God's love is made visible through Jesus, not just possible. Real love is shown through attention, affection and sacrifice for others, without words. To know how much God loves you, look at what he sacrificed on the cross at Calvary.
Joy 2.
This passage discusses finding joy through God. It notes that babies smile at their parents because of the love and joy they bring. Similarly, getting to know God better through daily time with Him can be the source of great joy, as He wants to be the cause of our happiness and delight.
Thankful.
The passage encourages keeping the word of Christ dwelling within through teaching and admonishing one another with wisdom, singing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude to God. It suggests that practicing gratitude through starting each day with thanks and ending thankful helps keep one spiritually strong by maintaining an attitude of gratitude.

When we show mercy and forgiveness to others, it also brings freedom to ourselves. God asks us to walk humbly with Him by showing mercy as He has shown mercy to us.

Monthly Khazina-e-Ruhaniyaat Jun’2024 (Vol.15, Issue 2)
The Two Chooses, Part Two.
- 1. THE TWO CHOOSES Part 2 Psalm 1
- 2. A study of any portion of God's Word is profitable, for, it is breathed upon by the Holy Spirit, and it is designed to communicate the love, and instructions of God to mankind. In the Psalms, we find our deepest thoughts expressed, and the answer to those thoughts given.
- 3. Psalm one, sets forth both the character, and lifestyles of the “good” and “evil” man. In contrast to the good man of verses 1-3, the “evil man” is also described in this psalm. Therefore, there is both light and darkness, good and evil, cast, side by side in this first psalm.
- 4. Notice, how verse three ended. It ended with a tree! The Bible almost begins and ends with a tree. Someone has suggested that the heart of the Gospel may be found in the TREE. 1. Adam is found hiding behind a tree. THE TREE OF SIN. 2. Jesus is found upon a tree. THE TREE OF SALVATION. 3. The redeemed, are found living under a tree. THE TREE OF ETERNITY.
- 5. THE SADNESS OF THE UNRIGHTEOUS MAN, VERSES 4-6. Everything the psalmist said about the “righteous person,” is untrue of the wicked one. The better translation reads, “Not so, the wicked.”
- 6. VERSE FOUR. The “ungodly” person is the one who has consciously and deliberately made his choice to reject God. As a result, he has become “like the chaff which the wind drives away.” The wicked person's deeds disappear, for they have no lasting value in God's sight. Chaff, the weightless husks from the grain, is totally useless. Chaff, is easily blown in whatever direction the wind may be blowing. There is no direction to its existence, and it is the judgement of the harvester to get rid of it completely.
- 7. VERSE FIVE. The words, “stand in judgement” in this context probably means the crises, and testing of this life, for the unrighteous person does not have the power to cope with the problems that arise in his daily life. Or because of his total moral irresponsibility, such an individual will not be able to “stand in the judgement.”
- 8. That is, there will be no appeal for him, no defence on which he can stand. This would suggest that his choice of evil over good has been thoughtful considered and accepted. “Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.” This suggests that ungodly people are never comfortable with those who are godly in character, and dedication. They often feel threatened, even though righteous people do not want them to feel that way.
- 9. THE FATE OF EACH MAN, VERSE SIX.
- 10. God divides people into only TWO classes: 1. Those that have accepted Him, and please Him. The good man. 2. Those that have refused Him, and displease Him. The evil man. Only the Lord God, can see into the innermost recesses of the heart of man, and thus He is the only One qualified to pass judgement.
- 11. A. GOD “KNOWS” THE FIRST GROUP. Because, He knows all men everywhere. But this word suggests “intimate knowledge, fellowship, and divine approval.”
- 12. B. BECAUSE OF GOD “KNOWLEDGE.” “The way of the ungodly shall perish.” Perish, is a word that means to go out into nothingness. This is the true picture of a life without God. For it is rootless, fruitless, and worthless.
- 13. CONCLUSION: Are you a “good man” or an “evil man?” Do you know the Saviour and does He know you?
