Trumpcare would cut over $800 billion from Medicaid over 10 years which would result in millions of Americans losing their health insurance. It would disproportionately impact the poor, elderly, children and people with pre-existing conditions by allowing states to drop consumer protections and reinstating annual and lifetime spending caps. The plans would also cut taxes for the wealthy by over $600 billion and increase costs for older, poorer and sicker Americans. Repealing the ACA and implementing Trumpcare could worsen health outcomes and access to care for many vulnerable groups.
