Attending Law School
The law is a powerful tool for the disfranchised and disadvantaged. It can be very difficult to
respect yourself in a culture that disrespects you daily. As farmworkers, my parents rights were
ignored due to their economic and educational background, regrettably justice only exits for those
with resources and knowledge of our legal system. As an educator, I have experienced the wrong
in situations with school issues that could have had a legal approach but most often parents were
uninformed. I have experienced again and again that justice is not given to people that are unaware
of their legal rights. Attending law school provides the opportunity to grow in many aspects,
knowledge, skills, and as a person to advocate for equality for marginalized... Show more content on

I began by researching and creating presentations and informative packets for parents of skills they
could apply in their daily lives. Aware of the tiring and backbreaking labor parents endured daily, I
was not discouraged by the low attendance during the meetings as informing some was better than
none. It was time consuming process and people asked where I got the energy, as creating letters for
meetings, presentations, buying snacks, and assuring that information be beneficial for parents in
attendance to implement. Having the desire, conviction, and bringing a sense of hope by informing
parents of their rights and answering questions created an caring identity that brought admiration
and respect. That admiration boosted my confidence and energy to move forward to do more, the
view of hope and confidence on parents faces who are informed willing to stand up encourages to
continue on that path. It was hope and encouragement from parents that led me to apply to parent
state conferences in where I would present to a larger audience only energized to continue on this
path of informing parents of their legal rights. Nervous and excited were common feelings at each
presentation hoping the information presented would help bring hope and encouragement for
parents become aware of their rights. At the end of each presentation, appreciative and thankful
parents in addition their kind words of encouragement to continue on my path of informing parents
helped me inexplicably. I continued applying and presenting at conferences for four years,
presenting at a national conference brought a feeling of accomplishment of what I had envisioned

Characteristics Of Fragile X Syndrome
Fragile X Syndrome is a genetic disorder that causes intellectual disability and is very common.
The main characteristic is that children find it hard to process, understand information and work.

noticeable physical traits like a different face or a big head circumference. This disability causes
difficulty in learning, development and in their behaviour social/behavioural.
It is more common in boys than girls, and usually more severe, but anyone can get it. Fragile X
Syndrome is the most common genetically inherited disability with affecting around 100000

females. It is estimated that in Australia, 1 child per ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The X chromosome is a sex chromosome which is normally seen in women as (XX) and in men
(XY). The FMR1 is a mental retardation gene. Its main function is to give a set of guidelines for
the body in making protein. When this gene is lengthened the process of making the protein is
stopped and involves brain development and other functions. Fragile X Syndrome can be passed
down through generations. A daughter born to a father who has FXS will be affected but the son
will not be effected as they do not inherit the fathers X chromosome. If the mother has FXS both
genders have 50% of inheriting this syndrome.
Management of Fragile X Syndrome can start with an individual assessment and designing
medication specifically made to help manage the effects of the syndrome. This medication can
manage behavioural and emotional issues commonly seen in FXS like anxiety, ADHD, OCD, and
mood instability. Management also includes for family members and people dealing with people
with FXS to understand the syndrome and how to get treatment and sort out education plans if they
are to attend

Persuasive Decisions Arising From The Courts Of Other...
We further find persuasive decisions arising from the courts of other jurisdictions that have, by
an overwhelming majority, refused to endorse the usurpation of the jurisdiction of a court with
concurrent jurisdiction via the failure to permit the matter to be resolved in its original forum.
See, e.g., First Midwest Corp. v. Corp. Fin. Assoc., 663 N. W. 2d 888, 892 93 (Iowa 2003)
(holding that it was an abuse of discretion to deny stay while matter was pending in neighboring
state) (citing Waicker, supra, 347 Md. at 115); Woodmen of the World Life Ins. Soc y, 549 N.W.2d
172, 176 (Neb. 1996) (holding that entertaining [a] declaratory judgmentaction was an abuse of
discretion where same issue were pending in West Virginia); Simmons v. Superior Court in and
for L.A. Cnty., 214 P.2d 844, 848 49 (1950) ( The fruits of the recognition of the rule of comity
have been so beneficient, when applied to courts of concurrent jurisdiction created by differed
sovereignties, as to justify the conclusion that it is not only a rule of comity, but one of necessity.
(internal quotations omitted)); Phelps v. Mut. Reserve Fund Life Ass n, 112 F. 453, 465 66 (6th
Cir. 1901) ( It is a rule of almost universal application that, between courts of the same sovereignty
and concurrent jurisdiction, the court which first acquires jurisdiction of the controversy . . .
should be suffered by every other court to decide every question within the sphere of the pending
cause . . . . ). These persuasive

Functions of Retail Management
FUNCTIONS OF RETAIL MANAGEMENT
When attempting to start a business, having a keen understanding of the goals of management
through the main four management functions is one key to seeing success, both with the operation
and with employees. With this said, a vital part of planning of the management end will involve
three important activities.
The first stage, planning involves developing a systematic process for attaining the goals of the
organization...Leaders make change happen through planning instead of reacting to change (EntEd
2007).
The first of which will be to lay out the goals that will be set for the hypothetical sporting goods
store used as the example, the second will be to create a business plan since the development ...

It will be important for them to realize how every task they complete connects to the goals or the
business plan so there is a sense of value and something at stake. Directing will not end at this
stage or even after the business is open, it will continue to be a necessary component that I must
actively keep up with in order for this sporting goods store to succeed.
Controlling goes hand in hand with directing as it will be important for me as a manager and
owner to match the tasks delegated with the business plan and goals so that I can keep firm tabs on
how we are progressing. This not only involves monitoring of progress but being vigilant so that if
negative changes are occurring I can resolve the issue. As Richman (2006) more succinctly puts it,
when it comes to controlling, in project management terms, it involves determining variances from
the approved plan, then taking action to correct those variances.
Through my fulfilling of these four important functions of management, I would be a permissive
leader. For a small business like this sporting goods store that has a very small number of
employees and only two other managers, it is necessary to allow everyone to have an equal
hand in important decisions. While directing is a large part of my responsibility, I would still like
to allow employees and managers a great deal of leeway concerning how they perform the tasks
assigned and if those decisions on how to work are not productive, only then will

