Rimavská Sobota is a district town located in the Slovenské Rudohorie mountains in central Slovakia. Points of interest include the Roman Catholic Church with a valuable painting, several other churches, the District House formerly a hotel, and the Gemer-Malohont Museum housed in a former artillery barracks.
