Six Thinking Hats
Six thinking hats
Introduction
Six Thinking Hats is a critical and creative thinking training course from Edward de Bono that helps
individuals and organizations throughout the world become more effective, innovative thinkers.
Six Thinking Hats is a flexible and easy to use thinking process that leads to amazing results with
innovative thinking, improved communication, and reduced meeting time.
In traditional thinking we constantly find ourselves in conflict. Each side seeks to criticize the
other point of view. The Six Thinking Hatsmethod, however, encourages Parallel Thinking, where
everyone explores all sides of an issue at the same time.
In parallel thinking, confrontation is replaced by a cooperative exploration of the subject. It ... Show

The Importance Of A Professional Workforce Working For...
Every child deserves the best possible start in life and the support that enables them to fulfil
their potential (DfE, 2014). INTRODUCTION In order to ensure that all children receive the
right foundation for good future progress (DfE 2014 p.5), current Government policy holds
equality and individuality at its core. The EYFS emphasises the need for a professional
workforce working in partnership with parents and providing a focus on positive relationships,
enabled environments and a unique child who is learning constantly (Early Education 2012). As
one of the prime areas of the EYFS, Communication and Language forms the basis for successful
learning (Dfe 2012 p.8) . In working with babies, we aim to provide a rich language... Show more

Just as a mother would, practitioners must show sensitivity to baby s communication signals in
order to achieve what Bowlby calls desirable: a child who is developing a limited measure of self
reliance as opposed to a child who has not received recognition of their needs who may present as
unhappy or anxious or difficult (Bowlby, 1988, p.47). Sensitive attachments are both evidence of
and the basis for good communication skills. In the earliest stages, communication is simply
expressed through expression or emotion. After this initial stage, Bowlby suggests that although we
may see the emergence of verbal communication in secure relationships, much of our
communication remains non verbal. As such the sensitive acknowledgement of these early skills is
essential in achieving good long term outcomes (Bowlby, 1988, p.120) In practice, we do this by....

I Ready For A Leader
Am I ready to be a Leader?
To me this topic is like double edge sword because I am currently in a couple of leadership roles.
My hope would be that, yes, I am ready. What I have learned in my different roles and what the
articles describe; there are different categories related to leadership. There are managers and there
are leaders.
There are different positions that are just managerial, some that require you to be a manager and
a leader and some that are only leader positions. I think the higher up the ladder in a company or
corporation you go the more likely you are to be in the leader role. I think front line or middle
management positions are usually a manager/leader combination.
I feel that my skills are stronger in management and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A leader is able to adapt and embrace change. They walk the talk, they have a vision that others
want to help achieve. Individuals have the desire to be better when they work with a good leader.
I believe that leadership is different depending on what the situation is. Being in a leadership
position with my church and on a community council means I work with an organizations of
volunteers . Everyone is usually willing to perform different duties or assignments, but if they don
t take it seriously and they lack commitment, you can t do a disciplinary action or fire them. You
have to be ready to pick up any slack and complete the assignments. It is still important to have a
vision and lead you team to achieve what that vision is. You need to utilize the strength of each
member and to become a strong team.
As leader in a work environment you have the responsibility to make sure that all employees are
meeting or exceeding their job requirements. You should be developing and helping each employee
to grow, advance and feel valued. You have actions plans to help improve performance and hold
them accountable for their actions.
As a leader for a financial institution; we ve had a couple of guest speakers that talked about
emotional intelligence so I really appreciated the article and the importance that it put on those
components. For me it was very helpful as I thought about Am I ready to be a Leader to do a self
evaluation using these five areas.

The Cardiovascular System Responses During Submaximal...
INTRODUCTION
Information on cardiovascular differences between the sexes is necessary for allied health
professionals to best adapt rehabilitation exercises for the patients with cardiovascular diseases
(CVD). The cardiovascular system has to adjust in response to metabolic demands of working
muscles during exercise. Gender related differences on how the body meets the increased demands
while still maintaining homeostatic arterial blood pressure has been widely researched (CITE).
There is some support that vaso regulation differences are due to female sex hormones (estrogen,
in particular estradiol), and less sympathetic nervous system influence when compared to males
(CITE). Additionally, body composition (higher muscle mass in males) and substrate utilisation
(more lipid substrate utilisation in females) have been found to have significant effects on the
cardiovascular system responses during submaximal exercise (CITE). Upper body exercise has
been found to create more stress on the cardiovascular system compared to lower body exercise
(CITE). The primary causes of death in the Australian population are directly or indirectly related
to cardiovascular diseases (CVD) (CITE). Although, men are at greater risk for developing CVD,
women have been found to have a higher morbidity rate post surgery (CITE). Additionally, the
presentation of symptoms for female differs to that of their male counterparts (CITE). Thus, further
investigation to better understand the differences

The Walking Dead Themes

anger, drama, pain, sadness or even cause you a sense of distress? The Walking Dead is the
perfect show to make you think about how people act in different situations in life and shows us
what type of people these circumstances can create. The show is based on a post apocalyptic time
where the existence of humanity is near its end. The Walking Deadrepresents themes of fear,

The Walking Dead represents fear, betrayal, sacrifice, hope, leadership and, the conflict between
good and bad. Fear, the main theme of the show, followed by sacrifice is portrayed in every
episode where everyone fears where are they going to end the next day, where they find
themselves questioning if that is their last day, scared of losing a loved one and of course, the
fear of being eaten by walkers . Sacrifice, portrayed at its highest, on life or death situations
where every character feels torn between two options that may affect someone in one way or
another, as well when someone will die for the safety of others. Betrayal, one of the most
repetitive themes in the show that represents what will a person do to save himself/herself in a
life or death situation, and in this case, each character try to build up alliances that at the end,
they betray their own, which could lead to someone dying or getting hurt, depending on the
situation. Leadership and hope can be put together since in the show, the main thing that a leader
should do is give his/her followers hope that everything can get better, and the show portrays it
every time Rick Grimes try to take matters on his hands for his group, considered as his family,
hope as well, as the birth of Rick s daughter, brought a more hopeful future for the survivors. The
walking dead represents each of these themes in a strong way, where humanity is at its lowest and
how human beings see themselves obligated to make decisions never thought to do in their

Harry Potter Myths
Mythology is an elusive connection to the past. Some stories are warped over time, fairy tales
have been retold for hundreds of years. Classic monsters, like werewolves, are particularly subject
to change as each author put their own spin on the legends. In the end, the result is a complex
history with multiple contradictions. The Harry Potter books incorporate aspects of mythologybut
specifically attempt to adapt these classic creatures to modern day as well as explain the science
behind the myth. Harry Potter has multiple characters that are werewolves. Not only does the story
hint at the complex history of this creature, the author puts a political spin on her werewolves. But

Avianca Flight 052 Case Study
Culture in the Cockpit
History of Avianca Flight 052 On January 25th, 1990, Avianca Flight 052, a Boeing 707, departed
BogotГЎ, Colombia, South America, enroute to JFK International Airport, New York, after making
a scheduled intermediate stop in Medellin, Colombia, South America (FAA, 2017). The flight
departed Medellin at 1508 EST with 149 passengers and 9 crewmembers on board (Krause, 2003).
Due to weather conditions at JFK there were numerous flight delays for inbound aircraft, and
Avianca Flight 052 was given three separate holding instructions while enroute to JFK (Krause,
2003). Shortly after 2133 EST, Avianca Flight 052 crashed in a wooded area near Cove Neck,
Long Island, New York, as a result of fuel starvation while returning for a second approach to
landing at JFK (NTSB, 1991). The captain of Flight 052 had over 16,000 hours of flight time,
with more than 1,500 hours in the 707 (Krause, 2003). The first officer had substantially less
experience with about 1,800 hours of total flight time, and only 64 hours in the 707 (Krause,
2003). The second officer, or flight engineer, had over 10,000 hours total flight time, and more
than 3,000 of that was in the 707 (Krause, 2003). All three crewmembers were citizens of the
Republic of Colombia, and the captain was 52 years old, the first officer was 28, and the second
officer was 45 years old (NTSB, 1991). Just prior to the crash the actual weather at JFK was poor.