The Medi A Negative Image Of Lawyers And Judges Essay
The media often portrays a negative image of lawyers and judges. The way that lawyers and
judges act in media can be described as selfish justice. The meaning of selfish justice refers to the
lack of concern that lawyers and judges can have regarding the fairness of a trial and the
consequences that a ruling can have on another human life. To clarify, in most crime television
shows and even in reality, an innocent person can easily be found guilty in court if the district
attorney has enough evidence to prove the defendant crime and if the defense lawyer is not able to
counter the evidence. However, many district attorneys as represented on television do not exhibit
honesty when it comes to presenting evidence. For example, many episodes showcase district
attorneys put false witnesses in the stand to testify against the defendant. Their goal is to
manipulate the jury to make them believe that there is enough evidence to procure a guilty verdict.
Personal injury and medical malpractice cases are other similar situations. The majority of
personal injury and medical malpractice cases get thrown out due to the lack of evidence to
compensate the plaintiff (the litigating party) for damages. Thus, we can describe these situations
as selfish justice. Lawyer, clients, witness, and judges are considered as selfish justice because the
way in which they rule and deal with the lives of others demonstrates lack of consideration for
human life and justice in the courtroom. Several

The Financial Status of PepsiCo, Inc. and Coca-Cola Essay
When looking at the financial status of PepsiCo, Inc. and Coca Cola, every dollar amount in every
column has some significance. To find out what these amounts represent a financial comparison of
both companies is required. Using financial analysis tools such as vertical analysis, horizontal
analysis, and ratio analysis, one can get a clearer picture of the financial status of each company.
Horizontal Analysis When evaluating financial statement data for a specific period of time we use

VERTICAL ANALYSIS This financial tool can also be used to evaluate the financial status of
both PepsiCo, Inc. and Coca Cola. Vertical analysis expresses each item as a percentage of a base

Advantage And Disadvantage Of Ssdm
SSADM is an analysis and design methodology that follows a structural tactic for Implementation
of a system. In the beginning of 80th of the past century this method was developed for
government of Great Britain. In 1993 it was accepted as the national standard of Great Britain and
as a reason the SSADM usage is expedient for those who work with governmental organizations and
this method is a standard for these organizations.
Unlike the conventional approach SSADM is DATA driven and data modeling begins very early in
the development of Information system. . SSADM may also represent the document led approach
to system design, and can be contrasts with Rapid Application Development Method such as
Dynamic System Development Model (DSDM).

The Pros And Cons Of Women
Working outside of the home was rare for women at a time and was wrong if it was done.
Women that did work outside of the home were not taken seriously being seen as less intelligent
than men and less able to cope with stress (Harrington 16). They were physically and
intellectually inferior so women weren t usually allowed to face the outside world (Collins 4 5).
Women were told if they worked, they would be taking jobs away from men that needed to
support their families, but in reality most women who worked did so to support their families as
well (Harrington 17 18). The unemployment rates surpassed men s 4.7% to 2.8% in the 1960s
(Ward 101). It was thought that women had no real ambition to work (Harrington 16). Though it
wasn t typical for a women to work, it was said the poor and single women should work until
they were married (Chafe 21). Even then it was a stretch for a woman to work considering
single women were seen as prey in the workplace (Nies 15). The usual jobs women were stuck
into were teachers, nurses, and secretaries (Kesselman 31). Even if qualified, women couldn t
work high level federal jobs (Nies 46). A lot of the time, women wouldn t even receive credit for
the jobs they did (Povich 78). Not only were women stuck in jobs they didn t enjoy, but they were
also paid less and were not provided with health or retirement benefits (Harrington 18). They were
being denied the right to show potential in what they did and felt restricted because of it (Senker

Compare And Contrast Alice And Lia Vidaurri
It all started when a Mexican mother decided that she wanted her children and her brother s
children to have a better education than she was ever given. In the fall of 1944, Soledad Vidaurri
decided to take her children and her nephews to enroll in the Seventeenth Street School in
Westminster, California. Although they were cousins and had the same Mexican heritage, the
MГ©ndez children and the Vidaurri children looked very different: Sylvia, Gonzalo Jr., and
Geronimo MГ©ndez had dark skin, hair, and eyes, while Alice and Virginia Vidaurri had fair
complexions and features. An administrator took one look over those five children and decided
that Alice and Virginia could stay but their dark skinned cousins could not and would have to
register at Hoover School, the town s Mexican school. Outraged and in complete disbelief of what
just happened, Vidaurri took all the kids home and decided not to register any of them. (A Tale of
Two Schools)
Their parents found out what had happened and they were in utter disbelief. At first, Gonzalo and
Felicitas Mendez decided to go back to the school and tried discussing the situation with the school s
administration, but they weren t able to reach an agreement. Dissatisfied with the outcome, Gonzalo

The Song This Jesus Must Die
Musicals are a living form of art. A musical combines dance, dialogue, characters, music,
costumes and vocals in order to represent a moral issue. Some appear at the forefront of the plot
while others are presented alongside the storyline. A fitting example of a musical, is Jesus Christ
Superstar composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber. This musical is perfect as it is entirely sung, has
amazing rock musicand has themes and moral issues carefully intertwine throughout the plot.
However, the largest moral issue or dilemma is how popularity can negatively and positively affect
the main character Jesus.
The song This Jesus must Die is an excellent example of the negative side of popularity, as it
shows the Romans planning to kill Jesus before he surpasses them in power. The song begins
with a moderate tempo of 72bpm in a time signature of 4/4. However, the use of semibreves and
the organ slows the perceived tempo, giving the score a ghostly and ominous feel (seen in bars 1
13 and figure 1 and 2). This ominous feel is throughout these bars, as it represents the tension
between Jesus s power and the Roman authority. This also clearly sets up the roman s character, as
a dominating evil force. Furthermore, the use dissonant harmonies in the key of D minor such as

Breast Calcification Research Paper
By Jonas Wilson, Ing. Med.
Diagnosing calcification
In addition to routine blood and biochemical tests to check for underlying factors such as
hypovitaminosis K, hypervitaminosis D or hypercalcemia, X rays (e.g. for the breasts) and CT
scans (e.g. for the brain) may be used to detect calcifying deposits. The two types of breasts
calcifications, macro and micro calcifications look like large randomly dispersed dots and white
specks on the mammogram (breast X ray), respectively. Breast calcification tissue may be removed
and biopsied in order to rule out more serious pathologies such as cancer.
Arterial calcifications, for example in the coronary arteries, may be detected in vivo (in a living
person) by methods such as electron beam computed tomography (EBCT) coronary arteriography,
plain film X rays, fluoroscopy, intravascular ultrasound, MRI and CT scan. EBCT and fluoroscopy
are the most commonly used techniques in the blood vessel investigations, while CT scans are very
sensitive for the detection as well as the localization of intracranial calcifications. Calcifications
produce the appearance of high density material on CT scans and X rays.
Non neoplastic dystrophic and metastatic calcifications caused by conditions such as infections,
trauma and neoplasms, appear with radiolucent centers on radiographs. ... Show more content on

