52. A WORD FROM THE MAYOR OF UNION TOWNSHIP
Michele Delisfort, the mayor of Union Township in NJ, met with Comcast Newsmakers to
touch upon the need for redevelopment in Union. Historically, Union has always been a
place that values history and culture, consistent with Titan Engineers' views. Although
the township has remained lively, there have been noticeable vacancies and eyesores
around the community, the former bank of union being one of them.
To that end, Titan Engineers has stepped in to adapt and reuse the structure,
transforming it into Titan Union, a multiple-use facility in the form of residential units
and collective office spaces.
In the interview, Mayor Delisfort recognizes Titan Engineers' ability to design structurally
sound buildings which will in turn generate foot traffic and residential interaction
throughout the community of Union and surrounding areas. The project is scheduled to
be completed in 2021.
