Design assessment criteria

 Criterion A Inquiring and analysing Maximum 8
 Criterion B Developing ideas Maximum 8

 Criterion C Creating the solution Maximum 8
 Criterion D Evaluating Maximum 8
Criterio A: Indagación y análisis

 5. citar dichas fuentes apropiadamente
Identify the problem
Explain the problem you hope to solve through
  your designing and making.

Explore many aspects of the problem, for example:
• Whose problem is it? (Identify the client/target market.)
• Where is the problem occurring? (Identify the situation.)
• What is the cause of the problem? • What effect is it having?
Evaluate the importance of the problem for life ,
   society or the environment .

Outline a Design Brief
Outline a broad statement of how you could solve the problem
Develop the brief
 the research questions that need to be answered to solve the problem.

*What do I need to know
to find a solution to my problem?
Organizing your first thoughts:

Brainstorming using the 4 P’s method: P eople

                                   P rocesses IDEAS P laces

                                              P roducts
People Places
 List all the people you  List all the places you
need to talk to need to visit
 Ask experts  Go to the place you are
 Write e-mails designing for, take
 Make interviews measurements,
                                photographs.
Products  Visit local shops, fairs,
                                museums, etc
 List all the similar
  products you need to look
  at Processes
 Look at the work of  List all of the materials
famous designers and processes you need
 Investigate the influence to investigate
  of different cultures in
  design
Product analysis
 Product design analysis means studying how well a product
    does its job.

FUNCTION

What is the function and purpose of the product? How does it work?
How well does the product do its job compared with other similar products?

MARKET

Who would buy this product? What is the target market it is aimed at?
Why would they buy it? What are their needs?

ERGONOMICS

Is the product comfortable to use? Is it easy to lift, carry, store, etc?
Are there any ways in which these characteristics could be improved?
Are there any safety considerations? Is it safe to use?

    sistemas y entornos .