Argumentative Essay On Year Round School
For decades, primary and secondary schools are stuck in tradition of having school for nine
months and having several long breaks including a two month summer break. Several states in the
United States and in Canada have been throwing around the idea of year round school. Some say
that year round schooling is a good thing for the children and others say that the children need a
break from school, but also have a higher chance of forgetting the material before they return to
school the following year. With year round school, its focusing more on the students educationand
not the convivence for parents and school board. With having year round schools, students will
be able to obtain more information and perform better in the classroom. The children will learn
more in the classroom along with learning outside on their own. In the article, Why does
education stop in summer by editor Sylvia Stead, it states that a lot can be forgotten in the space
of eight or 10 weeks . Given this information it causes schools to give a second thought to
changing to year round school. Year round schools have been proven to help children learn better
in the classroom and outside. It helps maintain the students learning process to be able to focus
more on helping them retain the information and keep it throughout the school year. Stead has
seen how the school year has been set up to only be nine months with a summer break and she is
now seeing the school year as year round. She grew up

The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz Duddy is No Monster
I think you re rotten, says Yvette at the end of The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz, I wish you
were dead (Richler 318). This sentiment is echoed throughout a substantial amount of the criticism
of Mordecai Richler s tale. At best, we question whether Duddy has learned anything during his
apprenticeship; at worst, we accuse him of taking a tremendous step backwards, of becoming an
utterly contemptible human being. When Duddy steals money from his friend and admirer, Virgil,

which he may never recover; but careful consideration of the events leading up to the theft, the ...

The force of Max s storytelling teaches Duddy that the Boy Wonder is someone to be emulated. In
Duddy Kravitz, from Apprentice to Legend, Grant McGregor describes Duddy s life as
apprenticeship to a perverted myth (McGregor 133), and in many ways this is true. Although he
presents an image of success, and Max Kravitz s tales make him out to be the ultimate
accomplished businessman, Jerry Dingleman is a corrupt, cruel person. For his entire life,
Duddy has been told that he will never succeed, but he is resilient. With the Boy Wonder as his
example, Duddy intends to prove everyone wrong. He liked to think, in fact, that point for point
he was a lot like the Boy Wonder before he had made his name (62). The audience is made aware,
fairly early on, that the Boy Wonder is a crook, but this information eludes Duddy until far into
the story, when Duddy has already achieved some measure of success by his own means, part of it
by the trickery he mastered during his high school years, but now that he has matured quite a bit,

Automated Patch Deployment
Automated Patch Deployment Automated Patch Deployment The advantages of automated patch
deployment are several. This study offers an insight in some of the most noticeable benefits of the
implementation of patches especially those relating to the enhancement of production levels in a
production setting. An organization stands the chance of increasing its productivity levels at the
individual level once automated patches are deployed. As a result, the entire productivity of the
organization increases (King, 2007). Another advantage of automated patch deployment is the
enhancement of the security levels within an organization. The risk of losing confidential
information concerning clients, employees and other resources of an organization are on the rise
across the globe. Such critical information could land in the wrong hands making it detrimental to
an organization. Through the patches, it is possible to fix security problems within an organization
s network. Attackers use these vulnerabilities for malicious purposes. An effective, automated patch
deployment will be able to minimize the risk of experiencing security breaches in a timely manner
(Godbout, 2007). Compliance with different regulations can be met through automated patch
deployment. These regulations are designed to enhance the public good, as well as, uphold best
practices regarding IT infrastructure. The enhanced productivity and security that come with the
automated patch deployment comes at a cost. This

quality make this sedan a segment winner and a fuel efficiency champion.
The Toyota CamryHybrid is unchanged for 2016. As before, this sedan remains available in three
trim levels: LE Hybrid, SE Hybrid, and XLE Hybrid.

However, the horsepower increases to 200 during hard acceleration, when the gasoline engine and
the electric motor are working in tandem. Off the line acceleration is admirable, causing the front
wheels to spin at times. On the highway, the Toyota Camry Hybrid has no loss of power, especially
during those times when it is needed.
Beyond the hybrid s respectable performance, its handling corresponds to what other sedans in this
segment provide a relatively uninvolved experience. Steering is light to the touch and what most
drivers should find tuned to their satisfaction. Braking is firm and confident.
For hybrid drivers desiring to optimize fuel economy, the sedan should be operated in Eco mode.
The normal mode is the default mode and does not have a corresponding button. Both EV and
Eco modes are controlled by separate switches located between the front seats. The EV mode
allows the Camry Hybrid to operate at speeds of up to 25 mpg as an electric vehicle, but not for
more than one mile. Operating in anything but normal mode impedes performance, but the trade off
is improved fuel efficiency.
The EPA rates the 2016 Toyota Camry Hybrid at 43 mpg in the city and 39 mpg on the highway.
However, this driver averaged 33.5 mpg over 280 miles, as cold temperatures impeded its fuel
efficiency even when operated almost exclusively in Eco

America s Westward Expansion
During America s Westward expansion, many individuals struggled to survive. The dangers of
traveling were deadly to all groups. This especially applied to the emigrants on the Oregon trail.
The terrain on the trail was harsh which made the journey very difficult. The emigrants on the
Oregon Trail faced the most difficulty trying to survive in the West because of the disease,
expensive costsof travel, and environmental threats.
To begin, the emigrants on the Oregon Trail encountered several problems. The many problems
they encountered are why they faced the most difficulty trying to survive in the West. One problem
the travelers faced was disease. Among the many months of travel, sickness was spread.
Unfortunately, they were very deadly.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Knowing that the trail they traveled on was more than 2,000 miles long, it would be a long
journey. On their trip, there were many supplies that were needed in order to survive. The more
distance they traveled, the more supplies they needed. From this, everything would not be cheap.
The emigrants traveled on wagons that were pulled by animals. The wagons were mainly made out
of wood that had a waterproof linen canvas covering it. Linda Alchin states, The costof a wagon
ranged from $100 to $200 dollars... (Oregon Trail). This was expensive during the time period.
They faced difficulty because the cost of the wagon was not worth it in some situations. The
wagons had no suspension, resulting in people to walk instead of riding. This made it very
uncomfortable for the emigrants. Also, on the rocky trail, many wagons tipped over, crushing
people. The highly priced cost of travel made it difficult for the travelers to afford what was
needed in order to survive the long and harsh trip. Also, the wagons were pulled by different
kinds of animals such as horses, cows, mules and oxen. These animals were important to the
emigrants as a survival tool, but they were not cheap. In the article Oregon Trail for Kids, the
author states that the cost of the animal was about fifty dollars(Oregon Trail).Like the wagon cost,
the animal was expensive. The Prospectors in Gold Rush also faced the same challenge. Instead of
wagons and animals, they had to pay a certain amount of money to travel by boat. Although it was
hard for them to pay money to travel, the emigrants were faced with more difficulty because they
payed a higher amount. Therefore, the cost to travel for the emigrants on the Oregon trail was not
cheap. As a result, it was difficult to