An Extreme Sense Of Nationalism In The United States
Being born into a country creates a sense of connection between person and land. Most often people
tend to feel this as pride in their country and that s defined as being patriotic but what if patriotism
goes further? This extreme sense of patriotism exists and is known as nationalism. Nationalism is
known to cloud the thoughts of many people, including high ranked country officials. Such clouded
judgements occurs, that many argue it covers the thoughts of nationalist country officials so often
that it can even create war. Is it true that War has a hunger for nationalism? Although many people
argue that nationalism cannot be the cause of international conflicts, nationalism can and is the
cause of many international conflicts because nationalism causes sense of pride and greed that, if
broken, could have prevented the start of wars, nationalism also builds up to resentment of other
countries that allows war to seem like the only answer and although other factors may set the idea
of a conflict, nationalism fuels it further into complete war. Nationalism is defined as an extreme
patriotic feeling marked by a feeling of superiority over other countries but in terms of how
nationalism makes someone act, that can be answered in two simple words: Greedy and prideful....

Rocks of Ages by Stephen Jay Gould
Rocks of Ages is Stephen Jay Gould s commentary on the conflict between secular scientists and
religious believers who reject scientific theory when in it is disagreement with religious teachings
about nature and origin of the natural world. Certain aspects of his argument hold true, but the
application is impossible and still gives one magisteria a dominance over the other. While it is an
accurate account of historical disagreements and critical views of well known people, his
argument is flawed by human nature. He repeatedly contradicts himself and maintains a bias in
favor of scientific theory. Gould begins the extended essay by explaining the purpose of the novel.
The preamble is a summary of the present war that exists only in people s minds and social
practices. He believes that scienceand religioncannot be unified or synthesized, but they should not
experience conflict, because science is to define the natural world, and religion the moral aspect.
Gould argues that if each realm is separate, then they should not encounter arguments. He calls this
the principle of Non Overlapping Magisterium or NOMA. The idea is that the fullness of
humanity can only be achieved when science and religion are each allowed to contribute in areas
for which that particular mode of thinking is most appropriate, and restricted from interfering in
domains for which it is not. His largest supporting illustration is given by comparison to the also
non overlapping domain of art. Most

Micro Controller At Mega
Micro Controller AT Mega 328 In the area of control and automation, the need for some processing
unit became indispensable in a wide variety of applications. Among these, microcontrollers stand as
a lower cost alternative, satisfactory reliability, simplicity, reduced consumption energy, however,
with limited memory capacity and processing.
A microcontroller contains a processor, memory access and peripheral input / output. It is a
microprocessor that can be programmed for specific functions, in contrast to other general
purpose microprocessors (such as those used in PCs). Basically, the use of a microcontroller is in
the processing of data from one of your peripherals, with the set of output data. For example, send
data via serial port or generate a reaction in system as an LED light.
The architecture of a microcontroller generally consists of a core processing, bus and Peripherals:
Processing core consists of the data processor (calculations, flow control program, etc.) and
administration of peripherals.
Bus is divided into data and address, is on the lines of communication between the processor and
peripherals.
Peripherals characterize the set of features available by the microcontroller and are controlled by
the processor. For example, memory, serial port, parallel port and AD converter.
Microcontrollers are typically used in automation and control products and peripherals, such as
control systems of automotive engines, remote controls, machines, etc.

Case Study Of Lotte Lacto King
Introduction to the Study
The purpose of this study is to understand the factors that led to the declining of a brand which
was once doing very good. The study also aims to measure the brand equity of the chosen brand
and then to do a segmentation and positioning analysis of the brand. Finally, the study aims to
recommend an STP strategy for the brand. The brand that I have chosen for the study is Lotte Lacto
King.
To achieve the purpose, a Focus Group Discussion was conducted which helped in identifying
various variables. Using these variables, a questionnaire was developed to understand the
perception of the consumers about the brand. A diverse group of approximately 100 consumers was
chosen to get the response. The next step involved running a factor analysis on the data collected
and arriving at core factors. The Brand Equity was measured next and a STP strategy is
recommended.
The Brand under consideration, reasons for choosing the Brand
The brand chosen to conduct the study is Lotto Lacto King. The parent company for the product
is Lotte Corporation India. The tagline for the product is So tasty, you just can t stop eating it . It

This can be attributed to severe competition and the product s lack of innovation and
advertisements. All the competitors came out with various variants of their product and were

The distribution and reach is not extensive as compared to its competitors. The company banked
on its brand name to attract sales but slowly this strategy started to fail and its sales started to drop.
Currently, the product has lost visibility from many stores and is not available

Using economic theory and information gathered from prior academic research, this paper will
address how technological changes have affected the demand for skilled and unskilled workers.
There has been a long debate throughout various forms of literature related to this topic over
whether technology is destroying or creating jobs. Taking economic theory into consideration, I
have come to the hypothesis that technological changes have shifted the demand for both skilled
and unskilled workers; causing a downward shift in demand for low/unskilled workers and causing
an upward shift in the demand for skilled workers. Based on substitution and scale effects,
technological change creates shifts in labor demand. Because innovation and automation reduces
the cost of capital, this also results in substitution and scale effects.
In this paper, I will first review three sources of economic research related to my topic. I will
summarize their research question, methods and findings. I will then summarize my findings and
present some future points to consider. After assessing the various information gathered from prior
academic research, I have come to the conclusion that overall skill biased technological change
does exist and does in fact affect the demand for skilled and unskilled workers.

Nurse Educator
Overall the nurse educator can have a huge impact on decreasing LV. Nurse educators can provide a
safe learning environment that challenge and prepare students for their transition into their new
role as a nurse (Thomas, Bertram, Allen, 2012). Through the clinical practice environment it
provides the opportunity for students to practice learned skills and apply this knowledge when the
student begins their practice as a nursein the workplace.
Nurse Managers (NM) are also an important component of decreasing LV in the workplace. It is
important that leadership refuse to tolerate LV (Major, Abderrahman, Alvarez, Sweeney, 2013).
The NM needs to address any incidences of LV immediately. It is suggested the NM engage the
employees in a crucial ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The NM needs to bring it out in the open so it can be discussed and addressed (Koch, 2012).
Engage the staff by providing education on LV and how to stop it. Use the team approach to set
the expectations for interactions and hold staff accountable on their performance appraisals. Coach
the staff on the necessary skills such as cognitive rehearsal to stop LV. In cognitive rehearsal the
person who is on the receiving end of LV uses this technique to stop, stay calm, and think about
what was said and not personalize the behavior. Once the person has stopped and thought through
what was said the nurse can then respond calmly to help defuse the situation. Addressing the
behavior when it happens has a bigger impact on stopping the behavior (Griffin Clark, 2014).
For the individual almost all the articles write about the importance of educating nursing staff about
LV. Nurses should learn to recognize it and confront it. Role model acceptable behavior and be the

other co workers as this can perpetuate the problem. Document the incidences of LV but keep
emotions out of the documentation. Schedule a meeting with the supervisor and file a formal

