waste management and
digestive gases contribute half of the emissions produced by agriculture.
Nitrogen fertilizers (used for increasing production) release nitrous oxide
and comprise 35 percent of agriculture emissions.
Agriculture
10. According to NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration).
Deforestation is responsible for nearly one-fourth of the amount of carbon
emitted to the atmosphere. The planet cuts and burns nearly 34 million
acres of trees each year, including million of acres of rainforest.
Trees and plants take up the carbon dioxide and provide us pure, clean
breathable oxygen as a free by product of the plant life cycle.
Deforestation
12. Asia has vast population and the frequency of natural
disasters ensure climate change will have a
devastating impact in the region.
Asia is home to three of the world’s top five polluters:
1. China
2. India
3. Japan
How climate change will affect Asia ?
13. Booming population ensure Asia emits more
carbon di oxide. According to Global Carbon
Project in 2017, China, India and Japan were
ranked 1st, 3rd and 5th among the world’s worst
polluting countries.
How much does Asia contribute to
global warming?
14. The Paris Climate Agreement was signed by
195 countries in an ambition attempt to
prevent global temperature rising 2 degree
Celsius from pre-industrial levels.
China, in particular has presented it self as an
international climate champion and to invest
$361 billion in renewable 2016 and 2020.
What are Asian countries doing to tackle
the issue:
15. To take control on global warming the
government of all countries should play a role
to not burn fuels and to not release carbon
dioxide, chlorofluorocarbon in a heavy
amount. They should notified the industries to
take a control on this issue.
How to global warming could be
controlled:
17. Rise in sea levels
Due to rise in temperature , the Glaciers present in regions are
melting rapidly, as a result there is sufficient rise in sea level.
There are Numerous Effect of Global warming, some of the effects of global
warming observed across the world are
18. Higher temperature leads to fast evaporation of water and
leads to drought in one part of water and leads to drought in
one part , and heavy rainfall causes flooding in other part of
the world. Experts have estimated that, drought condition
might be increasing by at least 66 percent in upcoming years.
Droughts and Floods
19. Wildlife researchers have noticed some of the species
migrating to the poles , far north and far south to
maintain their needed habitat.
Effect on biodiversity
20. We can prevent Global warming by reducing the demand of fossil
fuels and by using the energy more wisely.
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
We can reduce the emission the carbon dioxide by choosing reusable product
instead disposables.
Prevention of Global warming
21. We can save energy by replacing regular light bulbs
with compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs.
Using compact fluorescent light (CFL):
22. We can save electricity and reduce global warming by
turning off lights, television, computer and many
others electrical appliance, when not in use
Turning off low Electrical Appliance
23. Global warming is a main issue of developing
countries. Mainly Asian countries are affected by
global warming, such as developing countries like
India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and are under _ influence
of global warming, they have no control on it and
releasing CO2 , CFCs in very high amount and burning
fossil fuels.
