This document discusses the importance of prayer and making the most of opportunities. It contains multiple passages from the Bible about praying for opportunities to spread God's message. It encourages praying for open doors to share the gospel and making the most of every opportunity through showing grace to others, even those who may not deserve it. Finding and bringing opportunities for the gospel is presented as something Christians should pray for.

Defend Your Faith Lesson #5 - The Problem with HellNeal Mathis
This is the fifth lesson in our series Defend Your Faith - A Study in Christian Evidences. This presentation accompanied the lesson discussing the problem many people have with the Biblical view of Hell.
The biblical basis for our faith in God actually starts before time started and God has provided all we need for powerful, resilient, overcoming faith to deal with any challenge.
Contentment is an elusive pursuit and we chase after things that we hope would make us happy only to find that it doesn’t last. The message highlights that contentment is an inner assurance of God’s goodness that produces joy and gratitude despite the external circumstances. Lessons and principles from Paul’s testimony teaches believers that contentment is a virtue that needs to be learnt. True contentment comes from living a life in the fear of Lord and affirming the supremacy of Christ in our day to day challenges.
Slides covering the spiritual discipline of silence and solitude.

"The New Frontier I speak of is not a set of promises -- it is a set of challenges. It sums up not what I intend to offer the American people, but what I intent to ask of them"

Jesus was the ultimate optimist on prayerGLENN PEASE
This is a study of Jesus being the ultimate optimist on prayer. He said all we have to do is ask, but we have many questions about this absolute promise.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…
5. PRAYING FOR OPPORTUNITIES
COLOSSIANS 4
2 Give a lot of time and effort to
prayer. Always be watchful and
thankful. 3 Pray for us too. Pray that
God will give us an opportunity to
preach our message. Then we can
preach the mystery of Christ. Because
I preached it, I am being held by
chains. 4 Pray that I will preach it
clearly, as I should.
