         doubling the tourism industry

The objectives of the project
In 2020:
• Stockholm will be a world-class tourist destination
and seen as a safe, welcoming and sustainable city
• The number of guest nights will grow by 50 percent
to 15 million overnight stays
• The number of employees in the hospitality industry
will increase by 50 percent
• The tourism economic inflow will increase by 80
percent




The uniqueness of the project
• Public as well as private and nonprofit organizations
are together investing financial and human capital for
this joint multi-year project
• The task force includes representatives from over 40
companies and organizations in the public, private and
nonprofit sector
• The business plans will be implemented in existing
businesses
• The whole county of Stockholm is involved
