The document discusses the spiritual battle Christians face against evil forces. It notes that the battle is primarily over ideas and truth claims, not physical power. Christians are instructed to armor themselves with truth, prayer, and unity with other believers. They should rely on God's strength rather than their own intellect when confronting evil schemes. Constant prayer is emphasized as important for withstanding temptation and not losing heart in difficult times.
Dear sisters and brothers,
It is very easy to fall into temptations if we are craving for many things and if we have problems with our identity.

This lesson is based on the Armor of God spoekn by Paul in Ephesians 6:10-17. The importance is understanding the armor is not loaned, but owned. It must be put on before the battle rages on.
We live in a a dark world filled with evil spiritual beings who want to kill, steal and destroy our happiness and relationship with God. Jesus faced many spiritual battles, so does every person. Every Christian is a soldier who needs to know the enemies tacts, how to defend himself and how to attack. The Bible reveals all this critical information.

We’re Wrestling Who? - Ephesians 6:10-13David Turner
Our battles are not against flesh and blood. Our battles are against Principalities and Powers. These adversaries are much bigger than us and cannot be defeated by our own strength. In Ephesians 6:10-13 Paul identifies who we are really wrestling with and follows up with advice on how to compete to gain victory. For this and other PowerPoint Presentations go to www.Bibleguy.org.

Realizing your personal destiny and call in Christ by Prof Thio - 19/11/11zionyaf
Prof Thio will be speaking on the topic of realizing our personal destiny and call in Christ. As God's elect, we have a calling to fulfill. Paul expressed this as a prayer to the Thessalonians, "With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may bring to fruition your every desire for goodness and your every deed prompted by faith." (2 Thessalonians 1:11)
Are you affirmed of your calling in Christ? Have you been seeking to know and obey wherever God calls you to? Is your spiritual walk with Him deadening?
Prof Thio will be speaking on a topic that is particularly relevant in a world where secular humanist philosophies reign dominant. That humanity, instead of God, is the measure of all things - the very motivation of pride that led to the building of the Tower of Babel.
The talk will be centered on 2 Cor 10:5, where Paul declared against such forms of philosophy, "We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ." Paul further warned in Col 2:8,
"See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ."
The world, the flesh and the devil are hostile to true faith in God because all three are at enmity with God, hate Jesus (who is God come in flesh), and therefore hate those whom Christ has chosen out of this world. What hope is there for Christians facing such enemies? How can we "stand against the evil of the day"?

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

17. The Future 2 Timothy 3:1-7 (NASB) But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money…ungrateful, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power;……always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
