The Fossils are
   coming!
So, just what are your options???
Paper Mache
• You can make your fossil out of paper mache.
• You need:
   – balloons (optional) to create a shape,
   – paste,
   – newspapers/ magazines,
   – paint.
• This should not be big as you only have 1 period to make it. It should be
  to scale.
Play Dough
• You can shape your fossil out of play dough.
• There is only a small amount of play dough, so plan wisely.
• You can supplement with your own supplies if you wish.
• Dry out the dough (overnight).
• Paint your fossil.

• N.B. If there is enough modeling clay, you can shape your fossil with this
  also.
Plaster of Paris
• You flatten modelling clay (provided).
• Press your fossil into the modelling clay to make a mold.
• Put vaseline or spay around your mold.
• Pour Plaster of Paris into the mold.
• Allow to set.
• Paint your fossil (optional).
Decide with your partner:
1) What kind of fossil you want to
make.
2) What are you going to make it
from.
3)… Now it’s time to get planning…

Have fun!
