Role of ICT in Shaping the Future of Pakistani Higher Education SystemZaffar Ahmed Shaikh
This study examined the challenges faced by the Pakistani higher education system (HES) in integrating information and communication technology (ICT); it aimed at understanding ICT needs, measuring the increase in ICT demand, determining the relationship between ICT and HES performance, and understanding how the HES copes with the challenges of implementing ICT. The results of these analyses were used as the basis to suggest solutions. The normative Delphi method was applied to evaluate a sample of 30 HES experts randomly selected from urban and rural areas of Pakistan by administering a literature-based 35-item questionnaire. The
experts revealed significant gaps in ICT demand and supply, ICT use, ICT-based higher education problems, and reasons for delays in ICT integration and provided suggestions for developing ICT-driven HES in Pakistan. This
study’s findings suggest that an effective and robust HES ICT policy could greatly improve the status of the Pakistani knowledge-based economy, thus helping establish ICT policy and planning, administration, and integration at the higher education level.

Rural development is main aspect to develop a rustic India as over 50 % population lives in rural outskirts. The scenario isn't different at national level. This is often the most reason that the majority of the event schemes prepared to stay such facts as a main focus. An assessment for rural Rajasthan is to induce prepare the youths of generative and skilled on a contemporary parameter of livelihood and employment. The most target of such systematic preparation is to synchronically employ the functioning populace within the unorganized perimeters. Unorganized sector or grey economy bestows around 50 percent of the Rajasthan's GDP. In fact, it employs workers in, unpaid family work, micro and small enterprises, casual labour and home-based work on an honest scale. Within the same context, it also engages migrant labourers, farmers of lean agriculture season and more precisely drop-out of rural youth from schools. As per Indian Staffing Federation Report (2019), Period of 2015 to 2018, Skill India Mission contribution is 9.3 Lacs formal workforce and 70 thousand recruitments (Rituparna Chakraborty, 2019). If we focus from the last couple of years, the Indian economy has attestation of a structural transformation from agrarian process to manufacturing and various service-oriented activities. Similarly, this also made impact on the economy of Rajasthan. Rural development is facing a paradoxical situation where the youth of the rural areas are leaving the agrarian work and moving into the labour market for searching the jobs; on the opposite hand, industries are complaining of unavailability of appropriately and contemporary skilled manpower. This paradox reflects the criticality of rural development in context of need identification, to boost the employability of the growing young population and also to gear-up the economy to understand the target of faster and inclusive growth with innovative CSR contribution.

With the growing recognition of cooperatives as a vibrant and viable economic alternative to alleviate hardship, it does appear that members’ needs satisfaction is yet to be met. This study, therefore, examined the effect of cooperative membership on needs satisfaction among staff of tertiary institutions in Anambra State, Nigeria. The population of study and sample size which was generated using the Taro Yamane formula was 6,647 and 377 cooperative members respectively. A multi stage sampling technique was used in selecting study participants. Data were sourced from a primary source. The generated data were presented and analyzed using descriptive statistics. The study hypothesis was tested using regression analysis. The findings revealed that 93 of the variation in physical needs of members is caused by the length of cooperative membership and frequency of cooperative patronage at a 5 level of significance. This study concluded that the length of cooperative membership and frequency of patronage enhances the actualization of the physical needs of members. Therefore, it was recommended among others that the cooperative societies should continue to strive in ensuring that members’ needs are reasonably met. In doing this, the cooperatives should possibly adopt a scale of preference approach in tackling members need. Tele Health The Improvement Process of Healthcare among Elderly during the CO...YogeshIJTSRD
In the current COVID 19 pandemic, where social distance is the norm and hospitals have turned into infection hotspots, its vital for health care providers to figure out how to provide care to the elderly while limiting their exposure to healthcare environments. In light of the ongoing pandemic, it has been suggested that older people be replaced by virtual visits and told to attend to the doctor right away. Telehealth based therapies have emerged as viable options for overcoming these geriatric care delivery roadblocks. Even in the most remote regions, technological developments have solved the challenge of telehealth access. Teleconsultation is becoming a realistic option for the elderly and health care practitioners in this age of information technology. Despite the fact that the difficulties we face are complex and hence cannot be addressed with a single, all encompassing solution, telemedicine and tele health based interventions appear to hold promise in complementing our efforts in this area. In terms of providing quality treatment without having to relocate, telehealth is useful for both the elderly and healthcare providers. Organizations worldwide are showing increasing interest in knowledge management practices to address the contemporary challenges of today’s digital age. Knowledge is becoming a critical core asset to sustain competitive advantage and as a vehicle for continuous improvement and innovation. However, most of the developments in the knowledge management field are driven by international organizations or private commercial companies. Considering the impact of knowledge management practices, government organizations have the potential for significant improvements in performance, transformation, and the development of a more responsive citizen-centric government.
This article has two objectives: The first is to provide an overview of knowledge management and highlight the importance of this field of practice, and the second is to provide a case study of the successful implementation of knowledge management in a federal government organization in the United Arab Emirates. This article outlines the adopted approach and framework and elaborates on each of the implemented components. The presented case study and lessons learned are benchmarks for best practices and contribute to the existing experimental cases. This, in turn, should help organizations and researchers to better understand how public sector government organizations are perceiving and practicing knowledge management, which should enable them to reflect and propose improvements.