Outsourced
PART A
Intentional marketing: International marketing is the process of planning and under taking
transactions across national boundaries that involve exchange. Outsourcing is a film directed by
Jeff coat. A comedy talks of conflict between cultures and the romantic era. It revolves around the
American Indian culture. In the film, you can see the characters deal with the issue of outsourcing
by exploring the differences between the American and Indian culture. In dealing with the
current trend of outsourcing, outsourcing captures not only the lives of the new India, but also
from the newly globalized world and the importance of understanding between cultures. It also
does a wonderful job of presenting the beauty of India s cultural and slip for many Americans to
travel to such a different and exotic cultures and experiencing culture shock.. So, here goes a
little inspiration from the film. Cultural shock and personal experiences major pass in the film
was based largely on the experiences of John himself during his time abroad. It deals with the
issue of outsourcing as well. Otherwise, it would have been very easy for filmmakers to fall back
to the stereotypes while pinning and shoot this film. Instead, they did a very impressive job of
capturing a good and realistic snapshot of

Science Should Progress Through Falsification And...
Popper believes science should progress through falsification and demarcation as a way to
distinguish real scientific theories from pseudoscience. (A. Popper) Falsification is how a
scientist should look at a problem they are attempting to solve instead of using existing theories
and treating them as scientific laws you should instead try and prove existing theories wrong
using emperical evidence to solve the questions being asked. (A. Popper) believes Science keeps
moving forward and the only way to progress is to prove existing theories wrong, replacing them
with new theories. In contrast verification of theories (attempting to prove a theory right) holds
little water with Popper this is because proving a theory right has already been done. All a
researcher must do to prove a theory right is duplicate a previous study or experiment and this
according to (A. Popper) is not science and is not the advancement of scientific knowledge.
Furthermore (A. Popper 4.0 The growth of Human Knowledge) Popper believes science is
falsifiable and that their are no true facts. The scientific methoduses a deductive process. However
this deductice process does not compare the hypothesis and conclusions with the actual theory. All
observations and conclusions are theory based. Discussed previously theories according to Popper
should be scrutinized using falsification.
Popper has a four step procedure for his view of the deductive process. (A. Popper 4.0 The growth

Can the Bombing of Dresden Be Justified
Can the bombing of Dresden be justified?
Dresden was Germanys 7th largest city at the time of the war. Historically, Dresden had been
northern Germany s cultural centre a city filled with museums and historic buildings. The
Frauenkirche Cathedral was one of the world s famous buildings. Dresden was also an extremely
important industrial area, which was something that the allies really did not want, but before
February 1945 Dresden was a peaceful country and there were not any threats from the British yet.,
Many refugees had fled to Dresden from the east because of the Soviet Union s attack; therefore

Otherwise we shall come into control of an utterly ruined land. by Winston Churchill, 28 march

Although there are other reasons that come through that make the bombing of Dresden seem like
an unnecessary part of the war effort. In the first place Britain did not even start the war. In 1919
Ital, England, France, and U.S came to an agreement that Germany had to pay for all the damage
they did in the First World War. When Hitler heard of this he started organising an army, air force
and started making allies, like Mussillon s Italy. Six months later Hitler breaks the treaty and starts
another war.
Germany withdrew from the Geneva disarmament conference, which meant they refused to
support a British proposal that air bombing be banned. Dresden was also a very important rail
centre for moving troops, concentration camp prisoners and war material but it would be no
good if the allies destroyed the buildings and factories, because if there will be, still human s; they
can rebuild it. The war factories of Dresden employed around 10,000 people, many of which lived
in the very centre of the city.
The Russians were asking for help from Britain and the u.s.a because Dresden was too close to
the Russian front line. The number of people that died shows clearly how the Nazi s failed to
provide air raid shelter. People

Facts About Nonpoint Source Pollution
Engineers classify water pollution based on its origin. Ecological engineers, or ecoengineers,
investigate water pollution and make recommendations about how to reduce or prevent further
contamination. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) uses this research to mandate the
actions that each state should take to make its water supply safe. The Department of Environmental
Protection (DEP) reinforces these regulations in each respective state. The American Water Works
Association (AWWA) works globally to maintain water treatment practices. Across all these
organizations, ecoengineers investigate waterways to help keep them safe for public use.

Arndt went on to recommend that the EPA issue more funds to the state, via the 319 grant, to help

nitrogen and phosphorous deposits. Additionally, he cited runoff from NPS pollution as the most
likely culprit. The chair urged the EPA to rethink how it distributes funds, and to make algae
reduction a top priority. The AWWA has engineered several protocols to handle algae contamination

Not Our Stars, But The Most Well Known Epic Poems Of The...
Not in Our Stars, But in Ourselves
Whose fault? / Whose but his own? is a question that has been raised many times in human history
(Milton 3.96). Many authors and poets have tackled the question of why humanity is constantly
tested and tempted to sin, and, further, whether humanity has the free will to decide its own fate.
After the Reformation of the Catholic church that created Protestantism, the idea of
predestination was very popular. Protestant ideology claimed that only a few people were
destined to be saved or damned by God, and that only some people will be saved. This created a
general anxiety about faith and free will in Renaissance England, leading many to question who
was at fault when human beings sin. Two of the most well known epic poems of the Renaissance
era are The Faerie Queene by Edmund Spenser and Paradise Lost by John Milton. Both poems
feature characters that face trials and tribulations, and how the respective poems deal with the
trails reveals different ideas about fate, free will, and the idea of being tested. Both poems use
temptation relation to female bodies and sexual desire, diverse reactions to falling and failure, and
prophecy that contribute to two different ideas about free will and the role of God in the lives of
his creations.
Female seduction and sexual temptation are featured both in The Faerie Queene and Paradise
Lost, but are represented in different ways. In Paradise Lost, Eve leads to the eventual downfall of
Adam because she

