According to researchers, the Earth normally cycles through periods of warming, cooling, and normal temperatures over centuries. However, human activity in recent decades has accelerated the warming cycle by polluting the environment through practices like burning rubbish, dumping waste in waterways, cutting down trees, and emissions from factories, vehicles, and power plants. This pollution is causing problems like ozone layer depletion, drought, climate change, and Arctic sea changes. Actions like recycling, reducing waste, protecting forests and the poles, and planting trees can help reduce the accelerated effects of global warming.
