We tend to shy away from those things we do not understand, do not have a language for. The following is my version of a multimodal, multimedia dictionary of those terms that are being developed and used by educators and learners in this age of learning.
Giant EduGraph -- ACCS09 Talk

With numerous reasons to pursue doctoral education, methods to accomplish it, and kinds of doctorates to be had, research and practice doctoral degrees are increasingly blurred across institutions and their learners. With global inconsistencies increasing, it appears almost fashionable to try to reconceive what doing a doctorate means (Boud & Tennant, 2006; Chiteng Kot & Hendel, 2012; McAlpine & Norton, 2006).
However, many of these studies seek to explore this area from the perspective of the higher education economy, industry, national standards, and disciplinary expectations—sometimes leaving the experiences, needs, and intentions of recent postgraduates to their own devices. This research theorizes the shifting nature of adjunct instructors with research degrees—those alternately known as part-time, contingent, temporary, casual, or non-permanent teachers in higher education—who cannot attain full-time research positions, and proposes a framework to reconceive their roles.
This work problematizes what constitutes researcher education and how those who pursue it often do so regardless of realistic future work opportunities in their areas. The notion of Flexible Academics is developed as an identity to allow the role to be talked about as distinctive from an early career researcher, something different not only by the growing period it may last, but also because of its increasingly permanent possibility.

Social media platforms, especially Twitter, have emerged as networks for real-time news and information where reports, rumours and speculation are challenged, contradicted or corroborated. The characteristics and use of Twitter nourish an always-on, ambient news environment, affecting how individuals interpret and communicate information in meaningful ways. This paper applies research in new literacies to contextualize the interplay between networked communication technologies and journalism. As new forms of communication emerge, journalism seeks to adopt and adapt new affordances that disrupt prevailing norms and principles through a contested process of negotiation. The new literacies of Twitter and similar platforms give rise to tensions between conventional ways of working and new possibilities in reporting, analysing and explaining the news. Social media platforms have evolved from spaces for personal exchanges to environments for real-time news and information, influencing how media organisations respond to breaking news, how journalists go about their reporting and whose voices are heard. The media logic of emerging communications technologies, where knowledge, expertise and authority are networked and distributed, chafe with existing, hierarchical models of journalism. This presentation will discuss how social media are reconfiguring definitions of journalism and professional constructs of the journalist, as media professionals negotiate a hybrid news ecosystem that blurs the line between the public, the private and the corporate.
From research life cycle to networks: The role of the library
Google for "research life cycle" and you'll find a million images. Everyone has their own cycle, not all of them compatible. In this talk I argue that we need to move from a cycle conception of research information flows towards one based on networks. The library has the skills and values to act as a professional guide to this terriroty.
Museums and the Web: Current Issues

The Open Faculty Patchbook is an ongoing collection of stories by post-secondary educators, (mostly college) about their teaching. It was meant to serve as a community collaboration of how-to-teach tips and tricks that can be patched together to form a sort of manual on how to teach.
What it became, however, was a bit different than that. It is a book and it is about teaching. There are a lot of great ideas on how to go about your teaching. That is for sure. There are some gaps. But what it is more than anything, I think, is an warm invitation to enter the community of open educators.

The First Amendment

First Amendment Rights

Constitutional amendments
The Constitution can be amended to change or add to it through the amendment process. An amendment must be proposed by two-thirds of Congress or through a convention called for by two-thirds of the states, and then ratified by three-fourths of state legislatures. There have been 27 amendments to the Constitution, including the Bill of Rights which protects civil liberties, and other important amendments dealing with slavery, citizenship rights, voting rights, and privacy.

El informe CPPI utiliza dos enfoques metodológicos diferentes para calcular la clasificación del índice: uno administrativo o técnico y otro estadístico, basado en análisis factorial (FA). Según los autores, esta dualidad pretende asegurar una clasificación que refleje con precisión el rendimiento real del puerto, a la vez que sea estadísticamente sólida. En esta edición del informe CPPI 2023, se han empleado los mismos enfoques metodológicos y se ha aplicado un método de agregación de clasificaciones para combinar los resultados de ambos enfoques y obtener una clasificación agregada.