Achieving The Same Mission At The Kimberly Clark Andean...
Originally set up as a top down environment, the Kimberly Clark Andean Region struggled with
getting everyone within the organization focused on achieving the same mission. Wanting to
expand their reach and market share, Sergio Nacach realized that he needed to find a way to
connect the employees to the company. Prior to his arrival, the company philosophy was that, the
solution was always to come from better products and better advertising... Decisions were top down
and the senior positions had all the power (Clark, 3). Having managementhold all the power,
allowed the employees to believe there impact didn t matter. As Nacach became more involved
within the organization, the company began to move their focus away from a strictly top down
model into one where individuals were more involved in the decisions that they often times knew
more about than the top level management. Instead of only having the leaders of the organization
be the big individuals in the company, KC established that any personin charge of even or or three
people was a leader.... developed a plan to motivate those who were moving the wheels of the
organization (Clark, 10). While not at the level of being completely focused on People s
Proposition, the steps that Kimberly Clark is taking is pushing the company in that direction.
Kimberly Clark recognized that what is best for their company success is giving their employees an

minimal effort with great results. Such results would be an effect from stimulants, diet pills,

How Democracy Is The Only System Of Governance
During my investigation for the CIA I visited several autocracies, some successful, some not. I also
visited several democracies some struggling and some unrivaled in their success. Although there are
cons of each system of government I have come to the conclusion that democracy is the only
system of governance that would fit best with the United States of America and set it up for success
in the future. Democracyis defined as a governmentby the people; a form of government in which
the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised directly by them or by their elected
agents under a free electoral system. 1 The United States of America is meant to be ruled by
many instead of a select few. A broad participation in government now more than ever is key in
order to get through these tough times and come out a stronger more resilient country. A
democracy will not be as easy or as clean cut as a autocracybut it will be the right thing to do for
the country s success in the long run, socially, economically and to stay the strong world power
that we are. In democracy the right decisions may not be made all the time. But there tends to be
a happy medium that makes sure everyone gets a little bit of what they wanted in a democracy.
Instead of one person or a small group of people controlling the country a democracy is a
collaboration of many different groups and ideas. As a specialist in my field I feel like these
qualities that democracy gives to the government is key to

Disadvantages Of Costas
Spain is the fourth largest country in Europe and due to its extensive Mediterranean coastline and
mild climate, it offers the discerning tourist a wide variety of resorts that are guaranteed to please.
There is something for everyone, whatever their specific holiday requirements, but sun worshippers
and water sports enthusiasts alike are well catered for. Due to the availability of cheap flights and
holiday packages, and an average of two to three hours flight duration from most northern European
airports, Spaincontinues to be one of the most popular holiday destinations on the planet.
Apart from the Costa Verde (Green Coast), the Costa Vasca in northern Spain, and The Costa
Galicia in the north west, the most popular Spanish coastal resorts for sun seekers continue along
the entire east coast of mainland Spain, stretching from the French to the Portuguese border.
Virtually any of these resorts will be ideal for beach based holidays, although some are more
popular than others depending on proximity to the regional airport. Originally fishing communities,
these areas now derive their main livelihood from tourism. The Spanish Costas (meaning coasts)
often merge into one another in areas that are highly developed. Going from north to south here is a
brief introduction.
By flying to Girona airport in Catalonia, or Barcelona, beach lovers can discover many sheltered
coves ideal for sunbathing and swimming which have largely maintained their original
character throughout the decades of being a popular package holiday destination. However,
those who desire sandy beaches rather than pebbly ones may be disappointed. This is the Costa
nearest to southern France. The premier resorts of Lloret de Mar and its quieter neighbour,
Tossa del Mar are located here, Lloret offers great night life to the young and lively set as well as
quality beach time during daylight hours. Amazingly intact medieval castles are typical of this
region so there is plenty to discover for those in search of history and cultural enrichment.
Barcelona is also easily reached if a day trip to the city is something you wish to do as a change
from a day on the beach. Here you can spend a day discovering the famous Sagrada Familia which

All children are unique and learn in different ways, however, when it comes to their motivation
they will most likely fall into one of two categories. Extrinsic motivation revolves around grades

supportive way (explanatory rationales, and acknowledgment of the children s perspectives and

why Roman started becoming eager and excited to engage and try new things.
Including more team based activities helped Roman feel a sense of belonging and safety.
Maintaining a high ratio of positive statements as well as expressing respect for all students, builds
trust in the classroom. (Evertson, C. M., Emmer, E. T). By implementing activities that had more of
a collaborative process, peer encouragement and help were more evident and motivation can
increase when everyone feels safe and helps each other. (Hagelskamp, C. 51 (3 4), 530 54). Roman
began not fearing participating in activities once he knew that everyone supported each other and
their input. Additionally, educational games where students cheer on their teammates boosted self

GГјnter Blobel was born on May 21, 1936 in a small Silesian village in Waltersdorf, Germany,

during the end of January 1945, his life took a turn for the worse. The Russian Red Armywas
quickly advancing on the town, so his family had to flee in a small car to a relative s house in
Dresden. A few days later, on February 13, 1945, only days after their stay in Dresden, one of
the most disastrous air bombing attacks of WW II decimated the city. As Blobel describes it,
the red night sky reflected the raging firestorm that destroyed the jewels of this once great city

long before the war came to an end, but the months before and after were miserable and hard as
his family had to live separated with no communication and little food. Then, on September 9,
1945, he learned that his oldest sister, Ruth, who was only 19, was killed after a train she was

His life revolves around his problems, and he seems helpless in evading them. Among others,
Holden finds himself facing the issues of acceptance of death, growing up, and his own self
destructiveness.
One of the hardships Holden must cope with is his inability to come to terms with death, in
particular that of his younger brother, Allie. Holden seems to have experienced a... Show more

In chapter twenty five, Holden, while walking along Fifth Avenue, begins to believe that he will
not be able to get to the other side of the street each time he reaches the end of a block, as if he will
just fall off. He talks aloud to Allie to help him get through the ordeal. Holden also continues to see
Allie as one of the few things he likes about life.
Yet another demon that Holden avoids is the process of having to grow up. Throughout the book,
he seems hesitant to develop any real ambitions or goals. He is a perpetual failure at school. He
refuses to associate himself with mature ways of living, and so isolates himself from anyone his
own age or older. This is all directly connected to Holden s picture perfect image of his
childhood. He sees this particular period of his life as his own personal paradise. He does not
want to finalize the fact that he has to concede it s innocence in the end. Towards the end of the
book, Holden shows his desire for life to remain as it was by saying, ...certain things should stay
the way they are. You ought to be able to stick them in one of those big glass cases and just leave
them alone. Holden does not want to join a world of phonies and greed, a world lacking in
carelessness and irresponsibility. He won t, whether consciously or not, accept the fact that he has
no choice.
A final conflict in the life of Holden Caufield is his own self destructiveness. That he is

