Tiger shark as fearsome as the name suggests, tiger sharks are rightly respected for its aggressive nature and its amazing predatory skills. Baptized with that name on your skin patterns these sharks are far the most numerous members of his immediate family. They can be commonly found in shallow tropical waters but also seem to feel at home in marshy estuaries where they hunt almost everything that is edible and many things that are not plastic bottles license plates rubber tires wine bottles and even cans have been found in the stomachs of tiger sharks Its impressive serrated teeth are often used to tear pieces of much larger prey including carcasses of whales and other marine mammals.

In America it is found in the Pacific coast from southern California to northern Chile and the Atlantic from the Rio de la Plata to New England, being particularly abundant in Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico. Tiger sharks have the second place after the white shark in attacks against humans. Its large size, nature curious and indiscriminate eating habits make him a serious opponent. They have been responsible for many fatal attacks. Like many of the big sharks, the species is ovoviviparous and can birth between 30 and 50 pups of 60-75 centimeters per delivery. Growth is slow and does not reach maturity until 4-6 years when males reach 2.20 meters and 2.60 females. The oldest known specimen was 50.
