The Corona virus pandemic has so much taken the center stage in the media that people do not remember the name of Jesus. They have forgotten the power in his name: to save, to heal, to deliver, to mend, to create and raise the dead. His name is ABOVE all names. Apply his name to that situation TODAY. He is at the CENTER of all these to give us VICTORY. This sermon was delivered to a live audience on ZOOM.To join the Church from any where in the world send a request to the host: pejuoti2017@gmail.com or call +234 805 612 9314. Activity about intimacy with God. How was in OT, How was in the bigining of the NT and how is for us.
Part of the prophetic is studying the scriptures and getting ready to share the word of God with your friends, in your groups, in a church or in any place that you are called to minister.
As the bible says the things that happened in the Old Testament were a shadow of the things to come, and most of them were fulfilled with the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, He said “Do not think that I came to abolish the law or the prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill.”
This exercise today is about presenting you a set of pictures about a biblical personage, you will analyse this pictures and in base of them and your knowledge of the bible, you will give us a five minutes talk on the way the personage you are speaking off had intimacy with the Lord, how the Lord use him, and what was the prophetic meaning for New Testament times, and how we can related to this personage.

What occurred for Israel when they passed through the Red Sea? (Deut. 6:23) What occurred for Israel when they passed through the Jordan River? (Gal. 2:20) What does each “passage” symbolize and how do these “passages” apply to you? When did Israel arrive at Gilgal? (4:19) Why is this date significant? What two major events occurred at Gilgal? (5:2-8 & 10-12) How are these events applicable to your life? On what date did God cease providing manna? (5:11) Why is this important and how is it relevant to you? Who did Joshua meet on the eve of Israel’s battle at Jericho? (5:13-15) How important was this meeting? Why? These and other questions are addressed in this study.
Cicero thought he could overcome the Israelites because he had more chariots. God used Jael, a woman, to take him down. Depending on our physical resources is a losing proposition. Depending on God brings victory!

Sadness and sorrow are inexorably woven in the fabric of life. We cannot escape loss. So, how can grief be good? How can we look as "loss" as possible "gain"?
A very brief overview of Isaiah
Isiah;s prophesy is in part a response to the Song(s) of Moses
Moses called heaven and earth and withness and Isaiah calls heaven and earth in his openeing. Both promise chastizement but also redemption
and Isaiah and the song of Moses become remakable more like the New Testamant with regard to redemption.
-Redemption offered
-A son is given
- the voice crying in the dessert is prelude to songs of Messah
- true worship is exhorted
- the final servant song has Messiah rejected, suffer for sins, die and overcome death
- justice is exhorted
- Jerusalem goes from unfaithful to faithful and holy
- redemption is offered to the world
- in the 'new Jerusalem' rightousness dwells
- the book draws to a close with passages using wedding like celebration labguae like 'the marriage supper of the lamb does'
A Journey exploring few of the living signs and prophecies in the Old and New testament that assures the authenticity of the final revelation "Quraan".

Lesson 2 of 26 in a series of New Testament Vistas. This sermon on John the Baptist was presented November 6, 2011, at Palm Desert Church of Christ, by Dale Wells
Bit by bit we learn how to be calm. Being still and calm gives us strength and ability to withstand the stress of constant change. Calmness can preach a powerful sermon even when few words are spoken.
God is a refuge in times of trouble (vv. 1-3)
God is with us in times of trouble (vv. 4-7)
God must be thought of in times of trouble (vv. 8-11)
Upon coming to the Promised Land, the Hebrews must choose whether to embrace the future God has led them to, or to turn away. The metaphor is for the Kingdom of God that we as Christians profess. "Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done..." but when it means risking our comfort and convenience, will we too turn away?
In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…

7. Unsettling News
Deuteronomy 1:1 These are the words Moses spoke
to all Israel in the wilderness east of the Jordan—
that is, in the Arabah—opposite Suph, between
Paran and Tophel, Laban, Hazeroth and Dizahab. 2
(It takes eleven days to go from Horeb to Kadesh
Barnea by the Mount Seir road.)
3 In the fortieth year, on the first day of the eleventh
month, Moses proclaimed to the Israelites all that
the Lord had commanded him concerning them.
8. It’s time to keep journeying into the Purposes and Plans
of the Lord. To strike your tents and leave the mountain
that has become too predictable and too comfortable.
Deuteronomy 1:6 The Lord our God said to us at Horeb, “You have stayed
long enough at this mountain. 7 Break camp and advance into the hill
country of the Amorites; go to all the neighboring peoples in the Arabah, in
the mountains, in the western foothills, in the Negev and along the coast, to
the land of the Canaanites and to Lebanon, as far as the great river, the
Euphrates. 8 See, I have given you this land. Go in and take possession of
the land the Lord swore he would give to your fathers—to Abraham, Isaac
and Jacob—and to their descendants after them.”
9. “The Hero’s Journey
always begins with the call. One way or another, a
guide must come to say, ‘Look, you’re in Sleepy
Land. Wake. Come on a trip. There is a whole
aspect of your consciousness, your being, that’s
not been touched. So you’re at home here? Well,
there’s not enough of you there.’ And so it starts.”
—Joseph Campbell—

13. Needless Wandering
Hebrews 3:15 As has just been said:
“Today, if you hear his voice,
do not harden your hearts
as you did in the rebellion.”
16 Who were they who heard and
rebelled? Were they not all those
Moses led out of Egypt?
14. Testing & Stretching
Hebrews 3:17 And with whom was he angry
for forty years? Was it not with those who
sinned, whose bodies perished in the
wilderness? 18 And to whom did God
swear that they would never enter his rest
if not to those who disobeyed? 19 So we
see that they were not able to enter,
because of their unbelief.
15. And so it starts.
“Embrace the Wilderness, knowing the wealth of who you
are to become will only be found in the Desert Places.”