Can Technological, Organizational and Individual Antecedents Together Optimiz...Dr. Amarjeet Singh
Faculty members’ are the intellectual leader for
developing societies. It is believed that the new knowledge
is created and transferred to the people in the Universities.
Although, relatively still an infancy field of research,
studies in Knowledge Management (KM) and Knowledge
Sharing (KS) continue to be on the boost. Knowledge
Sharing and Innovation are also whispered to be interrelated and could influence organizational performance.
Studies show that individual’s knowledge does not renovate
simply into institutional knowledge even with the use of
knowledge depository. Furthermore, it is also believed that
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) can
enhance knowledge sharing with the integration of
individual behaviour and diverse organizational factors. As
a comparatively new field of research, studies on
knowledge sharing based on Information Systems (IS) in
developed countries is also on the increase. Unfortunately,
knowledge sharing research in the higher academic
institutions in developing countries were mostly found to be
given trivial considerations. Therefore, the aim of this
study is to investigate whether the technological,
organizational and individual factors together can help
increase Knowledge Sharing in HEIs and contribute it in
augmenting organizational performance in developing
countries. The methodology of this study was
subjective/argumentative i.e., idea generation in
Information Systems (IS). The findings of the study reveal
that utilizing the technological, organizational and
individual antecedents together for organizational
knowledge sharing can augment overall organizational
performance. The study explored the antecedents that
increased innovation in organizations. These were the
individual intention, attitude, self-efficacy for training and
development, subjective norm, organizational trust,
leadership, organizational rewards, organizational culture,
social network, and use of ICT. It also reveals that KS
could be increased in the organizations utilizing selecting
and initiating proper antecedents for practicing KS. We
desire to extend this study to further an empirical
investigation on the same issue to validate the research
results.
University Undergraduates’ ratings of 21st century transferable competences n...iosrjce
The study investigated undergraduates’ ratings of 21st century transferable competences necessary
for their career development as well as their current proficiency level in the competences. Three hundred and
forty-six final year students (2014/2015 session) drawn in clusters from Science, Technology, Engineering and
Mathematics (STEM) and Business/Management inclined disciplines in Michael Okpara University of
Agriculture Umudike and Abia State University Uturu were used for the study. The study adopted a descriptive
survey design. The Undergraduates’ 21st Century Transferable Competences Scale (U21S) consisting of 18
Likert-type items was used for data collection. Four research questions and two hypotheses guided the survey.
Mean and Standard deviation were used to answer the research questions while t-test was used to test the
hypotheses. Results of the study showed that University undergraduates unanimously agree that they require
21st century competencies for their initial employment and that their proficiency level in several transferable
competences necessary for their career development is deficient. The result also showed that significant
differences did not exist between undergraduates of STEM-inclined and Business/Management-inclined
disciplines in their ratings of 21st century competences required for their initial employment as well as between
male and female undergraduates. Based on the findings of the study, it is recommended that universities update
their curriculum to include activities that will ensure their graduates are properly equipped with competences
needed for their career development.

A simple random sampling was used in selecting 150 students from each of the institutions sampled making a total of 300 respondents. Data was collected with the use of questionnaire which was subjected to validity and reliability test. The mean and ANOVA was used in establishing the correlation between the variables in the study. The researcher accepts a result if the average mean is above 2.6 which is on the high side and shows a significant relationship. The researchers also reject a result if the average mean is below 2.5 which is on the low side and shows no significant relationship. Based on the findings of this study, it is recommended that: institutions and their management should have more ICT training centers on campus, the management of the institutions should urgently make sure ICT facilities are available for students’ use, the students should be given assignments, course project, group work, which will involve sourcing for information from the internet, lecturers should encourage students to organize mini seminars for presentation of assignments through the use of power point among others.

