C. Lynn Williams, a parenting coach and author, provided tips for staying sane while parenting teens in an interview. She suggested that parents take time for themselves, stick to declared consequences, remain the parent not the friend, set a good example, spend one-on-one time with each teen, encourage shared family meals, understand their love language, and seek expert help if needed. Her books on effective parenting are popular for providing guidance on how to parent teens.

Mental health of children depends on the way parents interact with them. Though every parent wishes to provide the best at home, they may not be giving the best to their children as no full proof method of bringing up children has been invented. This is because no two children are alike. There are more differences between children than we ordinarily believe. Moreover, culture, society, gender of the child and a host of other factors interact with the upbringing of children

The role that parents establish in the family framework and the way in which they relate to their children, as well as the values that they transmit to them, is crucial for the development of children and adolescents. Best CBSE Schools in Coimbatore. The fascinating and not always easy path of raising and educating children is conditioned by multiple factors. Broadly speaking, we would have, on the one hand, genetics and everything that every human being carries "as standard" and, on the other, the influence of the environment.
Welcome to the Program Your Destiny course. In this course, we will be learning the technology of personal transformation, neuroassociative conditioning (NAC) as pioneered by Tony Robbins. In doing so, you change your destiny, moving towards unlocking the hypersocial self within, the true self free from fear and operating from a place of personal power and love.
2. C. Lynn Williams, who is parenting coach, author and
mother, talked to Lon Woodbury, host of the Struggling
Teens radio program on L.A. Talk Radio, about the many
obstacles parents face when raising teenagers. She
provided lots of valuable pointers on staying sane while
parenting teens.
4. C. Lynn Williams, is an author, wife and mother of four
adult children. She holds a Masters in Business
Administration, having attended Roosevelt University in
Chicago, Illinois. In addition to writing, she is an avid
reader, health enthusiast, and educator.
5. Universal Tips to Parenting Effectively and Staying Sane
While Parenting Teens
6. The hour-long interview on Internet radio covered a
number of questions on the best strategies for staying
sane while parenting teens.
7. Williams disclosed a lot of valuable idea that parents
could make use of to raise adolescents, including the
following suggestions:
8. *Mothers and fathers should take some time off for
themselves, taking time for resting and working out in
the gym or at home to stay healthy and balanced.
9. *Mothers and fathers ought to stick to their own
declared intentions about consequences. When children
are on the edge of their adult years, they require some
structure and parents have to follow up on providing
declared consequences for poor behavior to
demonstrate consistency.
10. *Parents should remain parents and not try to become
the child's best friend. While it is harmless to enjoy
spending time with teens in some leisure activity,
parents should refrain from crossing the line of
acceptable and legal behavior, like, for example, drinking
with their teen.
11. *Parents should set an example, rather than expect their
children to follow different rules than they themselves
do.
12. *Every parent should hang out with each child, spending
time to get to know them and understand their likes and
dislikes.
13. *Mothers and fathers should encourage the age-old
tradition of sharing meals with their children. This
remains one of the single most effective ways to have
enjoyable chats in a relaxed atmosphere.
14. *Mothers and fathers must discover the love language
of their children, and they must also try to relate to each
gender accordingly. For example, girls commonly
appreciate conversations while boys like to do things.
15. Williams also answered questions raised by the host
about parenting tweens, children who are between ten
and fourteen years; about when and how you can look
for expert support if necessary; about how you can take
care of children when they test your patience; and about
how parents need to establish a support network of
educators, next-door neighbors, and family members.
16. Her books on the theme of parenting effectively are
remarkably popular and changing the way that we look
at parenting, giving us much-needed answers on what to
do and how to do it. Parenting is not easy and hearing
words of wisdom from a seasoned parent is priceless
wisdom.