Tenochtitlan
Regarding the provenance of the raw materials, in this work we focus in the limestone, being an
important construction material that was not present in the immediate surroundings of
Tenochtitlan. In fact, this was an island city, located in the middle of a volcanic basin, and the
nearest geological limestone outcrops were located far away. According to the historical sources
written during the 16th century, the Aztecs imported by way of tribute and commerce lime and
limestone from different regions. For instance, the tributary lists known as the MatrГcula de
Tributos (1991, 22) and the Codex Mendoza (1992, 28r, 42r) record that lime loads were brought
periodically from Tepeacac (a province located in the modern state of Puebla) and from Atotonilco

On the other hand, the native informants of Friar
Bernardino de SahagГєn (1979, xi:221r) speak about different kinds of limestone used to paint:
chimaltizatl and tetizatl. After SahagГєn (2000, 1132), the first came from Huaxtepec (near
Cuernavaca, Morelos) and was sold in the market, while the second one was obtained in the small
rivers near Tula (in the modern state of Hidalgo). For the new enlargement of the Templo
Mayor ordered around ad 1467 by Motecuhzoma I, mentioned above, the lime would have been
provided by the people from the Cuernavaca area, in the modern state of Morelos (DurГЎn 1984;
Nicholson 1987; LГіpez LujГЎn et al. 2003; LГіpez LujГЎn 2006). Understanding the provenance
of the limestone used in the plasters of Templo Mayor, and clarifying whether there were changes
over time in the outcrops exploited, could therefore help in better understanding the relationship
between the Mexicas and their neighbours in Central Mexico and verifying what the historical
sources suggest.
The three areas in which the main outcrops were possibly exploited in Prehispanic

Duck Goose Effect
She was one of the kids constantly trying to get one of the college students to pick her up and
when they would not she would start fake crying and stop once she realized it was not working.
While in the gym, whenever a student became hurt the teachers would not pick them up and would
simply tell them they are alright. I did not understand their reasoning for it because they were
willing to hold the kids just because, but once a child became hurt, they would not hold them and
would simply brush them off. Also, during gym time a game of Duck Duck Goose was started by
about five students. The girl who was it, became mad because while she was going around the
circle another student jumped up and started with her out the blue then the other girls

The Virtual Size The World Wide Web
Our generation thrived in one field incredibly fast, technology. We have developed so much
technology that there is no telling the virtual size the World Wide Web. A lot of software has been
invented and written to try and contribute to organizing this ungodly number of pages, texts, music,
pictures and videos. The Search engines came to life and became a billion dollar industry once a
reliable, user friendly version made it to customers. Giant companies invest giant money into these
businesses and aspire to branch out to a lot more than just virtual reality. Companies such as
Yahoo!, Google, Bing, and Amazon have battled for dominance but Google Inc. emerged
victorious. Google owners Larry Page and Sergey Brin built an empire that lead... Show more

The core or heart of Google is the simple need to access the most relevant, latest information in
response to the customized search. This fundamental idea has survived everything and still exists
today in their philosophy. With technology breakthroughs at the time Google managed to provide
the most useful, relevant and reliable service stepping ahead of rivals. Marketing approach risks
paid off for the most used engine when unlike competition advertising plans google decided not to
use the sticky approach which included filling the page up with adds and recommendations
hoping people would grow more attached. Google didn t include advertisements on their website,
they purposely deviated away from that to keep genuine to the main functional purpose which is
providing people with better results. When you open Google s website, you re welcomed by a
screen that s mostly white, large colorful LOGO and not much else. There s a search box with
two buttons under it. One to search and the now famous I m feeling lucky button which instantly
leads you to the first site found for you without displaying the found results. As the sell per click
windows crowded other pages, google based their few acquired advertisements on search relevancy
which gave you recent suggestions on what you seek. Search results are usually very intelligent and

Great Gatsby Color Symbolism Essay
Colors can be symbolic of infinite various things. Artists take this truth into attention while
selecting the colors they use in their paintings; as these colors are used to generate emotions
inside their target market. Identical to an artist, F. Scott Fitzgerald makes use of light and color in
his masterpiece to create float and harmony. There is, however, an additional, extensive motive for
his use of light and coloration symbolism. Fitzgerald uses lights and hues to focus on the critical
battle, Gatsby and Daisy s courting. The first of the many colors used in the novel is white. The
first time Nick met Daisy and Jordan they had been each in white (Fitzgerald 12). White, in

The Big Pine, Garlock, And San Andreas Fault
The three faults being considered are thought to have influenced the character of some 120,000
square miles. The Big Pine, Garlock, and San Andreas faults are all mutually active, deep, long,
and steep and noted as being conjugate shears. In concert, the faults have defined a primary strain
pattern of relative east west extension and north south shortening of the area of 120,000 square
miles. The large region is noted for its deformity, with the source of this being a northeast
southwest counterclockwise compressive couple. The compressive couple was potentially
supported through drag as a result of the deep seated movement of rock material from the Pacific
region (Hill Dibblee, 1953). The interaction of the faults in the San Andreas region since the
Jurassic period have served to shape and contour the present geology of the land, while a study of
the paleontology of the region likewise requires such knowledge to effectively determine conditions
at any given point in time.
Tectonic Stress and the San Andreas FaultAccording to Townend and Zoback (2004) the San
Andreas Fault (SAF) region has been noted for its possession of stress orientations in addition to
the lack of a distinct heat flow anomaly at the trace of the fault. These findings indicate that there
are average shear tractions that are less than 20 25 MPa in the seismogenic upper crust. Oftentimes,
shear tractions measure approximately 5 times greater than in the SAF. Due to the presence of high

Selfishness In The World Is Too Much With Us
Conquer Selfishness
Addressing one of the world s worst problems, the poem The World Is Too Much With Us tells a
great warning. Even being written in 1802, William Wordsworth s poem still applies to our day
and age because of repeating trends. However dark or gloomy the poem got, Wordsworth showed
there is light in the end of the tunnel if we heed his warning and do something about it. Seeking to
change the norm of our tenancy to be selfish, the poet dared to say the world was out of tune with
nature and life itself. The people of the world need to recognize that nature is yelling out to us for
something greater than just average everyday living. Warning us to help nature, not trash it or our

