EDI Equality and Diversity Course Level 2<br />Aims<br />This qualification is appropriate for those who wish to gain underpinning knowledge and understanding of equality and diversity. It will specifically enable learners to understand the legal issues, conduct, codes of practice and policies surrounding the creation of a culture that promotes equality and values diversity.<br />Assessment Objectives<br />The assessment enables candidates to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of:-<br />1.1 the key features of a culture which promotes equality and values diversity<br />1.2 the importance of the promotion of equality and valuing of diversity for an effective workplace<br />1.3 the behaviour appropriate to the promotion of equality and valuing of diversity<br />1.4 how to actively help others in the promotion of equality and valuing of diversity<br />1.5 how to contribute effectively to promoting equality and valuing diversity<br />Assessment<br />The multiple-choice test has 30 questions; candidates should attempt all of the questions in 60 minutes<br />The multiple-choice test is graded as Pass or Fail.<br />The test will cover the syllabus topics within the unit as follows:<br />Syllabus topics and approximate weighting<br />1.1 The key features of a culture which promotes equality and values diversity 37%<br />1.2 The importance of the promotion of equality and valuing of diversity for an effective workplace 20%<br />1.3 the behaviour appropriate to the promotion of equality and valuing of diversity 17%<br />1.4 How to actively help others in the promotion of equality and valuing of diversity 13%<br />1.5 How to contribute effectively to promoting equality and valuing diversity 13%<br />Previous learning requirements<br />There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.<br />Workbook available on Blackboard or:-<br />J Drive > Cross College > All Staff > OFSTED > Equality and Diversity Workbook<br />
