The George Moroianu Theoretical Highschool is located in Săcele, Brașov County, Romania. It was opened in 1873 as a primary school and has since expanded to include lower secondary and upper secondary classes. It currently has about 900 students and classes are taught in both Romanian and Hungarian. The school grounds are now dispersed across four buildings and it offers extracurricular activities like quilling, a children's choir, and drama group.

2. HISTORY
•The Săcele community was attested first in 1366.
•The school was opened in 1873 as a primary education institution.
•The 1948 education reform in Romania makes it possible for the institution to
become a bilingual elementry school, the teaching languages being both
Romanian and Hungarian.
•In 1955, our shcool became a „Mixed secondory school”, i.e. it included 1st to
12th forms, with Romanian and Hungarian classes. Thus, it was the biggest and
most prestigious school in the Săcele area.

3. HISTORY
The current name of the school was given
to the institution in 1990, when the
famous intellectual politician George
Moroianu became the emblematic and
guiding figure of local education. He was
one of the most important rectors of the
Commerce and Industry Academy in Cluj,
a major higher education institution in
Romania.

4. School Structure
• The current structure of the school is based on three levels of education:
primary, lower secondary and upper-secondary classes.
• At present, there are about 900 students as beneficiaries of our educational
processes.
• For both primary and lower secondary classes, there are also classes taught in
Hungarian.

5. The School Grounds
The school grounds are disposed now in four
different buildings. Therefore, it is now
possible to have only morning classes, starting
at 8 a.m. and up to 3 p.m. All buildings offer a
good educational environment – the gym
construction was finished in December 2010,
while the rest of the buildings have been
recently restaurated.