Downcast Enrollments: A Desperate Need of Holistic Marketing for Technical Ed...Prashant Mahajan
Modern history has shown that only those countries, which could acquire capability to develop and apply science and technology, have found great success to grow their wealth and improve living conditions of their population. Technical education in India contributes a major share to the overall education system and plays a vital role in the social and economic development of the nation. There is a rapid growth of technical education in last decade in terms of the no. of institutes and intake capacity in India, however, institutes failed to attract enrollments which observed noticeable gap in between the actual no. of enrollments and intake capacity. In the year 2015-16, 46% of seats were vacant in Technical Education in India. The purpose of this paper is to highlight holistic marketing approach with promotion mix on diversified enrollments to motivate enrollments in selecting institute of Technical education.

Can Technological, Organizational and Individual Antecedents Together Optimiz...Dr. Amarjeet Singh
Faculty members’ are the intellectual leader for
developing societies. It is believed that the new knowledge
is created and transferred to the people in the Universities.
Although, relatively still an infancy field of research,
studies in Knowledge Management (KM) and Knowledge
Sharing (KS) continue to be on the boost. Knowledge
Sharing and Innovation are also whispered to be interrelated and could influence organizational performance.
Studies show that individual’s knowledge does not renovate
simply into institutional knowledge even with the use of
knowledge depository. Furthermore, it is also believed that
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) can
enhance knowledge sharing with the integration of
individual behaviour and diverse organizational factors. As
a comparatively new field of research, studies on
knowledge sharing based on Information Systems (IS) in
developed countries is also on the increase. Unfortunately,
knowledge sharing research in the higher academic
institutions in developing countries were mostly found to be
given trivial considerations. Therefore, the aim of this
study is to investigate whether the technological,
organizational and individual factors together can help
increase Knowledge Sharing in HEIs and contribute it in
augmenting organizational performance in developing
countries. The methodology of this study was
subjective/argumentative i.e., idea generation in
Information Systems (IS). The findings of the study reveal
that utilizing the technological, organizational and
individual antecedents together for organizational
knowledge sharing can augment overall organizational
performance. The study explored the antecedents that
increased innovation in organizations. These were the
individual intention, attitude, self-efficacy for training and
development, subjective norm, organizational trust,
leadership, organizational rewards, organizational culture,
social network, and use of ICT. It also reveals that KS
could be increased in the organizations utilizing selecting
and initiating proper antecedents for practicing KS. We
desire to extend this study to further an empirical
investigation on the same issue to validate the research
results.
University Undergraduates’ ratings of 21st century transferable competences n...iosrjce
The study investigated undergraduates’ ratings of 21st century transferable competences necessary
for their career development as well as their current proficiency level in the competences. Three hundred and
forty-six final year students (2014/2015 session) drawn in clusters from Science, Technology, Engineering and
Mathematics (STEM) and Business/Management inclined disciplines in Michael Okpara University of
Agriculture Umudike and Abia State University Uturu were used for the study. The study adopted a descriptive
survey design. The Undergraduates’ 21st Century Transferable Competences Scale (U21S) consisting of 18
Likert-type items was used for data collection. Four research questions and two hypotheses guided the survey.
Mean and Standard deviation were used to answer the research questions while t-test was used to test the
hypotheses. Results of the study showed that University undergraduates unanimously agree that they require
21st century competencies for their initial employment and that their proficiency level in several transferable
competences necessary for their career development is deficient. The result also showed that significant
differences did not exist between undergraduates of STEM-inclined and Business/Management-inclined
disciplines in their ratings of 21st century competences required for their initial employment as well as between
male and female undergraduates. Based on the findings of the study, it is recommended that universities update
their curriculum to include activities that will ensure their graduates are properly equipped with competences
needed for their career development.

