The Access and Inclusion Model (AIM) was created in 2016 by the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth to promote inclusion of children with disabilities in early learning and care settings. AIM provides universal supports like training for inclusion coordinators and targeted supports up to level 7 based on individual needs, including access to specialists, specialized equipment, therapeutic supports, and additional staff assistance. The goal is to create inclusive environments where all children can benefit from quality early education regardless of their abilities.
