Oral hygiene involves keeping the mouth clean through brushing, flossing, and dental checkups to prevent issues like cavities, gum disease, and bad breath. Proper oral hygiene is important for overall health and can reduce the risk of diseases like heart disease and diabetes. Dentists recommend regular brushing, flossing, dental sealants, a balanced diet, avoiding tobacco, cleaning the tongue, and regular dental visits to maintain good oral health.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN HEALTHCARE.pdfAnujkumaranit
Artificial intelligence (AI) refers to the simulation of human intelligence processes by machines, especially computer systems. It encompasses tasks such as learning, reasoning, problem-solving, perception, and language understanding. AI technologies are revolutionizing various fields, from healthcare to finance, by enabling machines to perform tasks that typically require human intelligence.
Lung Cancer: Artificial Intelligence, Synergetics, Complex System Analysis, S...Oleg Kshivets
RESULTS: Overall life span (LS) was 2252.1±1742.5 days and cumulative 5-year survival (5YS) reached 73.2%, 10 years – 64.8%, 20 years – 42.5%. 513 LCP lived more than 5 years (LS=3124.6±1525.6 days), 148 LCP – more than 10 years (LS=5054.4±1504.1 days).199 LCP died because of LC (LS=562.7±374.5 days). 5YS of LCP after bi/lobectomies was significantly superior in comparison with LCP after pneumonectomies (78.1% vs.63.7%, P=0.00001 by log-rank test). AT significantly improved 5YS (66.3% vs. 34.8%) (P=0.00000 by log-rank test) only for LCP with N1-2. Cox modeling displayed that 5YS of LCP significantly depended on: phase transition (PT) early-invasive LC in terms of synergetics, PT N0—N12, cell ratio factors (ratio between cancer cells- CC and blood cells subpopulations), G1-3, histology, glucose, AT, blood cell circuit, prothrombin index, heparin tolerance, recalcification time (P=0.000-0.038). Neural networks, genetic algorithm selection and bootstrap simulation revealed relationships between 5YS and PT early-invasive LC (rank=1), PT N0—N12 (rank=2), thrombocytes/CC (3), erythrocytes/CC (4), eosinophils/CC (5), healthy cells/CC (6), lymphocytes/CC (7), segmented neutrophils/CC (8), stick neutrophils/CC (9), monocytes/CC (10); leucocytes/CC (11). Correct prediction of 5YS was 100% by neural networks computing (area under ROC curve=1.0; error=0.0).
CONCLUSIONS: 5YS of LCP after radical procedures significantly depended on: 1) PT early-invasive cancer; 2) PT N0--N12; 3) cell ratio factors; 4) blood cell circuit; 5) biochemical factors; 6) hemostasis system; 7) AT; 8) LC characteristics; 9) LC cell dynamics; 10) surgery type: lobectomy/pneumonectomy; 11) anthropometric data. Optimal diagnosis and treatment strategies for LC are: 1) screening and early detection of LC; 2) availability of experienced thoracic surgeons because of complexity of radical procedures; 3) aggressive en block surgery and adequate lymph node dissection for completeness; 4) precise prediction; 5) adjuvant chemoimmunoradiotherapy for LCP with unfavorable prognosis.

Tips to-maintain-proper-oral-hygiene
1. Tips to maintain proper oral
hygiene
http://healthcareindubai.blogspot.ae
2. Oral Hygiene
The practice of keeping your mouth, teeth and gums clean by regular brushing flossing
and dental check-ups to prevent dental problems such as dental cavities, periodontal
diseases, gingivitis, and bad breath is called oral hygiene.
A Healthy Mouth has the following characteristics-
Teeth are clean and there is no debris present in them
Pink gums and they do not pain or bleed when brushed or flossed
There is no consistent problem of bad breath
3. Oral Health and related diseases
It is very important to have a good oral health as it not only serves for aesthetic purposes giving you a good
smile but also is good for the overall health.
It is known to prevent some problems such as gum disease, heart disease, bone loss, stroke, and infection
Several clinical studies have shown that a bad oral hygiene can be a trigger for the following diseases-
Cardiovascular Diseases such as heart attack and stroke.
Extremely low or high birth weight of infants
Osteoporosis
Diabetes and complications related to it
Bacterial Pneumonia
4. Recommended Tips by Dentists
Regular Brushing
Dental Sealants
Healthy and Balanced diet
Flossing
Avoiding Tobacco
Cleaning your tongue
Regularly visiting your dentist
5. Regular Brushing
It is absolutely essential to brush your teeth at least once a day.
It helps in the removal of tartar and dental plaque from the teeth along with getting rid of
bad breath.
The dental plaque and tartar can be very dangerous over a period of time as it may cause
cavities, tooth decay, gum diseases, and gingivitis.
The highest number of tooth loss throughout the world is either due to tooth decay or
gum diseases.
Tooth decay occurs when food particles are left trapped inside the fissures of the teeth
due to not brushing or improper brushing of teeth.
6. Dental sealants
Dental sealants are used by dentists to cover up the fissures on teeth on the back of
the mouth so that no more trapping of food can happen and hence, preventing tooth
decay
A visit to the dentist at least once every six months is also very important for the
cleaning of the teeth.
7. Healthy and balanced diet
A healthy diet and avoiding snacks high in carbohydrates and sticky sweet snacks can
prevent periodontal diseases and tooth decay.
Also, consumption of sodas, alcohol, and coffee can cause the detrimental action on teeth
as they have large quantities of phosphorous.
Phosphorous is essential for a healthy mouth in small quantities but after a certain level, it
can cause cavities.
There are a number of foods that ensure the safety of teeth against tooth decay.
Foods that contain fluoride as it prevents cavities by maintaining the pH level of your
mouth.
Water contains fluoride naturally and in community water, fluoride is added separately in 1
ppm quantity to maintain dental health.
There are certain foods that must be avoided at all accounts such as carbohydrates
especially cooked starches and sugars especially sticky sugars. E.g. - chips and other fried
foods, toffee and chocolates etc.
8. Flossing
This step is often forgotten or ignored while going through the everyday chore of brushing
your teeth.
This helps the cleaning of spaces between the teeth where general brushing or even using
mouthwash will not do it.
Dentists recommend flossing at least once in a day.
9. Avoiding Tobacco
Tobacco is extremely dangerous for your health, not only does it cause mouth cancer and
lung cancer but it also complications in your oral health.
Generally, smokers try to compensate for the smell of cigarettes by drinking alcohol, tea,
coffee etc., which in turn doubles the danger done to their teeth.
10. Cleaning your tongue
Cleaning the surface of your tongue is just as important for your dental health as cleaning
your teeth.
It removes harmful bacteria from your tongue which otherwise will cause halitosis or bad
breath and tooth damage.
11. Regularly visiting your dentist
Regular visits to your dentist or orthodontist will ensure that dental problems are at bay.
If you don't take care of your oral health, there is a huge chance for the development of
complications
It is absolutely essential that when any kind of a toothache, gum bleed or any other
symptoms presents itself, you must rush to your dentist.
