The author describes their relationship with God over time through the metaphors of wrestling and dancing. In their 40s, the author viewed their relationship as wrestling, with intimacy but also struggle. In their 50s, the relationship changed to a slow, graceful dance where God led and the author learned to follow. Stepping back, the author sees their relationship is living and growing, rather than stagnant, helped by visualizing it through these metaphors. The metaphors remind us relationships with God are dynamic and changing.

This document provides suggestions for creative ways to fast and welcome Jesus' healing touch beyond typical fasts of food or television, including giving extra love to family each day, overlooking others' faults as Jesus overlooks ours, holding onto God's promise of a perfect plan, finding moments of joy when tempted to complain, working on forgiveness, fasting from excessive spending and donating the savings to those in need, and spreading messages of hope.
The document summarizes the 8 basic consumer rights in the Philippines according to the Department of Trade and Industry. The 8 rights are: 1) right to basic needs, 2) right to safety, 3) right to information, 4) right to choose, 5) right to redress, 6) right to representation, 7) right to consumer education, and 8) right to a healthy environment. For each right, it provides a brief description and things consumers can do to exercise that right. A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
