Psychology is important to study as it helps us understand who we are and why we act the way we do. As the document explains, everything we do relates to psychology since it examines our characteristics, abilities, and what we can become. Studying psychology benefits students in many ways such as improving communication, building confidence, and enhancing career prospects. It also allows us to better understand ourselves and handle stress and problems in a more positive manner. Key topics in psychology like human development, personality, and learning can help us relate to examples and situations in our own lives. Overall, psychology provides foundations for our lifetime by surrounding us from birth to death and explaining the meanings behind our actions.

Just as a building needs a sturdy foundation to support the structure, you need a solid foundation to support your life.
Personal foundations will naturally vary depending on your circumstances. But they will always include core values, beliefs and highest life priorities supported by standards and behaviors that keep you strong, focused and effective.

We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
3. Why To Study Psychology ?
Is this part of Engineering Course?
What is the importance of Psychology
in our Daily Life..??
4. To know the importance
of Psychology in our
everyday lives we must
First understand what
Psychology is.
5. Everything we do in life is somehow
related to Psychology since it is essentially

not a state of being.
It is a direction,
Not a destination.”
-Carl Rogers
7. Today we may be living
quite stressful lives, filled
with some level
Of Uncertainty and
Unpredictable .
8. Psychology has helped me
personally as an Engineering
Student. I can understand who I
am and look at activities as a
more positive aspects. I have
become more determined to do
the things I will enjoy and study
the different topics in the field of
Engineering. Whenever I have a
problem, I can handle it better
and make decision within my life.
9. Through Psychology we can:
• Improve our communication.
• Build Self-Confidence
• Enrich our careers
• Improve our Memory
• Control our anger
• Get Motivated
• Improve our Leadership Skills
• Get Better Grades
• Become Healthy’
• Become more productive
And most of all we can
• Know Who We Are and What We Are…..
10. The most memorable topics that makes
my self inspired are the topics about
Human Development,
Personality, Motivation,
Intelligence, Learning and
Cognitive Psychology. Because
when my professor discussing it, I can
relate my self in some example and
situations.
11. “Take control of your destiny. Believe in
yourself. Ignore those who try to
discourage you. Avoid negative
sources, people, places, things and
habits. Don't give up and don't give in.
Your life isn't behind you; your memories
are behind you. Your life is always right
here, right now. Seize it! Choose to let
each of your experiences today be a
gateway to an even brighter
tomorrow”

Psychology is a foundation
to ones lifetime,
Because it starts right from
birth and surrounds a person
until his deaths.
14. Every action there is a
meaning that
Psychology can explain.
As the time goes on and
on I know I will learned
many things about
Psychology. Because of
Psychology I learned
many things about
myself. Gradually my
personality was
developed.
15. Today, All I want is to finish my studies with
my chosen course: Engineering;..
Not only for my self but also for my family.
Most of all is my Mother and Father
Because of them I am inspired to study, study,
study, study and study. Engineering
is not easy but with the help of psychology myself
was enlightened about the things I need to do,
for me to survive with my Course and to
become success. I am very thankful because
I encountered Psychology. Thank You Psychology..
17. P-erhaps the greatest talent our minds
S-eize is the ability to cope with pain.
Y-ou encounter the door of sleep, the door of madness,
C-oncurence the door of forgetting and the door of death.