Child Sexual Abuse And The Community
Mezzo Perspective
According to Simmons University, Mezzo Social Work involves working with small to medium
sized groups or organizations such as schools, community service organizations, or businesses to
promote cultural or institutional change (Social Workers, 2016). In other words, it is working with
the community. Child Sexual Abuseimpacts the community in several ways, such as through fear,
confusion, as well as economically. Though the abuse might only physically affect one person, it
could still greatly impact everyone else.
The first way that Child Sexual Abuse affects the community is through fear. Sometimes families in
communities have an ideal idea about their identity and if something, such as Child Sexual Abuse

Hester Prynne And Mary In The Scarlet Letter
The character of Hester Prynne was written as a modern day image of the Virgin Mary. There are
many similarities and things that happen that support this statement. Nathaniel Hawthorne
describes Hester as a beautiful woman which is how Mary is described in the Bible. The young
woman, perfect elegance on a large scale. (Hawthorne 46).The Major difference between these
Hester and Mary is that Hester s adultery is being compared to virgin purity and how the public
viewed these two characters. Despite the brutal treatment toward Hester throughout the novel, such

Defense Of Insanity
The Butler Committee recommended that proof of severe mental disorder should be sufficient to
negate responsibility. This would create a presumption of no criminal liability where this is proof
of a mental disorder. However, this assumes that a lack of criminal responsibility simply because of
a mental dysfunction is evident, rather than establishing a standard of criminal responsibility. This
questions the application of insanityto all crimes rather than those involving mens rea only.
Another criticism of the defence of insanity is that at a trial involving a plea of insanity there will
be conflicting medical evidence given by both the prosecution and the defence, however the final
decision of whether the D is legally insane or not is

Genre, Plot, And Theme Of This Play
1)Discuss the genre, plot, and theme of this play.
The genre is a musical comedy. The rock music of the eighties moves the play through the story
that is centered in the Bourbon Room bar in Los Angeles. Most of the characters in the play
used to be in a rock band, currently are in a rock band or are trying hard to get into a rock band.
The girls who wanted or currently want to make in movies are bar waitresses and strippers. Big
business wants to close down the strip and develop a new business district. The classic rock hits
and the main love interest moves the story toward a happy and energetic ending.
2)Did you enjoy the production? Why or why not?
I enjoy comedies and I love many of the songs that were in the play so I could not help but laugh
and sing along at times. The production was very good overall. I was uncomfortable with the
strippers. The very suggestive dances and constant presence of the outfits were not necessary for
the overall story. The females playing the strippers did a good job and did deliver in lines and
lyrics. The actors did a very convincing job. The vocals were strong and the live rock band gave
the show a punch. The small stage and limited seating at the Virginia Samford Theatrewere
strengths. The actors were close and you could see every expression. The size of the theatre helps
pull you into the play.

Causes Of The Malayan Emergency
The Malayan Emergency was a guerrilla war fought in pre and post independence Federation of
Malaya. The main antagonists were the Common Wealth Armed forces on one side and the
Malayan National Liberation Army, and the military arm of the Malayan Communist Party on the
other side. The Common Wealth Forces armed the communist party during their warwith the
Japanese Army in the Second World War. The Malayan Emergency
was originally the colonial
government s term for the conflict. The rubber plantation and tin mining industries pushed for the
use of the term emergency since their losses would not have been covered by the insurances if they
had been termed a war.
During the Malayan Emergency, both the opposition and the Common Wealth Forces had mass
casualties and deaths. In the Malaya Emergency, the Common Wealth Forces applied so many
strategies to defeat their enemies unlike in other wars. Consequently, the applied principles and the
strategies during the war had been plundered by the Western countries. At first, the Common Wealth
Forces used the common ways of dealing the situations. They swept the large areas, captured and
detained in large numbers and, then punished large groups of people. Despite, they could not
achieve so much out of their first move. The outcome of their move led to increase in the insurgent
recruitment by alienating many civilians. The Common Wealth Forces were downcast by the

Comparing The Parthenon Of Ancient Greece And Rome
Last of all, both of these edifices directly affect the responsibilities of the citizens and what makes
the Greek or Roman. With the massive amount of wealth and power gained by the Athenians the
statement of the Parthenon is a sort of claim of superiority over all other nations and enforces a sort
of national pride on Athenian power. It is an example of their efficiency as a fighting machine. The
reliefs serve as metaphors of triumph over the irrational barbarians and order over chaos that
defines the mindset of Athenian society. Similarly, the Ara Pacis is also a statement of dominance
over an irrational society but the Romans sought to further this by claiming they were saviors, not

Joshua By Ellen G. White Analysis
Moses was dead. The Israelites had no leader and they began to wonder what was going to
happen to them. They shouldn t have been fearful; God was taking care of them. Joshua, who had
been the prime minister fro Moses, had been handpicked by God to fulfill the leadership position.
As the story says, Joshua had been chosen by Godto lead the Israelites. He had shown wisdom and
discernment in many situations and he understood the responsibility for leading the people. He
was well qualified for the position! Joshua was well qualified for this position, because he had
been faithful before in small menial tasks that had been given to him. He had been faithful to God
in the little things and now because of the faithfulness God was giving to him this huge
responsibility. Reading this made me think about my own life. Would I be found faithful before
God in the little things in life? And would I be able to take on bigger responsibilities? Ellen G.

I wonder what he was feeling as he marched back into the land, which he had before. Was he

to take care of him and the Israelites? On of the first battles they fought was the Battle of Jericho
and Joshua had to pray fervently for God to help him and the people with it. God heard and
answered their prayer and delivered the people of Jericho into their hands. After this, Joshua had
the people take a stand. Would they serve God or Baal? Who was going to be their God and who
was going to have their heart s affections? This call is still resounding down through the ages to
now. What side are you going to choose? Are you going to serve God or make your own god? The
choice is yours to decide. The choice is mine. I pray that the answer will come back with a
resounding sound saying, The Lord our God will we serve and His voice will we

The American Automobile And The Foreign Car Manufacturers
What is business ethics? It is formally defined as the critical, structured examination of how people
institutions should behave in the world of commerce. Specifically, it examines self interest and
profits, versus moral values and ethics. The Ford Pinto was a new stylish car, which gave Ford an
ultimatum.
Save money or save lives. In this paper I will explain the ethical problems with the Ford Pinto and
why it s imperative for corporations to incorporate ethics into their companies.
The American automobile and the foreign car manufacturers were battling in 1960 70s attempting
to create a more efficient car at bargain prices. Another problem that was haunting the industry
was the gas consumption, which, in the period of the Arab oil embargo in 1970s, became a really
critical issue. The survival for the American automobile industry was in designing and building of
subcompact cars, which would be affordable for masses, consuming as less gas as possible. Such
car for the Ford Motor Company became Ford Pinto that was presented to public in September of
1970.
Since competition between domestic automobile manufacturers was very intense, the Ford Motors
Company decided to build Ford Pinto in only 25 month versus normal 43 months. The General
Manager of Ford Pinto project, Lee Iacocca, was so obsessed with the idea of creating an
affordable car and winning the market, that he specifically set a certain goal for Ford Pinto
development team. The goal was that the car should

Harry Potter Music Analysis
In Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, John Williams employs diegetic music by having the
characters in the film sing a song that combines with the background music. The song Double
Trouble is sung by the school choir while the film score for the movie that reflects mysteriousness
and eeriness plays. The mood in the air is almost a sense of fear and paranoia as the students in
schooldon t feel safe after news broke of a prison breakout. The musicsupports that sense of fear as
the lyrics in the film along with the rest of the music alludes to the fact that trouble is near.

