The passive voice is used when we want to give more importance to the action and 
who has not done. 
To transform an active sentence to passive you consider the following points: 
The object of the active sentence becomes the subject of passive. 
The main verb of the auxiliary "to be" is replaced at the same time along the main 
verb participle. 
The subject of the main clause complement agent becomes passive.
He is very well known by them. (Él es muy conocido por ellos). 
The room was painted by her. (La habitación fue pintada por ella). 
The car was bought by his father. (El carro fue comprado por su padre). 
That show was given by the actress. (El show fue dado por la actriz). 
The dinner was made by Melanie. (La comida fue hecha por Melanie). 
The computer was fixed by the engineer. (La computadora fue arreglada por el ingeniero). 
Those grades were changed by a cheater. (Esas calificaciones fueron cambiadas por un 
tramposo). 
That bag was bought by Joan. (Ese bolso fue comprado por Joan). 
Monique was punched by the robber. (Monique fue golpeada por el ladrón).
Transformation 
1. The direct object of the active voice becomes the subject of the passive. 
2. The subject of the passive becomes the complement agent performing 
the action.