The title The World Is Too Much With Us literally means the poet cannot handle the earth
anymore because how secular it has become. The world refers to the profane part of earth, and
too much with us just means we have been around it so long we do not even recognize how bad
we have become. Furthermore, the tone of the poem is very demanding of it s reader because of
how forced his communication is. Even confusing in some parts, the main message about being too
secular comes across directly in every line. Making sure his warning radiated, leaving an impact,
Wordsworth said he would rather change his religion to a pagan, so that way he could see
something divine going on. Though there are many parts of the poem where great thought has to be
put into it, the message is still clear as glass, and the title follows the theme

As farmworkers, my parents rights were ignored due to their economic and educational background, regrettably justice only exits for those with resources and knowledge of our legal system. As an educator, I have experienced the wrong in situations with school issues that could have had a legal approach but most often parents were uninformed. Aware of the tiring and backbreaking labor parents endured daily, I was not discouraged by the low attendance during the meetings as informing some was better than none. It was time consuming process and people asked where I got the energy, as creating letters for meetings, presentations, buying snacks, and assuring that information be beneficial for parents in attendance to implement. Having the desire, conviction, and bringing a sense of hope by informing parents of their rights and answering questions created an caring identity that brought admiration and respect. That admiration boosted my confidence and energy to move forward to do more, the view of hope and confidence on parents faces who are informed willing to stand up encourages to continue on that path. It will be important for them to realize how every task they complete connects to the goals or the business plan so there is a sense of value and something at stake. Directing will not end at this stage or even after the business is open, it will continue to be a necessary component that I must actively keep up with in order for this sporting goods store to succeed. Controlling goes hand in hand with directing as it will be important for me as a manager and owner to match the tasks delegated with the business plan and goals so that I can keep firm tabs on how we are progressing. This not only involves monitoring of progress but being vigilant so that if negative changes are occurring I can resolve the issue. As Richman (2006) more succinctly puts it, when it comes to controlling, in project management terms, it involves determining variances from the approved plan, then taking action to correct those variances. Through my fulfilling of these four important functions of management, I would be a permissive leader. For a small business like this sporting goods store that has a very small number of employees and only two other managers, it is necessary to allow everyone to have an equal hand in important decisions. While directing is a large part of my responsibility, I would still like to allow employees and managers a great deal of leeway concerning how they perform the tasks assigned and if those decisions on how to work are not productive, only then will ... • 6. The Medi A Negative Image Of Lawyers And Judges Essay The media often portrays a negative image of lawyers and judges. The way that lawyers and judges act in media can be described as selfish justice. The meaning of selfish justice refers to the lack of concern that lawyers and judges can have regarding the fairness of a trial and the consequences that a ruling can have on another human life. To clarify, in most crime television shows and even in reality, an innocent person can easily be found guilty in court if the district attorney has enough evidence to prove the defendant crime and if the defense lawyer is not able to counter the evidence. However, many district attorneys as represented on television do not exhibit honesty when it comes to presenting evidence. For example, many episodes showcase district attorneys put false witnesses in the stand to testify against the defendant. Their goal is to manipulate the jury to make them believe that there is enough evidence to procure a guilty verdict. Personal injury and medical malpractice cases are other similar situations. The majority of personal injury and medical malpractice cases get thrown out due to the lack of evidence to compensate the plaintiff (the litigating party) for damages. Thus, we can describe these situations as selfish justice. Lawyer, clients, witness, and judges are considered as selfish justice because the way in which they rule and deal with the lives of others demonstrates lack of consideration for human life and justice in the courtroom. Women that did work outside of the home were not taken seriously being seen as less intelligent than men and less able to cope with stress (Harrington 16). They were physically and intellectually inferior so women weren t usually allowed to face the outside world (Collins 4 5). Women were told if they worked, they would be taking jobs away from men that needed to support their families, but in reality most women who worked did so to support their families as well (Harrington 17 18). The unemployment rates surpassed men s 4.7% to 2.8% in the 1960s (Ward 101). It was thought that women had no real ambition to work (Harrington 16). Some appear at the forefront of the plot while others are presented alongside the storyline. A fitting example of a musical, is Jesus Christ Superstar composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber. This musical is perfect as it is entirely sung, has amazing rock musicand has themes and moral issues carefully intertwine throughout the plot. However, the largest moral issue or dilemma is how popularity can negatively and positively affect the main character Jesus. The song This Jesus must Die is an excellent example of the negative side of popularity, as it shows the Romans planning to kill Jesus before he surpasses them in power. The song begins with a moderate tempo of 72bpm in a time signature of 4/4. However, the use of semibreves and the organ slows the perceived tempo, giving the score a ghostly and ominous feel (seen in bars 1 13 and figure 1 and 2). This ominous feel is throughout these bars, as it represents the tension between Jesus s power and the Roman authority. This also clearly sets up the roman s character, as a dominating evil force. Diagnosing calcification In addition to routine blood and biochemical tests to check for underlying factors such as hypovitaminosis K, hypervitaminosis D or hypercalcemia, X rays (e.g. for the breasts) and CT scans (e.g. for the brain) may be used to detect calcifying deposits. The two types of breasts calcifications, macro and micro calcifications look like large randomly dispersed dots and white specks on the mammogram (breast X ray), respectively. Breast calcification tissue may be removed and biopsied in order to rule out more serious pathologies such as cancer. Arterial calcifications, for example in the coronary arteries, may be detected in vivo (in a living person) by methods such as electron beam computed tomography (EBCT) coronary arteriography, plain film X rays, fluoroscopy, intravascular ultrasound, MRI and CT scan. EBCT and fluoroscopy are the most commonly used techniques in the blood vessel investigations, while CT scans are very sensitive for the detection as well as the localization of intracranial calcifications. Argumentative Essay On Year Round School For decades, primary and secondary schools are stuck in tradition of having school for nine months and having several long breaks including a two month summer break. Several states in the United States and in Canada have been throwing around the idea of year round school. Some say that year round schooling is a good thing for the children and others say that the children need a break from school, but also have a higher chance of forgetting the material before they return to school the following year. With having year round schools, students will be able to obtain more information and perform better in the classroom. The children will learn more in the classroom along with learning outside on their own. In the article, Why does education stop in summer by editor Sylvia Stead, it states that a lot can be forgotten in the space of eight or 10 weeks . Given this information it causes schools to give a second thought to changing to year round school. Year round schools have been proven to help children learn better in the classroom and outside. This study offers an insight in some of the most