There are two broad approaches to financing health care: a market-based approach and a government-financed approach. For each approach, answer the following questions:
Who is provided access?
How much coverage is provided?
How are the services paid for?
How does reimbursement apply?
Are there limitations on care?
What guides care decisions for patients?
What is the quality of services?
Are there competitive options?
How much are prevention and wellness emphasized?
How are health care costs managed and controlled?
How are medical advances generated?
How is health care reform established?
In addition, offer any further advantages and/or disadvantages you have gleaned from your research.
The information above can be presented in one of the following formats as long as there are full sentences and examples:

Background:
The Commonwealth Government of Australia is launching ‘My Health Record’ a secure online summary of an individual’s health information.
Available to all Australians, My Health Record is an electronic summary of an individual’s key health information, drawn from their existing records and is designed to be integrated into existing local clinical systems.
The ‘My Health Record’ is driven by the need for the Health Industry to continue a process of reform to drive efficiencies into the health care system, improve the quality of patient care, whilst reducing several issues that were apparent from the lack of important information that is shared about patients e.g. reducing the rate of hospital admissions due to issues with prescribed medications. This reform is critical to address the escalating costs of healthcare that become unsustainable in the medium to long term.
Individuals will control what goes into their My Health Record, and who is allowed to access it. An individual’s My Health Record allows them and their doctors, hospitals and other healthcare providers to view and share the individual’s health information to provide the best possible care.

There is currently a high profile case going on in Chattanooga TN. I.docxcarmanl5wisc
There is currently a high profile case going on in Chattanooga TN. In this case it happened January 2015 when the suspect Cortez Sims busted into an apartment building in one of our projects and he began shooting. He shot 4 people one which was a one year old child. When police responded they found all four people inside and one of the victims did not survive. All of the victims were transported to the hospital for treatment. The one year old child was paralyzed and the other victims were later released. One of the victims Bianca Horton was fed up with all of the violence going on and decided that she was going to cooperate and began to tell the investigators that she knew the suspect and she would testify against him. The reason that people were scared of Cortez Sims is because he is a big time ranking gang member even though he was 17 at the time. Investigators were able to get enough evidence against Cortez Sims and took out arrest warrants. He was eventually arrested in Knoxville for the quadruple shootings and the murder of one of the victims. When he was arrested he was taken to juvenile. In the Chattanoogan:
Juvenile Court Judge Rob Philyaw on Thursday morning ordered that 17-year-old Cortez Sims be tried as an adult in a College Hill Courts shooting that left one woman dead, a toddler paralyzed, and two others wounded. This was a victory for the prosecution. Police at the time knew that they had a very good case against Cortez Sims because not only did they have physical evidence of him at the crime scene they also had a witness that was going to testify against him. Two years later when the case was going to go to trial, the police responded to yet another shooting.
Bianca Horton, 26, was found
dead

witness
in the case against the man accused of shooting her daughter (Chattanooga Times Free Press). This was not only a huge blow to the case but it also woke a lot of the people up to the violence that has been going on. The reason that we believe that she was killed was because she was going to testify against Cortez Sims. So how he found out that she was going to testify, and he gave his gang members a green light to have her taken out. As of to this date we have not be able to solve her murder, we have suspects but as of now we cannot prove that they did it. There are many twists that have played out in this case and it set to go to trial this year. The media has been really involved in this case and has been covering every aspect of the case. In this case I really don't think that the investigators or the prosecutors could have seen this coming with the murder of Bianca Horton. We knew that Cortez Sims was a high ranking gang member but were unaware that he had that much power. This case has opened the eyes of many people in the community an.

Data Analysis Plan
Details:
After the data are collected and before program evaluators meet with management, the data must be analyzed to ensure that it will provide the right type of information for the evaluation. Of vital importance is ensuring that the data fit the indicators identified for analysis. Then, it must be decided how the data and results will be presented. It is important to present the information in ways that make it easy to understand, demonstrate relationships to other data, and allow the information to be used to support decision-making processes. In this assignment, you will write about the methods of analyzing and reporting the study data.
General Requirements:
Use the following information to ensure successful completion of the assignment:
· Locate the data collection procedures you developed in Module 5 to use as reference material for this assignment.

Bianca Horton, 26, was found
dead
on the side of the road in the 2100 block of Elder Street on the side of Missionary shortly after 9 a.m. with multiple bullet casings on the ground beside her. The mother of four had been a
witness
in the case against the man accused of shooting her daughter (Chattanooga Times Free Press).

All of these people will be impacted by the problem in a unique way, and they may have different perspectives about what is occurring. With Part II, you are going to have the opportunity to examine the social problem you chose from multiple perspectives.
If you chose divorce or one-parent families, discuss how the parents and the children involved view the issue.
Part III:
Conclude your paper by discussing how society views the social problem that you wrote about. In addition, discuss your role as an advocate. How can you work to create awareness and teach others about diversity and multiculturalism.
Please respond to all questions in each part.

There are multifaceted ethical issues relating to international inve.docxcarmanl5wisc
There are multifaceted ethical issues relating to international investments. One aspect relates to human rights. Most Latin American governments have constitutions that mandate health care as a human right, yet some of these countries provide poor health care for the majority of their population.
During the 1980s, the general populace of these countries deteriorated, even though several Latin American countries developed strategies to reposition medical personnel and services to rural areas. Throughout this time, many international donors provided assistance; however they did so with imposed conditions. An example of this constrained assistance was the World Bank, which imposed restrictions that included privatization of health care, as well as required limitations on universal access.
Did the World Bank and other international donors act responsibly and ethically in constraining their humanitarian assistance? Who has the responsibility for the health care of the Latin American people? Is it a reasonable and socially responsible practice to offer international assistance in exchange for an opportunity to shape a country's political and/or social system? Why or why not?

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
