SELF DISCIPLINE
&
SELF CONTROL
PRE-INTERNSHIP
Answer the question ………
Status Quo
&
Quo Vadis
Status quo: the current situation -
the way things are now …!!
What is the reality..?
Variety of existence – being in action
❖ instinctive activity 🡪 : prompted,
encouraged, driven by natural instinct or
propensity: arising spontaneously, innate
behavior pushes us to action….
Example: fill hungry and get something (food) to
eat, fill thirsty and have a drink, ….etc.
The animal smells good and delicious
things on the table and is willing to
get it WITHOUT THINKING that it
belonged to the master….
❖ “ A Human is Animal Rationale” (Rational Animal –
Scholastic Philosophy) Man is an animal, but a rational
animal. The special gift to man is that he can decide
what is good, and what is bad, man can plan for his
life,.. etc. He has got an extra knowledge than the
animals.
❖Intuitive Being - the invisible
bridge between our conscious and
unconscious minds. It involves a
piece of information that you are
not exactly conscious of, and it
involves an emotional element.
Therefore, a highly intuitive person
will be capable of generating
information without using a known
logical or rational process and will
act accordingly (Penney Pierce,
2020).
Quo Vadis 🡪 Where are you going…, what is your
destination…what is your goal, purpose, and ideal…..
Skills in reasoning:
Reasoning skills, and mindset,
generally refer to critical thinking
skills like analysis, evaluation, and
synthesis. However, they also
include wider skills like more
abstract thinking, creative thinking,
information processing, and
problem-solving (using either
Divergent thinking or Convergent
thinking).
Humans do not have just an
intellectual capacity but
many kinds of intelligence,
including musical,
interpersonal, spatial-
visual, and linguistic
intelligence (Howard Earl
Gardner,
former, 1983)