INNOVATION AS PANACEA FOR INDIA TO BECOME A GLOBAL ECONOMIC POWER UNDER INDUS...IAEME Publication
India is known for its strength and accomplishments on the Information and Technology (IT) front and she has greater role to play in the current phase of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0). The Indian IT sector is the largest reservoir of professionally trained manpower in the world, where about one crore IT professionals are being outsourced by the United States of America and Europe. India, albeit, ranks 52 in Global Innovation Index (GII- 2019), but in ICT services export, she ranks first in the world. Leveraging information and technology potential to gain global economic power may be the best strategy for India. Innovation as an economic instrument assumes importance, which is a case in point here, as panacea (ultimate solution) to elevate India as one of the global economic powers in the future. In this milieu, the Government of India through the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) has initiated an institutional measure to promote innovation, research and development, entrepreneurship and career by formation of hubs in select Indian universities since March 2019. This paper aims to present the experience of a state university in implementing the MHRD sponsored aforesaid program in the back drop of a detailed discussion on promotion of innovative entrepreneurs.

It is time we recognize that learning, technology, and workforce development are experiencing a global convergence. In today’s technology-driven world, knowledge and information are growing exponentially. As globalization and advancements in technology reshape society, they also generate an accelerated pace of change that is outpacing humans’ ability to adapt. This requires new approaches to how we upskill and reskill learners to better meet the demands of today and the future.
Technological innovations are altering the lives of the poor, rich, nation’s economics, and education globally. Hence, Ghana’s commitment to formulate the ICT for Accelerated Development (ICT4AD) Policy in 2003 to achieve the transformative vision of competing favorably in the knowledge economy in addition to the introduction of ICT-related subjects in the Ghanaian schools to develop the human resources for indigenous knowledge development is laudable. However, instructional technologists feared that the Ghanaian ICT curriculum from basic to tertiary level might be too generic and lacking curriculum-specific integration literacy, thereby likely to widen the digital divide. To support Ghana’s vision for ICT integration into higher education lessons, the current study sought to predict university graduates’ integration literacy from cognitive constructs using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) approach. The measurements and structural model fit indices were tested with SmartPLS Version 3. The results showed that students’’ goal-setting and need for achievement significantly predicted over 15% (R2 = .155) of ICT integrate skills. However, self-efficacy was not an important predictor (t = 1.74, p > .05) for students ICT integration literacy in the Ghanaian setting. We concluded that whilst graduates’ goal-setting and need for achievement traits motivate them to acquire technology skills in the Ghanaian public universities, certainly, 85% of latent variables such as pedagogy, lecturers’ computer integration competencies, and access remain unaccounted for per our structural model. The study recommends that career counsellors could design cognitive interventions to improve students’ self-efficacy traits and educational administrators should encourage formative assessment by ICT instructors in their schools to enhance skills developments.
ENHANCING CULTURAL INTELLIGENCE AND DIGITAL LITERACY IN ACCOUNTING EDUCATION:...ijejournal
Recent literature has advocated for the use of project based learning to engage students in active learning. This study examines how students’ learning is enhanced through an overseas project-based learning (PBL) programme at a Singapore University (UNIS), called the UNIS-XO pedagogy. Specifically, this study provides a framework through which students, faculty members, and industry partner can collaborate through consulting programs with the aim to provide feasible recommendations to the clients. Our findings suggest that an experiential PBL with an overseas client is an important learning experience through which students can strengthen their digital literacy as well as cross-cultural competency to make them more futureready for their work.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.
A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

