 WHO IS A PR?
Public relations (PR) is the way organizations, companies and
individuals communicate with the public and media.
 A PR specialist communicates with the target audience directly or indirectly
through media.
 The aim is to create and maintain a positive image and create a strong
relationship with the audience.
 WHAT IS COMMUNICATION?
 The imparting or exchanging of information or news.
 It means of connection between people or places, in
particular.
 WHY COMMUNICATION IS IMPORTANT
FOR PUBLIC RELATIONS?
 WHAT IS NEW MEDIA?
 New Media’ is a term that describes the emergence of digital,
computerized, interactive communication technologies.
 i.e. Internet, Websites, Chat rooms, e-mail, Social media, etc.
 New media is a broad term in media studies that emerged in the latter part
of the 20th century
 Generally, It describes content available on-demand through the Internet.