2d. In Harry Potter and the Philosopher s Stone, John Williams creates the mood of leitmotif by
consistently playing the same music themes based on the scene. Leitmotif is defined by the
theme in the music that is associated with certain scenes, moods, or people. For an example,
whenever the movie tries to create a feeling of sadness felt by Harry s loneliness after having
lost his parents, there is sad music playing in the background that plays softly. By consistently
having this music played whenever Harry is feeling down, we begin to associate the connection
between the two. Another specific scene where the same sad theme is played in the background,
is when Harry looks into the mirror where he sees his parents. John Williams does this for all sorts
of moods whether it be happiness, sadness, or excitement as well as having music for specific
characters and settings.
2e. In Harry Potter and the Philosopher s Stone, John Williams creates the mood of foreshadowing
in the scenes by having the music played leading up to a major event. For an example during the
scene where the characters are chased by a troll monster, there is frightening music being played.
We have not yet actually seen the monster, but rather can only hear his footsteps at this point.
Having the music in the background however, foreshadows the eventual doom that the characters
will face.

William O Connell Bradley (1847 1914) was the 32nd Governor of Kentucky and a U.S. senator.
The first Republican to serve as governor of the state, he became known as the father of the
Republican Party in Kentucky. After a well received speech seconding the presidential nomination
of Ulysses S. Grant at the 1880 Republican National Convention, he was nominated for governor in
1887. He lost the general election that year, but won in 1895, capitalizing on divisions in the
Democratic Partyover the issue of free silver. His term was marked by political struggles and
violence. He advanced the status of black citizens, but was unable to enact much of his reform
agenda over a hostile Democratic majority. He was elected by the state legislature to the U.S.
Senate in 1907, when voting was deadlocked and the Democratic candidate, outgoing Governor J.
C. W. Beckham, refused to withdraw in favor of a compromise candidate. Bradley s opposition to...

Examples Of The Mistakes Of Entrepreneurs
Three Big Scaling Mistakes that Entrepreneurs Make
Every entrepreneur starts their business with a dream. Usually, that dream involves getting bigger,
better, and making more money. It s a good dream.
The problem is that growing your business can be tricky. If you don t do it properly, you can hurt,
or even destroy, your business. All too often beginning entrepreneurs scale prematurely, hire the
wrong people, and don t create the right systems and processes. You wantto grow your business to
match your dream, but if you make these three mistakes (or any one of them) you may see your
dream vanish before your eyes.

Hire thoughtfully and train thoroughly. Then, and this is the hard part, you need to step back and
let them do it. Micromanaging your employees is counterproductive and a waste of your time and
resources. It also leads to unhappy employees and turnover.
Marketing Just because you understand your business better than anyone doesn t mean that you
know how to market it properly. All too often entrepreneurs try to do too much themselves.
Marketing specialists understand your local market, your competition, and if they re any good,
they ll get to know your business almost as well as you know it yourself. Rather than wasting
money trying to do it yourself, invest in a pro and watch your business grow.
Accounting and Taxes Just like marketing, many entrepreneurs think they have the smarts to
handle their own accounting and taxes. Even if you have a great mind for numbers, as a business
owner, you don t have the time to research all the applicable tax laws that can affect your
business. Hire a CPA and develop a tax strategy from the beginning to help maximize your profits

Florence Kelley s Speech On Child Labor Rights
On July 22, 1905, Florence Kelley, motivated by the plight of these young women and children,
affected drastically by the lack of child labor laws, delivered a speech to the National American
Women s Suffrage Association in Philadelphia. Kelley s strategies, including word choice and
tone, persuade her audience to join forces to help free the American children from toil.
Beginning her speech, Kelley applies her credibility by placing statistics regarding the
controversy of child labor laws, revealing that she is informed about this topic. Her credibility
has a great connection to her purpose, she claims that the number of working girls doubled from
census to census and girls from twelve to twenty years are working when they should not have
to. Kelley then manifests her concern over these working girls by explaining that, tonight, while
everybody else is snoozing away in bed, these several thousand little girls will be working in
textile mills, (16 17). These words make her audience feel pity concerning those young girls and
are a great reason to act against the unfair laws and regulations that violate both their human and
women s rights, especially when they aren t even getting paid fairly. By appealing to their
emotion Florence Kelley wishes to push the women to act on her proposal of joining together
and helping the poor young girls of their nation. Kelley continues to approach and influence the
women s sentiments and hopefully their actions by including her scandalized argument that in
Georgia there is no restriction whatever! A girl of six or seven years, just tall enough to reach the
bobbins, may work eleven hours by day or by night, (29 31). She decides to include the bobbins
of sewing machines in factories to illustrate how short and how young they are to be working in
dangerous factories where their rights are ignored, girls at that age should worry more about going
to school instead of sacrificing themselves to bring money for bread to their homes. One would
understand that many families are living through poverty due to the economy being at a very
depressing state and they need the most they can do to increase their financial position to survive in
their society, then again, girls should be

Lord Call Samuel Research Paper
Throughout the course of the Bible, God has called countless to people to follow His plan for
them. Although some remain hesitant at first, it is seemingly impossible to altogether reject God s
calling. There are many examples of this in both the Bible and the world today. Samuel was called
to serve as prophet, Marywas called to serve as the Mother of God, and my grandfather was called
to serve as a deacon in the Catholic Church. God calls everyone to fulfill their vocation, but it takes
people different amounts of time to finally respond to that calling.
The Lord called Samuel to be the first of Israel s great prophets at time when much of Israel was
in a state of disunity. As the people called for a king to control the land, Samuel would serve as
the last of the Judges and a link between God and His people. Samuel s mother, Hannah, was
originally declared barren, but was granted a son after praying to God begging for a child.
Hannah promised God that if she was given a child that the baby would serve the Lord in his life.
Thus, Hannah gave Samuel to a priest named Eli (Bible).

