4. Similarities of the protagonists of the
film
Santiago Cuban fisher
man started his journey
on the as he battles a
Marlin.
Pi started journey out at
sea on a boat with many
foreign animal, most
important Bengal tiger.
5. Santiago has got a company of little boy manolin, while pi loses
all human companions.
Old man in the film is a cuban fisherman who has gone sea 84
days without catch and on 85 day out he finally hooks a huge
fish marline.
As well as, pi servives 227 days after a shipwreck while started
life with bengal tiger.
For three days and night he battles the fish , which is portrayed
in the film as a trial of mental and physical courage that
become a ultimate test for him of his worth as a man.
Pi stranded for numerous days where he is faced many
struggles to stay alive.
Santiago purpose of the journey is marlin , where Pi purpose of
the journey migration.
There's christian fundamentalism in the film adaptation of The
old man and The sea where in the Life of Pi , the hero belives in
the universal religion of humanity .

Religious symbolism is used in The Old Man and The Sea —
Santiago at the end falls on the bed with the skeleton of Marlin
in a christ like position, and after sea torments Pi is on the sea
shore and tiger is going to it's habitat.
