OF SIN SEPERATES US FROM GOD!
God can’t stand a complainer!
- Complaining is the enemy!
- Describe how sin builds up a wall and
a breakdown of communication
between you and God!
- Stop complaining to man & take your
complaints to God!

9. 3. COMPLAINING LEADS TO OTHER
SINS WHICH CAN ADD UP AND TAKE
YOU FURTHER AWAY FROM GOD!
- Sin leads to lust, which is because we
are unsatisfied and so we lust after what
someone else has.
- Complaining leads to rebellion, passing
judgement, greed, disbelief, and
disobedience.

10. Philippians 2: 14-16

bitterness and depression
These take a heavy toll on our
lives
Others start to shun and avoid
us because of our negativity

12. God doesn’t like a complainer,
and when we complain, there’s a
danger that comes with it. God
may give you what you’re
complaining about, but in the
end it may hurt you more then
help you.

13. 1 Thes. 5:18
Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the
will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
Our brains must be thinking and our mouths
usually moving so something has to be
thought about and be said…rather than
grumbling, be thankful.
Thankfulness is viewing things with the right
perspective. Thankfulness is the right
response to our sovereign God.

14. The next time you’re tempted to complain, ask
yourself, why do I feel like complaining. Is it
because something didn’t go my way or I didn’t
get what I want or felt I was entitled to?
Then immediately practice thanksgiving
instead. Thank the Lord that He is at work in and
through the situation. Thank Him for His
provision and goodness to you.
The more you do this, the more glory the Lord
will receive in your life and the more you will
begin to take large steps toward Christ-likeness.
In the end, your complaining will turn to
rejoicing…

15. Alexander the Great has conquered ‘the whole
world’ at the age of thirty and possess
superhuman powers.

16. The last wishes of Alexander the Great:
On his death bed, Alexander summoned his
generals and told them his 3 ultimate wishes:
1. The best doctors should carry his coffin;
2. The wealth he has accumulated (money, gold,
precious stones) should be scattered along the
procession to the cemetery, and
3. His hands should be let loose, hanging
outside the coffin for all to see.
One of his generals who was surprised by these
unusual requests asked Alexander to explain.

demonstrate that, in the face of death, even the
best doctors in the world have no power to heal.
2. I want the road to be covered with my treasure
so that everybody sees that material wealth

people understand that we come to this world
empty handed and we leave this world empty
handed after the most precious treasure of all is
exhausted, and that is TIME..