Adrienne Rich Education Rich Analysis
Poet Adrienne Rich gave an inspiring speech during a convocation at Douglass College in 1977.
Even though this was quite a few decades ago, her words are still relevant today. Education is still

How Is Paradiso Created By Dantes Inferno
Why do most readers tend to read only Inferno? In the 1300s, Dante Alighieri wrote three parts to
the epic poem, The Divine Comedy, an imaginary story about himself. Dante is given a tour of the
three different sections of Heaven: Inferno, Purgatorio, and Paradiso. Alighieri puts Dante through
innumerable experiences that change him as The Divine Comedyprogresses. Before Dante s journey
through Inferno, he realizes his current way of life is not on the true path . In other words, Dante
is not living life the way he should purely and without sinning. Alighieri compares this feeling to
being alone in a dark wood; as he says in line three of Canto I. When Virgilcalls to Charon to take
them to the circles of hell, Dante passes out because he is overwhelmed and frightened. This event
shows that he is shocked and not prepared for the things he is about to go through. The second
circle is filled with the lustful souls. These souls are punished by being constantly blown by wind,
preventing them from finding tranquility. Expectantly, Dante feels sympathy towards these souls,
because they are damned because of their love. In the fifth circle, Dante recognizes someone from
his life whom he despises, and is glad... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Once again, Paradiso is split into spheres, as explained by Beatrice. In Canto II, Dante says,
...turn back and make your way to your own coast. / Do not commit yourself to the main deep,
/ for, losing me, all may perhaps be lost. In these lines, he is warning the reader to stop reading,
because human reasoning cannot understand the concepts and ideas expressed in Paradiso. This

The Effects Of Legalization Of Drugs On The Economy
The legalization of drugs is a very controversial social topic for discussion, one that has taken the
media by storm over the last couple of years. Everyone has opinion on this topic and they range
from very pro to very anti. As legalization slowly becomes a reality and is seen around the world,
questions begin to emerge of the effects that this legalization will have on crime, society, and the
economy. With the emergence of the legalization of drugs there have been positive and negative
effects happening nationally and globally, as this trend continues it will be sure to change and
shape society in many different ways.
In the past two years we have seen national changes with the implementation of legalized marijuana
for non medical use ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Marijuana that is sold for non medical use requires a regular sales tax, additional state and excise
taxes, and possibly an additional local tax (Durkin, 2014). In Colorado, they raked in over $11.3
million in tax revenue from the sales of marijuana in the first 4 months of legalization (Durkin,
2014). The state will have huge benefits from the tax revenue collected and once they have
reached $40 million they have plans to use the money for public school construction (Durkin,
2014). With the legalization of marijuana in Colorado and attempting to meet the demand, new
business ventures have emerged leading to more jobs (Durkin, 2014). Legalization would
require some costs to regulate however, the cost currently to regulate tobacco and alcohol are
far less than what is being spent to enforce the control on illegal drugs (Caulkins et al., 2014).
Marijuana accounts for a large part of drug arrests and a large amount of money goes toward
those arrests leading legalization to have a significant savings (Caulkins et al., 2014). Illicit drug
market brings in a staggering $500 billion a year, one of the top five largest industries worldwide

The Legalization Of Marijuana Legalization Essay
Abraham Lincoln spoke of prohibition as an attempt to control a man s appetite by legislation and
makes a crime out of things that are not crimes (Lincoln). The prohibition and eventual repeal of the
prohibition of alcohol taught the United States a valuable lesson about making essentially non
harmful entities illegal. Yet, even today the current prohibition on marijuana reforms has put the
United States in a similar situation. Marijuana is the most widely used illicit drugin the United
States. According to the National Survey on Drug Use and Health, 95 million Americans age 12
and older have tried pot at least once, and three out of every four illicit drug users reported using
marijuana within the previous 30 days (ONDCP). The decriminalization and eventually
legalization for the recreational use of marijuana will bring forth benefits in all aspects of life in
the United States. Many oppose the idea of marijuana legalization, but there is strong evidence to
support the endless benefits its of legalization. 1. For starters, cannabisis proven to not be a life
threatening drug. 2. Furthermore, legalization will result in enormous societal benefits such as tax
benefits, decreased criminal behavior, and the creation of new jobs and businesses. 3. Ultimately,
the legalization of marijuana will bring forth safeguards and regulations to help insure the safe use
and regulation of the product.
Cannabis is not only a modern day drug, but has been used in American culture

Creating A Collaborative Process Among Students
INTRODUCTION
Focus and main aims of the research
The main focus is to create a collaborative process among the students to encourage them in
learning and interacting with others.
Keep them enthusiastic about learning, make them energetic. Give a shape to their daily work that
they can see the result of their own work.
Create a healthy and joyful environment where they can enjoy and make themselves free.
It is to understand the changes in the behavior of students, how they are reacting in different
situations, how they are blending with the class and other students.
Necessity of this research
Make a clear and strong educational vision where learning has a special purpose; create a strong
setup which will give space for the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Interest of students on different categories like book, games, and toys must be recorded. Their
approach with different elements must be taken care of.
Reading and writing quality in the initial stages and changes in the quality must be noted and
analyzed (Cameron, 2009).
A description of the scenario on which the research was made
This is a place with standard facilities and with good working conditions. The students are here
of many ages. The research tries to cover a class 12 13 year s students. The research has taken
care of the issues like their life outside the school impact of newspapers and television in their life.
It is also noted how the television, magazines effect on their choices (Toloie Eshlaghy et al. 2011).
RESEARCH APPROACH
The approach has been maintained according to the scenario. The ongoing research was done
without letting the students know about it because at this age kids tend to be sensitive. They do
not like any eyes observing them critically. This was taken into mind while doing the research.
Most of the students were from good background, there was no one from deprived background. So,
the research was made taking that into mind. As family matters make marks into mind at this age
thus the information on their life outside school was also noted (Saunders et al. 2008).
Principles of research
The students were not treated like objects in this research. Their development and help was the first

Who Is Peter The Great Leader
One of Russia s Greatest Leaders: Peter the Great
The world is chaotic by nature. For this reason, both men and women alike have stepped forward
to lead their people. As such, these people have been gifted with valor and courage to take their
countries into ever lasting prosperity. An example of this kind of leader would be the grand
emperor of Russia, Peter the Great (1672 1725). Peter the Great is a man who put his country
before himself. As a matter of fact, Peter died saving one of his servants who fell overboard on
one of his many expeditions. One will have to wonder what kind of man had this much energy to
revolutionize their countries. In accordance, one will have to study the personal ... Show more

A bitter struggle soon advanced for the throne between the two families, the Miloslavskys and
the Naryshkins. The Naryshkins won. With the support by the patriarch of the Russian
Orthodox Church, a majority in the Boyar Duma (Russia s council of nobles), and a gathering
of the gentry (untitled landowners), the nine year old Peter was proclaimed tsar in April of
1682. Because of his youth, his mother became regent, while her relatives and friends secured
leading positions in the state. However, as early as May, the Miloslavsky party, led by Alexis s
able and strong willed daughter Sofia, Peter s half sister, inspired a rebellion of the Streltsy,
musketeers who made up Russia s top military corps. The Streltsy in Moscow murdered top
members of the Naryshkin group2. There, Peter witnessed these murders and the Miloslavskys
seized power. At the request of the Streltsy, the Boyar Duma declared Ivan senior tsar and allowed
Peter to be junior tsar. A little later, Sofiawas made regent with the justification that the sickly and
feeble minded Ivan was unable to rule. From 1682 to 1689 Sofiaand her associates controlled
Muscovy, while Peter I spent time with the Naryshkin party in the village of Preobrazhenskoye.
A final confrontation between the Miloslavsky and Naryshkin happened in August 1689. Peter
group was so strong that Sofia surrendered to her brother. The

