ASDA’A Burson-Marsteller, the Middle East’s leading public relations consultancy, today released the seventh edition of The Arab Youth Survey. This annual initiative provides reliable data and insights into the attitudes and aspirations of the region’s 200 million-strong youth population. International polling firm Penn Schoen Berland (PSB) conducted 3,500 face-to-face interviews, the largest survey to date, with exclusively Arab national men and women aged 18-24 in the six Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries of the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain; Iraq, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Palestine, Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria and Yemen. The interviews were conducted from January 20 to February 12, 2015.
Participants were interviewed in-depth about subjects ranging from the political to the personal. Topics explored included their concerns and aspirations, their views on the economy and the impact of the Arab Spring, their media consumption habits, attitudes towards traditional values and the people who influence them. Findings from this year’s survey reveal opinions on economy and culture, two of the biggest obstacles facing the Arab region, and uncertainty whether democracy could ever work in the Middle East.
The aim of this annual survey is to present evidence-based insights into the attitudes of Arab youth, providing public and private sector organizations with data and analysis to inform their decision-making and policy formation.
The document discusses business process modeling notation (BPMN) which is an OMG standard for visually representing business processes. It provides an overview of BPMN concepts including flow elements, artifacts, pools and lanes. As an example, it shows a basic order management process diagram. Burson-Marsteller and Penn Schoen Berland (PSB), launched the seventh consecutive The Atlantic/Aspen Institute survey, an exclusive poll unveiling Americans’ views on the direction of their country. The quantitative survey collected insights from 1,988 members of the general population and 513 broad elites in the U.S. Most notably, this year’s survey found that Americans are overwhelmingly optimistic about their personal lives and ability to live the “American Dream,” even though three fourths are worried the Dream is suffering overall.
The document summarizes a presentation by Monica Bulger about the challenges of online research. It discusses how students spent significant time modifying search terms and viewing URLs but cited few in their essays. While information access is widespread, using information effectively requires digital literacy skills like evaluating reliability and relevance. Students may benefit from guidance to improve search practices and integrate high-quality sources.
This document discusses trends in internet and mobile data usage in South Africa. It notes that internet users grew 25% from 2010 to 2011, and are forecast to reach 10 million users by 2012. Mobile data revenue was up 19.3% year-on-year for one mobile provider, while data prices dropped 22%. The number of active data users and smartphones also increased significantly from 2011 to 2012. It argues that lower mobile termination rates forced by regulators in other African countries have led to cheaper mobile prices compared to South Africa.

This document discusses how CRM (customer relationship management) and e-marketing are more effective when used together. It argues that e-marketing needs CRM to send targeted, personalized messages based on customer insights and data. Meanwhile, CRM benefits from e-marketing by having a way to automatically market to customers and feed new data back into CRM to keep the customer profiles up-to-date. The best approach is to integrate the two systems fully so marketing activities can drive sales and sales activities can inform marketing, creating a continuous feedback loop that qualifies leads and helps close more deals.