3. BACKGROUND TO THE STUDY
Universally, technological advancement proofs that people now live in the virtual world of
the ICT using it comprehensively in every walk of life. It helps in such a way that the
amalgamation of communication technology and information technology can help people
in all their endeavors (Alexander, 2013; Olokundun, Hezekiah, Stephen & Fred; 2014).
Though, entrepreneurial activity concerns with the combination of factors of production
such as land, labour and capital to produce goods or services and entrepreneurs are the
agents who combine the other resources with a mission to create a successful business
venture. They are also the risk-bearer as the business venture has no guarantee of profit. It
has been established that entrepreneurs possess the characteristics such as innovative and
imaginative (Oakey, 2003; Selvarany & Venusamy, 2015).
The conception and progress of technopreneurship is subject to various issues. According
to Okorie, Kwa, Olusunle, Akinyanmi and Momoh (2014), the process of organizational
creativity is a process of mainstreaming innovation or continually finding important
corporate problems, solving those problems, and, implementing the solutions to satisfy
the global market which is referred to as Technopreneurship.
4. BACKGROUND TO THE STUDY
Technopreneurs are entrepreneurs who are into the core businesses involving technology
based industries. They make use of technology to come up with innovative products
through the process of commercialization. Potential technopreneurs must be equipped
with both technical and business skills. Technopreneurs continually go through an organic
process of constant improvement and always try to redefine our dynamic digital economy.
The term technopreneurs can therefore be referred to the technical entrepreneurs or
technology-based entrepreneurs who combine the factors of production and their
entrepreneurial skills with technology to set up new business. Technopreneurship is, by a
large part, still entrepreneurship. The difference is that technopreneurship is either
involved in delivering an innovative hi-tech product (e.g. Zenox, Intel) or makes use of hi-
tech in an innovative way to deliver its product to the consumer (e.g. Jumia, Konga, ebay,
Olx).
5. BACKGROUND TO THE STUDY
In ASEAN (Association of South East Asian Nations) block, numerous creativities have been
started by various governments to enhance the development of entrepreneurs. For
instance, Singapore has cultivated technopreneurship as a social drive that implies a vital
shift in orientations by providing favorable conditions (such as robust education system,
internet access and infrastructure) to help blossom technopreneurship (Foo & Foo, 2000).
Likewise, Malaysian government has shown significant progress in helping technopreneurs
develop innovative concepts and enhance their knowledge (Yunos, 2002). Other countries
that have adopted technology to nurture new business include India and Brazil. They have
created sound technopreneurs and brought positive impact to the country’s improvement
as a whole (Burnett, 2000; Lalkaka, 2002).
In light of recent events in the Nigerian macroeconomic environment, small and medium
entrepreneurships (SMEs) have compelling growth potential and like other emerging
economies, they are likely to constitute a significant portion of Gross Domestic Product
(GDP) in the near future. Therefore, technopreneurship in Nigeria requires tertiary and
professional development programs and training to produce strategic thinkers who will
have the skills to succeed in a dynamic global environment.
6. PROBLEM STATEMENT
According to a report released by Brookings Institution in June 2018 based on the World
Poverty Clock, Nigeria was declared the poverty capital of the world. It was revealed that the
country has 87 million “extremely poor” people, indicating that it has overtaken India, which
previously occupied the top position. The Asian country, the fastest growing major economy in
the world, is growing economically at 7.3% percent. According to World Bank projections, India
has now reduced its population of the extremely poor to 73 million through technology and
innovations.
With the number of Nigerians falling to extreme poverty growing by six people every minute, it
is said that the number is estimated to have hit 91.6 million, in view of the latest figures
released in February 2019. In support of this development, National Bureau of Statistics (NBS)
confirmed that Nigerian economy is not expanding at the rate that can create job opportunities
for the unemployed, which they put at 21 million as of the second quarter of 2018 (Punch
Newspaper, March 7, 2019).
Despite the fact that entrepreneurship begins at home and in school and is nurtured by tutors,
there is need to promote an entrepreneurial spirit at all levels of the society and at all levels of
the academia to reduce employment rate. Strategic direction and decision making processes are
getting demanding and complex. This requires methodology that can transform professionals
and even students into creative, innovative, and visionary leaders who understand the
importance of technopreneurship in a changing global environment (Olokundun, Hezekiah,
Stephen & Fred, 2014; Tung , 2011).
7. PROBLEM STATEMENT
Meanwhile, studies indicate that there are some factors that contribute to the success of
technopreneurs. For instance, Kamarudin and Sajilan (2013) looked at the barriers to the
success of animation technopreneurship and possible factors that may well contribute to the
success of this field of enterprise. 31 companies were identified as actively producing
animated TV series or feature films in Malaysia.
Rosly, Junid, Lajin and Rahim (2015) examined the level of creativity of science and
technology (S&T) cluster students’ of University Technology Mara (UiTM) and how it affect
them in terms of technopreneurship intention using quantitative approach. Their study
found that creativity does impact one’s entrepreneurial intention and should be considered
as part of the overall analysis in identifying one’s entrepreneurial competencies.
In the same vein, Mursityo, Astuti and Suharsono (2017) investigates whether information
technology students’ participation within factors such as desirability and feasibility affects
creativity and technopreneurship intentions before or after their graduation in Brawijaya
University in Indonesia. Their findings offer empirical evidence on the importance of
desirability and feasibility of the relationship between creativity and technopreneurship
intentions.
8. PROBLEM STATEMENT
Theoretically, social network and human capital aspect of resource-based theory of
entrepreneurship offers a better explanation on how entrepreneurship can be embraced
(Clausen, 2006; Shane & Eckhardt, 2003).
First, social network theory postulates that entrepreneurs are fixed in a larger social
network structure that creates a significant proportion of their opening structure. It implies
that an individual may have the ability wherewithal to identify that a given entrepreneurial
break exist, but might lack the social contacts to transform the chance into a business start
up. Therefore, access to a larger social link might help to overcome this problem.
Second, human capital entrepreneurship theory assumes that entrepreneurship is hinged
on two factors (education and experience). Specifically, it is believed that the knowledge
acquired via education and experience signifies a resource that is heterogeneously
disseminated across individuals and in effect essential to understanding variances in
business opportunity identification and utilization (Anderson & Miller, 2003; Davidson &
Honing, 2003).
In view of the foregoing, the current study focused on the impact of technopreneurship
education on business intention among undergraduate students in Kwara state: implication
for stakeholders.

