The Timeless project aims at enhancing the professional development of adult educators working with older adults through new training opportunities. This enables EFL learning materials based on cultural heritage in collaboration with adult learners.
Timeless project raises appreciation of local and common European heritage, increases cultural awareness, fosters intercultural dialogue through interpretation of common European patrimony in the context of non-formal and informal adult education of foreign languages.
This presentation forms part of the module Teaching Older Learners: Development of Inclusive Learning Culture and can be found at https://www.eutimeless.info/en/course

Thus, taking part in learning
can help older people increase
their quality of life, reduce the
feeling of social isolation and
improve their physical and
mental health. In addition, it
can bring different benefits for
their family, relatives and
friends.

Therefore, the results
showed a tendency that
with the age adult
learners become more
reflective and prefer to
observe things, rather
than to do them.

In addition, adult learners’ achievements could be showcased
by displays, concerts, exhibitions or other forms of
performances of their work, which can be seen by family
members, friends, neighbours, community members or wider
public in general. This makes elders socially engaged and
alive.
