The major trauma centre at St Mary's
Hospital saw over 2000 attendances in
the year 2012-13
498 of these were only aged 11-25

Over 300 additional non major trauma cases had less significant
injuries but were still caused by serious acts of violence

bringing in specialist youth
workers from the charity Redthread to
help guide vulnerable young people
towards safer lifestyles
