The Woman in Black is a 2012 British horror film directed by James Watkins. It stars Daniel Radcliffe and tells the story of a lawyer who travels to a remote village to examine documents and encounters the vengeful ghost of a woman dressed in black. The film had a budget of $17 million and grossed over $54 million in the US alone. It was produced by several companies including Cross Creek Pictures, Hammer Film Productions, and Alliance Films.

3. Plot
In London, lawyer Arthur Kipps still grieves the death of his beloved
wife Stella on the delivery of their son Joseph four years ago. His
employer gives him a last chance to keep his job, and he is assigned to
travel to the remote village of Cryphin Gifford to examine the
documentation of the Eel Marsh House that belonged to the recently
deceased Mrs. Drablow. Arthur befriends Daily on the train and the
man offers a ride to him to the Gifford Arms inn. Arthur has a cold
reception and the owner of the inn tells that he did not receive the
request of reservation and there is no available room. The next
morning, Arthur meets solicitor Jerome who advises him to return to
London. However, Arthur goes to the isolated manor and soon he finds
that Eel Marsh House is haunted by the vengeful ghost of a woman
dressed in black. He also learns that the woman lost her son drowned
in the marsh and she seeks revenge, taking the children of the scared
locals.

• First official trailer was shown on 10th April 2011 at the
Kapow! Comic Con in London which is a convention
dedicated to comic-books, films, TV and games. Most
people who attend conventions usually have a specific
interest in the things it specialises, as this convention was
specific to films the trailer is targeted at to a specific
audience that would be interested in the film
• Another trailer was attached to some showings of Harry
Potter and the deathly Hallows Part 2 in July 2011. As the
star of Harry Potter was also the star of The Woman In
Black, the trailer is once again targeted specifically to
viewers who likes the actor

target a specific, make it more interactive and use word of mouth marketing to create
hype. Their website has an auto-play trailer so as soon as the site is opened it attracts