Honing, 2003; Kim, Aldrich & Keister, 2003; Korunka et al, 2003; Shane & Venkataraman,
2000).

15. DATA PRESENTATION
- Analysis of PLS-SEM Results
- The PLS-SEM (Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling) has become a well-
known technique of estimating path models with a particular reference to latent variables
and their relationships.
- Thus, this section explains steps on how to stipulate and estimate path models by using
PLS-SEM (Henseler, Ringle & Sinkovics, 2009). According to Hair et al., (2014), there are
two ways in which path models can be processed, they are: assessment of measurement
model, and assessment of structural model.

20. DATA PRESENTATION
- Structural Model Assessment
- After assessing the psychometric properties of the measurement model, the next step is
to assess the properties contained in the structural model of the study so that the
significance of the model can be obtained (Henseler et al., 2009).
- However, before determining the structural model, there is need for adequate
bootstrapping of the model. Thus, we performed bootstrapping by using 1000 values to
estimate the sample of 306 cases with the use of PLS. The result of the bootstrapping is
given in the next slide.

24. Discussion of Findings
First, there is high awareness on students’ (87.7%) perceived level of
entrepreneurship course. It implies that students are aware of
entrepreneurship course that were introduced in their institutions.
Second, finding revealed that most of the students (86.6%) are aware of
online material on technopreneurship. It means that students explore
various online materials that discussed business opportunities.
Third, regarding the students’ perceived level of social media, finding
shows that majority of the students (98.3 %%) are aware of how social
media (e.g., facebook, twitter, linkedin, whatsapp, skype, youtube, gmail,
instagram, etc) can be used for various types of business.
25. Discussion of Findings
The foregoing findings correlate with the study of Rosly et al., (2015)
who found that creativity does impact one’s business intention and
should be considered as part of the overall analysis in ascertaining one’s
entrepreneurial proficiencies.
The second research objective of the study is to examine the relationship
between technopreneurship education and business intention. In order
to achieve the second research objective, three hypotheses were
formulated and tested through the use of PLS software.
26. Discussion of Findings
The first hypothesis postulates that there was no significant relationship
between students’ entrepreneurship course and business intention. The
PLS path model results indicate that students’ involvement in
entrepreneurship course have impact on business intention. The current
finding is in congruent with resource based -human capital theory of
entrepreneurship which proposes that entrepreneurship can be
understood from two underlying perspectives, namely education and
experience (Clausen, 2006; Shane & Eckhardt, 2003).
27. Discussion of Findings
The second hypothesis postulates that there was no significant
relationship between students’ use of online material and business
intention. PLS path model results (see Table 5) show that students’ use of
online material influenced their business intention. This is in agreement
with the study of Mursityo, Astuti and Suharsono (2017) who investigated
the relationship between ICT and students’ participation (within factors
such as desirability and feasibility affects creativity) and technopreneurship
intentions in Brawijaya University in Indonesia.
28. Discussion of Findings
The third hypothesis postulates that there was no significant
relationship between students’ use of social media and business
intention. The PLS path model results indicate relationship between
students’ use of social media and business intention. Precisely, it implies
that students who use social media (e.g. facebook, whatsapp, twitter,
youtube etc) increase their interest in business. The finding is similar to
the one investigated by Suzuki et al. (2002) in Japan and Silicon Valley,
which established that the two countries have adopted advanced
technology in growing their businesses.
29. Concluding Remarks
Taken the findings of the study together, it can be said that the two
research objectives have been achieved. Thus, it can be concluded
that a strong association between the three technopreneurship
education dimensions (entrepreneurship course, online material and
social media) and business intention among undergraduate students
in Kwara State has been established.