The Era Of Self-Driving Vehicles
Take a glance into the future and you can almost see the future of mobility unfolding, the era of self
driving cars. Currently, autonomous cars are emerging at the forefront of technological innovation
that can have a profound impact in reshaping our roads, our cities, and our lives. By definition, an
autonomous vehicle is one that is capable of sensing its environment and navigating without human
input. The concept of a reliable, fully self driving vehicle that swiftly travels a passenger to their
desired location without the hassle of everyday driving has long intrigued many. This fascination
with the growing prosperity of the automotive future has sparked interest and has increasingly
become a hot topic for discussion among engineers and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With the assistance of autonomous cars, however, traffic will be considerably alleviated due to
the many components and techniques of the vehicle like GPS navigation and sensors that allow it
to function, sense their surroundings, and effectively navigate on the roads without any
interruptions. Because self driving cars will operate differently from human driven vehicles, it
will eliminate the need for stop signs and traffic lights. In specific, the capabilities of autonomous
cars will allow a new way to manage traffic at intersections by being able to continue driving
especially at intersections without having to stop. Completing revamping the traffic system will
permit self automated cars to have the potential to dramatically reduce congestion resulting in
environmental benefits like reducing fuel use and harmful emissions. Moreover, self driving cars
will be the end to a common daily occurrence in driving where traffic appears to back up for no
reason. Otherwise known as a phantom traffic jam happens in response to the deceleration of many
cars and slight variations in speed that lead to slowed traffic causing a ripple effect in roadways. By
incorporating automated cars in our country s flawed transportation system, it will efficiently
optimize traffic flow unclog traffic jams, and save a substantial amount of time during

The Possible Causes of Cleft Lip and Palate
Cleft lip and/or palate is a condition where the tissue of the lip did not completely close during
embryotic formation that affects 1 in 700 people born. Though not immediately fatal, the
disorder can cause complications with consuming and speech that could lead to more serious
problems. The only way to fix the gap is to surgically go in and sew the two sides of the lip
/palate together; this is a comparable easier and faster solution than other solutions out there for
different disorders. Many people who get the surgery recover fine, have slight physical
differences, and are able to succeed in society like anyone else (condition does not hinder mental
state or ability drastically). This condition has many different phenotypes that fall in two
categories, unilateral cleft and bilateral cleft (Dixon et al., 2011). In a unilateral cleft, only one
side of the palate or lip is affected (asymmetrical) while in a bilateral cleft, both sides are affected
usually in a symmetric pattern. Because of the large range of phenotypes, it is very difficult to
trace back to certain genes and factors and figure out how these factors together influence the
expression of the trait. Cleft lip and/or palate can be expressed by itself, called non syndromic, or
with other conditions including Kabuki syndrome, called syndromic (Dixon et al., 2011).
Depending on the type of disorder, this condition is caused by different chromosomes and mutations
on these chromosomes. For example, if it is indeed

The Mental Capacity Act 2005
Answer: Introduction: The Mental Capacity Act 2005 (MCA 2005) introduced a statutory
framework for advance decision making in England and Wales building upon the common law
recognition of advance decisions. Academics considered that a bias may operate against
upholding advance decisions refusing life sustaining treatment 1. It s commonly felt that judges
usually give decisions favouring preservation of life and making advance decisions invalid on
various grounds. Recent case law indicates that a high level of specificity is required for advance
refusals of life sustaining treatment and, in some capacity must be demonstrated at the time of
making the decision. This essay will argue the legal back ground of the advance decisions and
relevant case law. There are suggestions that advance care planning (ACP) instead of advance
decisions (ADRT) may be more helpful when it comes to the practice of law on ground 2. The
Mental Capacity Act 2005: The MCA 2005 introduced the statutory framework for the advance
decisions as follows: A decision made by a person ( P ) after he has reached 18 and when he has
capacity to do so, that if (a) at a later time and in such circumstances as he may specify, a specified
treatment is proposed to be carried out or continued by a person providing health care for him, and
(b) at that time he lacks capacity to consent to the carrying out or continuation of the treatment, the
specified treatment is not to be carried out or

Jesus also points out the sin she has committed and instructs her to submit her life and worship
the Father in Spirit and in truth, and then finally introduces Himself to her. Also Jesus by
washing the feet of His disciples shows how He becomes a servant and show the love he has for
them, in the same manner the most effective type of evangelism is love, compassion and serving
like Jesus. At first the failed to approach evangelism the correct way. The disciples fail to
prioritize evangelism and they overlook the woman or see her spiritual needs. They fail to
realize the spiritual harvest ripe before them (John 4:35) they weren t able to see how big the
harvest could be, but instead not knowingly they try to distract Jesus by telling Him to eat.
Evangelism in the early church is different then evangelism in the church today. Today some
churches do not even share the truth but only talk about money and how to make the church
bigger. Some churches do not share the whole true and are not bold like the early church because
they are afraid that they will lose members because of the truth. Also in some churches there is a
lot of division. In the early church like stated earlier, they were unified and helped each other out.
Now there is a lot of gossip and others try to excel above others in the church.
Jesus is our best example and we must love Him above all things and love others as He loves us,
always being filled with the Holy

Howard Schultz Leadership Summary
In the video Howard Schultz on Leadership, Schultz explains that competition exists in any
business. Subsequently, leaders cannot afford to take a breath because their competitors want to
take food off of [their] table. He goes on to explain that to build sustainable success, enduring
success business leaders need to eradicate the human behavior of relaxing the human behavior of
feeling like [they] have won. He emphasizes that having this kind of mentality is equivocally wrong
and that people must be aware that success in not an entitlement but, rather; something that has to
be earned and earned every day. Schultz also discusses the level of bureaucracy and consensus
building that exists within companies. Consequently, decision making

