3. The third chapter starts with the entry of Gabriel in Jonas’ family dwelling. While Father was parking his bicycle, Lily goes up to the newborn and notices the rare pale eyes that the child had. She remarks about how rare and funny they were. Jonas did not appreciate pointing differences between individuals ,not only Because he also had them, nor was it a Rule but it was regarded rude to do so. 5. Jonas recalls a bizarre incident that happened with Him once while playing with Asher in the Recreation Area during the recreation period. They were playing A game of catch with an apple. They threw the ball to each other, caught it and then threw it back. There was nothing new about the game. But, Suddenly once when Asher threw the Apple to him, When it was in mid air, Jonas saw a short, sudden Change in the fruit. He did not realize what it was. He thought of it just as an unknown Change. He becomes desperate to see it again but it does not happen for a few times. Then it occurs again – The Change. He is so bewildered by the incident that he takes the apple home to study it. However he had To apologize for taking items from the recreation area home. Question 1 : What do you think the change was? Write a paragraph on your thoughts. Question 2 : How did Jonas confirm that he was seeing right? Relate it to a real life incident of yours.
