Professional basketball players need to be in top shape to be at their
peak performance on the court. They have specific workout routines,
and nutritionist-approved diet plans to ensure that they're at their
best. Most players consume meals that are high in carbs and low in
fat. If you want to train and eat like a pro baller, I'll list down some of
the foods you need to include in your diet.

Whole grain cereal
If you're used to having a bowl of sugary cereal every morning or
during snack time, you might need to swap good ol' Cheerios for a
bowl of whole grain cereals. Aside from having high-fiber, these
cereals are also good for sustaining energy levels during the first
half of the day. Of course, you also have to pair your cereal with low-
fat milk.
Salmon
Pro basketball players need high levels of protein to keep them
energized throughout the day. Aside from chicken, turkey, and tuna,
an excellent source of protein is salmon. It's also a good source of
Omega-3 fatty acids and potassium. And for the players who might

need to lose weight, this fish allows them to get rid of the unwanted
pounds faster.

Greek yogurt with fruits and nuts
This is a healthy snack especially if you're craving for a sweet and
crunchy treat. Since basketball players can't really indulge in
unhealthy treats like candies and chocolates all the time, they get rid
of their cravings by consuming fruits. Instead of chips and salty
snacks, they opt for nuts like almonds and walnuts. Get a power-
packed snack in the middle of the day with this combo.
Healthy meals don't have to be bland. These three items can be
prepared in a way that doesn't scrimp on flavor.