  • 5. The Cardiovascular System Responses During Submaximal... INTRODUCTION Information on cardiovascular differences between the sexes is necessary for allied health professionals to best adapt rehabilitation exercises for the patients with cardiovascular diseases (CVD). The cardiovascular system has to adjust in response to metabolic demands of working muscles during exercise. Gender related differences on how the body meets the increased demands while still maintaining homeostatic arterial blood pressure has been widely researched (CITE). There is some support that vaso regulation differences are due to female sex hormones (estrogen, in particular estradiol), and less sympathetic nervous system influence when compared to males (CITE). Additionally, body composition (higher muscle mass in males) and substrate utilisation (more lipid substrate utilisation in females) have been found to have significant effects on the cardiovascular system responses during submaximal exercise (CITE). Upper body exercise has been found to create more stress on the cardiovascular system compared to lower body exercise (CITE). The primary causes of death in the Australian population are directly or indirectly related to cardiovascular diseases (CVD) (CITE). Although, men are at greater risk for developing CVD, women have been found to have a higher morbidity rate post surgery (CITE). Additionally, the presentation of symptoms for female differs to that of their male counterparts (CITE). Thus, further investigation to better understand the differences ... Such clouded judgements occurs, that many argue it covers the thoughts of nationalist country officials so often that it can even create war. Is it true that War has a hunger for nationalism? Although many people argue that nationalism cannot be the cause of international conflicts, nationalism can and is the cause of many international conflicts because nationalism causes sense of pride and greed that, if broken, could have prevented the start of wars, nationalism also builds up to resentment of other countries that allows war to seem like the only answer and although other factors may set the idea of a conflict, nationalism fuels it further into complete war. Rocks of Ages by Stephen Jay Gould Rocks of Ages is Stephen Jay Gould s commentary on the conflict between secular scientists and religious believers who reject scientific theory when in it is disagreement with religious teachings about nature and origin of the natural world. Certain aspects of his argument hold true, but the application is impossible and still gives one magisteria a dominance over the other. While it is an accurate account of historical disagreements and critical views of well known people, his argument is flawed by human nature. He repeatedly contradicts himself and maintains a bias in favor of scientific theory. Gould begins the extended essay by explaining the purpose of the novel. The preamble is a summary of the present war that exists only in people s minds and social practices. He believes that scienceand religioncannot be unified or synthesized, but they should not experience conflict, because science is to define the natural world, and religion the moral aspect. Gould argues that if each realm is separate, then they should not encounter arguments. He calls this the principle of Non Overlapping Magisterium or NOMA. The idea is that the fullness of humanity can only be achieved when science and religion are each allowed to contribute in areas for which that particular mode of thinking is most appropriate, and restricted from interfering in domains for which it is not. His largest supporting illustration is given by comparison to the also non overlapping domain of art. Most ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Though the abuse might only physically affect one person, it could still greatly impact everyone else. The first way that Child Sexual Abuse affects the community is through fear. Sometimes families in communities have an ideal idea about their identity and if something, such as Child Sexual Abuse happens in a family in that community, it could disrupt the foundation. According to the organization, New York Alliance against Sexual Assault, The community s reluctance to interfere in private family matters, and the desire to maintain the illusion of family as a safe unit, hides and condones the widespread incidence of Child Sexual Abuse (Adult Survivors, 2015). This would create a presumption of no criminal liability where this is proof of a mental disorder. However, this assumes that a lack of criminal responsibility simply because of a mental dysfunction is evident, rather than establishing a standard of criminal responsibility. This questions the application of insanityto all crimes rather than those involving mens rea only. Another criticism of the defence of insanity is that at a trial involving a plea of insanity there will be conflicting medical evidence given by both the prosecution and the defence, however the final decision of whether the D is legally insane or not is ... • 25. Genre, Plot, And Theme Of This Play 1)Discuss the genre, plot, and theme of this play. The genre is a musical comedy. The rock music of the eighties moves the play through the story that is centered in the Bourbon Room bar in Los Angeles. Most of the characters in the play used to be in a rock band, currently are in a rock band or are trying hard to get into a rock band. The girls who wanted or currently want to make in movies are bar waitresses and strippers. Big business wants to close down the strip and develop a new business district. The classic rock hits and the main love interest moves the story toward a happy and energetic ending. 2)Did you enjoy the production? Why or why not? I enjoy comedies and I love many of the songs that were in the play so I could not help but laugh and sing along at times. The production was very good overall. I was uncomfortable with the strippers. The very suggestive dances and constant presence of the outfits were not necessary for the overall story. The females playing the strippers did a good job and did deliver in lines and lyrics. The actors did a very convincing job. The vocals were strong and the live rock band gave the show a punch. The small stage and limited seating at the Virginia Samford Theatrewere strengths. The actors were close and you could see every expression. The main antagonists were the Common Wealth Armed forces on one side and the Malayan National Liberation Army, and the military arm of the Malayan Communist Party on the other side. The Common Wealth Forces armed the communist party during their warwith the Japanese Army in the Second World War. The Malayan Emergency was originally the colonial government s term for the conflict. The rubber plantation and tin mining industries pushed for the use of the term emergency since their losses would not have been covered by the insurances if they had been termed a war. During the Malayan Emergency, both the opposition and the Common Wealth Forces had mass casualties and deaths. In the Malaya Emergency, the Common Wealth Forces applied so many strategies to defeat their enemies unlike in other wars. With the massive amount of wealth and power gained by the Athenians the statement of the Parthenon is a sort of claim of superiority over all other nations and enforces a sort of national pride on Athenian power. It is an example of their efficiency as a fighting machine. The reliefs serve as metaphors of triumph over the irrational barbarians and order over chaos that defines the mindset of Athenian society. • 29. Joshua By Ellen G. White Analysis Moses was dead. The Israelites had no leader and they began to wonder what was going to happen to them. They shouldn t have been fearful; God was taking care of them. Joshua, who had been the prime minister fro Moses, had been handpicked by God to fulfill the leadership position. As the story says, Joshua had been chosen by Godto lead the Israelites. He had shown wisdom and discernment in many situations and he understood the responsibility for leading the people. He was well qualified for the position! Joshua was well qualified for this position, because he had been faithful before in small menial tasks that had been given to him. He had been faithful to God in the little things and now because of the faithfulness God was giving to him this huge responsibility. Reading this made me think about my own life. It is formally defined as the critical, structured examination of how people institutions should behave in the world of commerce. Specifically, it examines self interest and profits, versus moral values and ethics. The Ford Pinto was a new stylish car, which gave Ford an ultimatum. Save money or save lives. In this paper I will explain the ethical problems with the Ford Pinto and why it s imperative for corporations to incorporate ethics into their companies. The American automobile and the foreign car manufacturers were battling in 1960 70s attempting to create a more efficient car at bargain prices. Another problem that was haunting the industry was the gas consumption, which, in the period of the Arab oil embargo in 1970s, became a really critical issue. The survival for the American automobile industry was in designing and building of subcompact cars, which would be affordable for masses, consuming as less gas as possible. Such car for the Ford Motor Company became Ford Pinto that was presented to public in September of 1970. Since competition between domestic automobile manufacturers was very intense, the Ford Motors Company decided to build Ford Pinto in only 25 month versus normal 43 months. The General Manager of Ford Pinto project, Lee Iacocca, was so obsessed with the idea of creating an affordable car and winning the market, that he specifically set a certain goal for Ford Pinto development team. Leitmotif is defined by the theme in the music that is associated with certain scenes, moods, or people. For an example, whenever the movie tries to create a feeling of sadness felt by Harry s loneliness after having lost his parents, there is sad music playing in the background that plays softly. By consistently having this music played whenever Harry is feeling down, we begin to associate the connection between the two. Another specific scene where the same sad theme is played in the background, is when Harry looks into the mirror where he sees his parents. John Williams does this for all sorts of moods whether it be happiness, sadness, or excitement as well as having music for specific characters and settings. 