noticeable benefits of the implementation of patches especially those relating to the enhancement of production levels in a production setting. An organization stands the chance of increasing its productivity levels at the individual level once automated patches are deployed. As a result, the entire productivity of the organization increases (King, 2007). Another advantage of automated patch deployment is the enhancement of the security levels within an organization. The risk of losing confidential information concerning clients, employees and other resources of an organization are on the rise across the globe. Such critical information could land in the wrong hands making it detrimental to an organization. Through the patches, it is possible to fix security problems within an organization s network. Attackers use these vulnerabilities for malicious purposes. An effective, automated patch deployment will be able to minimize the risk of experiencing security breaches in a timely manner (Godbout, 2007). The more distance they traveled, the more supplies they needed. From this, everything would not be cheap. The emigrants traveled on wagons that were pulled by animals. The wagons were mainly made out of wood that had a waterproof linen canvas covering it. Linda Alchin states, The costof a wagon ranged from $100 to $200 dollars... (Oregon Trail). This was expensive during the time period. They faced difficulty because the cost of the wagon was not worth it in some situations. The wagons had no suspension, resulting in people to walk instead of riding. This made it very uncomfortable for the emigrants. Also, on the rocky trail, many wagons tipped over, crushing people. The highly priced cost of travel made it difficult for the travelers to afford what was needed in order to survive the long and harsh trip. Also, the wagons were pulled by different kinds of animals such as horses, cows, mules and oxen. These animals were important to the emigrants as a survival tool, but they were not cheap. In the article Oregon Trail for Kids, the author states that the cost of the animal was about fifty dollars(Oregon Trail).Like the wagon cost, the animal was expensive. The Prospectors in Gold Rush also faced the same challenge. Instead of wagons and animals, they had to pay a certain amount of money to travel by boat. Although it was hard for them to pay money to travel, the emigrants were faced with more difficulty because they payed a higher amount. Popper believes science should progress through falsification and demarcation as a way to distinguish real scientific theories from pseudoscience. (A. (A. Popper) believes Science keeps moving forward and the only way to progress is to prove existing theories wrong, replacing them with new theories. In contrast verification of theories (attempting to prove a theory right) holds little water with Popper this is because proving a theory right has already been done. All a researcher must do to prove a theory right is duplicate a previous study or experiment and this according to (A. Popper) is not science and is not the advancement of scientific knowledge. Furthermore (A. Popper 4.0 The growth of Human Knowledge) Popper believes science is falsifiable and that their are no true facts. The scientific methoduses a deductive process. In 1919 Ital, England, France, and U.S came to an agreement that Germany had to pay for all the damage they did in the First World War. When Hitler heard of this he started organising an army, air force and started making allies, like Mussillon s Italy. Six months later Hitler breaks the treaty and starts another war. Germany withdrew from the Geneva disarmament conference, which meant they refused to support a British proposal that air bombing be banned. Dresden was also a very important rail centre for moving troops, concentration camp prisoners and war material but it would be no good if the allies destroyed the buildings and factories, because if there will be, still human s; they can rebuild it. The war factories of Dresden employed around 10,000 people, many of which lived in the very centre of the city. Not in Our Stars, But in Ourselves Whose fault? / Whose but his own? is a question that has been raised many times in human history (Milton 3.96). Many authors and poets have tackled the question of why humanity is constantly tested and tempted to sin, and, further, whether humanity has the free will to decide its own fate. After the Reformation of the Catholic church that created Protestantism, the idea of predestination was very popular. Protestant ideology claimed that only a few people were destined to be saved or damned by God, and that only some people will be saved. This created a general anxiety about faith and free will in Renaissance England, leading many to question who was at fault when human beings sin. Two of the most well known epic poems of the Renaissance era are The Faerie Queene by Edmund Spenser and Paradise Lost by John Milton. Both poems feature characters that face trials and tribulations, and how the respective poems deal with the trails reveals different ideas about fate, free will, and the idea of being tested. Both poems use temptation relation to female bodies and sexual desire, diverse reactions to falling and failure, and prophecy that contribute to two different ideas about free will and the role of God in the lives of his creations. Female seduction and sexual temptation are featured both in The Faerie Queene and Paradise Lost, but are represented in different ways. I also visited several democracies some struggling and some unrivaled in their success. Although there are cons of each system of government I have come to the conclusion that democracy is the only system of governance that would fit best with the United States of America and set it up for success in the future. Democracyis defined as a governmentby the people; a form of government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised directly by them or by their elected agents under a free electoral system. 1 The United States of America is meant to be ruled by many instead of a select few. A broad participation in government now more than ever is key in order to get through these tough times and come out a stronger more resilient country. A democracy will not be as easy or as clean cut as a autocracybut it will be the right thing to do for the country s success in the long run, socially, economically and to stay the strong world power that we are. In democracy the right decisions may not be made all the time. But there tends to be a happy medium that makes sure everyone gets a little bit of what they wanted in a democracy. Understanding the provenance of the limestone used in the plasters of Templo Mayor, and clarifying whether there were changes over time in the outcrops exploited, could therefore help in better understanding the relationship between the Mexicas and their neighbours in Central Mexico and verifying what the historical sources suggest. • 43. The Big Pine, Garlock, And San Andreas Fault The three faults being considered are thought to have influenced the character of some 120,000 square miles. The Big Pine, Garlock, and San Andreas faults are all mutually active, deep, long, and steep and noted as being conjugate shears. In concert, the faults have defined a primary strain pattern of relative east west extension and north south shortening of the area of 120,000 square miles. The large region is noted for its deformity, with the source of this being a northeast southwest counterclockwise compressive couple. The compressive couple was potentially supported through drag as a result of the deep seated movement of rock material from the Pacific region (Hill Dibblee, 1953). The interaction of the faults in the San Andreas region since the Jurassic period have served to shape and contour the present geology of the land, while a study of the paleontology of the region likewise requires such knowledge to effectively determine conditions at any given point in time. Tectonic Stress and the San Andreas FaultAccording to Townend and Zoback (2004) the San Andreas Fault (SAF) region has been noted for its possession of stress orientations in addition to the lack of a distinct heat flow anomaly at the trace of the fault. These findings indicate that there are average shear tractions that are less than 20 25 MPa in the seismogenic upper crust. Oftentimes, shear tractions measure approximately 5 times greater than in the SAF. Due to the presence of high ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The world refers to the profane part of earth, and too much with us just means we have been around it so long we do not even recognize how bad we have become. Furthermore, the tone of the poem is very demanding of it s reader because of how forced his communication is.
