The document describes the journey of Ostdeutscher Sparkassenverband (OSV), a German savings bank association, to become a connected enterprise from 2012 to 2016. OSV represented 45 savings banks and had around 250 employees. It aimed to strengthen its role as a consulting partner for member banks. Over the four years, OSV transitioned from old note databases and email to a new social collaboration platform to improve knowledge management, collaboration and communication both internally and externally. This included engaging employees through various training and promotional activities to increase active usage from around 40,000 employees to over 8,000.