2e. Florence Kelley s Speech On Child Labor Rights On July 22, 1905, Florence Kelley, motivated by the plight of these young women and children, affected drastically by the lack of child labor laws, delivered a speech to the National American Women s Suffrage Association in Philadelphia. Kelley s strategies, including word choice and tone, persuade her audience to join forces to help free the American children from toil. Beginning her speech, Kelley applies her credibility by placing statistics regarding the controversy of child labor laws, revealing that she is informed about this topic. Her credibility has a great connection to her purpose, she claims that the number of working girls doubled from census to census and girls from twelve to twenty years are working when they should not have to. Kelley then manifests her concern over these working girls by explaining that, tonight, while everybody else is snoozing away in bed, these several thousand little girls will be working in textile mills, (16 17). These words make her audience feel pity concerning those young girls and are a great reason to act against the unfair laws and regulations that violate both their human and women s rights, especially when they aren t even getting paid fairly. By appealing to their emotion Florence Kelley wishes to push the women to act on her proposal of joining together and helping the poor young girls of their nation. Kelley continues to approach and influence the women s sentiments and hopefully their actions by including her scandalized argument that in Georgia there is no restriction whatever! God calls everyone to fulfill their vocation, but it takes people different amounts of time to finally respond to that calling. The Lord called Samuel to be the first of Israel s great prophets at time when much of Israel was in a state of disunity. As the people called for a king to control the land, Samuel would serve as the last of the Judges and a link between God and His people. Samuel s mother, Hannah, was originally declared barren, but was granted a son after praying to God begging for a child. In the 1300s, Dante Alighieri wrote three parts to the epic poem, The Divine Comedy, an imaginary story about himself. Dante is given a tour of the three different sections of Heaven: Inferno, Purgatorio, and Paradiso. Alighieri puts Dante through innumerable experiences that change him as The Divine Comedyprogresses. Before Dante s journey through Inferno, he realizes his current way of life is not on the true path . In other words, Dante is not living life the way he should purely and without sinning. Alighieri compares this feeling to being alone in a dark wood; as he says in line three of Canto I. When Virgilcalls to Charon to take them to the circles of hell, Dante passes out because he is overwhelmed and frightened. This event shows that he is shocked and not prepared for the things he is about to go through. The second circle is filled with the lustful souls. These souls are punished by being constantly blown by wind, preventing them from finding tranquility. Keep them enthusiastic about learning, make them energetic. Give a shape to their daily work that they can see the result of their own work. Create a healthy and joyful environment where they can enjoy and make themselves free. It is to understand the changes in the behavior of students, how they are reacting in different situations, how they are blending with the class and other students. It is also noted how the television, magazines effect on their choices (Toloie Eshlaghy et al. 2011). RESEARCH APPROACH The approach has been maintained according to the scenario. The ongoing research was done without letting the students know about it because at this age kids tend to be sensitive. They do not like any eyes observing them critically. This was taken into mind while doing the research. Most of the students were from good background, there was no one from deprived background. So, the research was made taking that into mind. As family matters make marks into mind at this age thus the information on their life outside school was also noted (Saunders et al. 2008). A bitter struggle soon advanced for the throne between the two families, the Miloslavskys and the Naryshkins. The Naryshkins won. With the support by the patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church, a majority in the Boyar Duma (Russia s council of nobles), and a gathering of the gentry (untitled landowners), the nine year old Peter was proclaimed tsar in April of 1682. Because of his youth, his mother became regent, while her relatives and friends secured leading positions in the state. However, as early as May, the Miloslavsky party, led by Alexis s able and strong willed daughter Sofia, Peter s half sister, inspired a rebellion of the Streltsy, musketeers who made up Russia s top military corps. The Streltsy in Moscow murdered top members of the Naryshkin group2. There, Peter witnessed these murders and the Miloslavskys seized power. At the request of the Streltsy, the Boyar Duma declared Ivan senior tsar and allowed Peter to be junior tsar. A little later, Sofiawas made regent with the justification that the sickly and feeble minded Ivan was unable to rule. From 1682 to 1689 Sofiaand her associates controlled Muscovy, while Peter I spent time with the Naryshkin party in the village of Preobrazhenskoye. Currently, autonomous cars are emerging at the forefront of technological innovation that can have a profound impact in reshaping our roads, our cities, and our lives. By definition, an autonomous vehicle is one that is capable of sensing its environment and navigating without human input. The concept of a reliable, fully self driving vehicle that swiftly travels a passenger to their desired location without the hassle of everyday driving has long intrigued many. This fascination with the growing prosperity of the automotive future has sparked interest and has increasingly become a hot topic for discussion among engineers and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... With the assistance of autonomous cars, however, traffic will be considerably alleviated due to the many components and techniques of the vehicle like GPS navigation and sensors that allow it to function, sense their surroundings, and effectively navigate on the roads without any interruptions. Because self driving cars will operate differently from human driven vehicles, it will eliminate the need for stop signs and traffic lights. In specific, the capabilities of autonomous cars will allow a new way to manage traffic at intersections by being able to continue driving especially at intersections without having to stop. Completing revamping the traffic system will permit self automated cars to have the potential to dramatically reduce congestion resulting in environmental benefits like reducing fuel use and harmful emissions. Moreover, self driving cars will be the end to a common daily occurrence in driving where traffic appears to back up for no reason. Otherwise known as a phantom traffic jam happens in response to the deceleration of many cars and slight variations in speed that lead to slowed traffic causing a ripple effect in roadways. By incorporating automated cars in our country s flawed transportation system, it will efficiently optimize traffic flow unclog traffic jams, and save a substantial amount of time during ... • 47. The Possible Causes of Cleft Lip and Palate Cleft lip and/or palate is a condition where the tissue of the lip did not completely close during embryotic formation that affects 1 in 700 people born. Though not immediately fatal, the disorder can cause complications with consuming and speech that could lead to more serious problems. The only way to fix the gap is to surgically go in and sew the two sides of the lip /palate together; this is a comparable easier and faster solution than other solutions out there for different disorders. Many people who get the surgery recover fine, have slight physical differences, and are able to succeed in society like anyone else (condition does not hinder mental state or ability drastically). This condition has many different phenotypes that fall in two categories, unilateral cleft and bilateral cleft (Dixon et al., 2011). In a unilateral cleft, only one side of the palate or lip is affected (asymmetrical) while in a bilateral cleft, both sides are affected usually in a symmetric pattern. Because of the large range of phenotypes, it is very difficult to trace back to certain genes and factors and figure out how these factors together influence the expression of the trait. Cleft lip and/or palate can be expressed by itself, called non syndromic, or with other conditions including Kabuki syndrome, called syndromic (Dixon et al., 2011). Depending on the type of disorder, this condition is caused by different chromosomes and mutations on these chromosomes. For example, if it is indeed ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 48. The Mental Capacity Act 2005 Answer: Introduction: The Mental Capacity Act 2005 (MCA 2005) introduced a statutory framework for advance decision making in England and Wales building upon the common law recognition of advance decisions. Academics considered that a bias may operate against upholding advance decisions refusing life sustaining treatment 1. It s commonly felt that judges usually give decisions favouring preservation of life and making advance decisions invalid on various grounds. Recent case law indicates that a high level of specificity is required for advance refusals of life sustaining treatment and, in some capacity must be demonstrated at the time of making the decision. This essay will argue the legal back ground of the advance decisions and relevant case law. There are suggestions that advance care planning (ACP) instead of advance decisions (ADRT) may be more helpful when it comes to the practice of law on ground 2. The Mental Capacity Act 2005: The MCA 2005 introduced the statutory framework for the advance decisions as follows: A decision made by a person ( P ) after he has reached 18 and when he has capacity to do so, that if (a) at a later time and in such circumstances as he may specify, a specified treatment is proposed to be carried out or continued by a person providing health care for him, and (b) at that time he lacks capacity to consent to the carrying out or continuation of the treatment, the specified treatment is not to be carried out or ... Jesus also points out the sin she has committed and instructs her to submit her life and worship the Father in Spirit and in truth, and then finally introduces Himself to her. Also Jesus by washing the feet of His disciples shows how He becomes a servant and show the love he has for them, in the same manner the most effective type of evangelism is love, compassion and serving like Jesus. At first the failed to approach evangelism the correct way. The disciples fail to prioritize evangelism and they overlook the woman or see her spiritual needs. They fail to realize the spiritual harvest ripe before them (John 4:35) they weren t able to see how big the harvest could be, but instead not knowingly they try to distract Jesus by telling Him to eat. Evangelism in the early church is different then evangelism in the church today. Today some churches do not even share the truth but only talk about money and how to make the church bigger. Some churches do not share the whole true and are not bold like the early church because they are afraid that they will lose members because of the truth. Also in some churches there is a lot of division. In the early church like stated earlier, they were unified and helped each other out. Now there is a lot of gossip and others try to excel above others in the church.
