Social media has become a mainstay of modern society. Libraries need to have an intentional plan for a consistent presence on social media if they want to connect with patrons in the digital spaces that they inhabit. This workshop will show you what a social media plan looks like and give you some tips and tools to help you begin building a plan for your own library. We’ll also discuss best practices and some pitfalls to avoid so that you walk away well equipped to create a purposeful and effective social media presence regardless of your context.
