• Brotherhood is a British drama film focusing on gangster warfare in London.
• The director, Noel Clarke, also produced, wrote and stars in this film. Brotherhood is
the most recent film in the ‘hood’ trilogy and is sequel to Adulthood (2008). The first
film in the trilogy is Kidulthood (2006). Noel Clarke starred in the entire trilogy and is
credited with screenplay in Kidulthood and was the director of Adulthood.
• There was a spin-off film made in 2011 called Anuvahood however contained more
comedy. Actor, Adam Deacon, directed and starred in this film and made his
breakthrough in the film, Kidulthood , after impressing Noel Clarke in auditions.
• However, things turned sour when Noel Clarke asked for the film not to be called
Anuvahood but Deacon signed a contract stating how Clarke would no longer be
affiliated with this film. Deacon proceeded in the making of the film and called it
Anuvahood. This led to a bitter feud between the pair and they are no longer friends.

Plot
• The setting takes place ten years on from Adulthood and Sam Peel has settled down
with a new partner and two kids. However he faces new dangers when a gunman,
Drew, shoots Sam’s brother Royston while playing at a gig. Sam realises he is a target
and ventures out to find who is orchestrating these attacks on him and the people
around him.
