This document is the bulletin for Epiphany Sunday worship services at Knightdale Baptist Church on January 4, 2015. It includes the order of service, announcements about upcoming church activities, and the weekly schedule. The main events are a message by Rev. Sessoms about Holy Eucharist and the ordinance of the Lord's Supper during the service.
In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

4. Announcements
Backpack Buddies - Thank you ALL for the ongoing food donations you
provide for Backpack Buddies. The weekend meals are going to children at
Knightdale Elementary School who might otherwise have little or no food
from Friday until they return to school Monday morning. We need lots of
kid-friendly non-perishable food items to maintain this ministry (a grocery
list can be found in the vestibule for you to take home). The food collection
bins are located in the Education Building and the vestibule of the
Sanctuary. Thank you again for supporting this ministry.
Upward - Next games will be Saturday, January 10th beginning at 9:00
am. Next practice is January 6th at 6:00 pm in the Family Life Center.

5. Wednesday Night Fellowship Meal

The menu is:
Fried Chicken, String Beans, Buttered Potatoes, Bread,
Homemade Desserts and Beverages (Cheese Pizza always available)
The quarterly business meeting will begin at 6:45 pm in the Sanctuary on this
night, so come out for a good meal and attend the business meeting.
The cost is: adults (10-up) $5.00, children (4-9) $2.00 and children 3 and under free.
Maximum family cost is $20.00. Reservations/cancellations must be made by noon
Tuesday, January 12th. Call the church office to make reservations or complete the
Wednesday Night section on the “Welcome Guest” slip and drop it in the offering plate.
Make sure to write your name on the slip.

coordinator.

Attention KBC Parents: If you have a child participating in
children’s worship, please make sure they are picked up at the end of
the church service by a parent or adult. The children’s worship
leaders will only allow children to be picked up by a parent or adult
from the nursery, toddler, 2-3 year old, 4-5 year old, or 6-7 year old
classrooms. We love our children at KBC and want to ensure their
safety!
